Dealt with Peter Quon at Bamber who rented a basement suite on behalf of the landlord. Seemed nice and professional at first but beware. Promised full basement but upon moving in the landlord decreased the size of the unit by 1/3 claiming the area was a common area (not discussed in the contract). Since, I have multiple people come down into my unit without notice (invasion of privacy). Continually being harassed by Peter and my landlord. If promised a product and you don't receive it in its entirety, why would I be pay the full amount. Total lack of ethical nature.

George Bamber is stuck in the 80s: His website is not totally mobile responsive, he does not return email communication, his staff in common areas do not wear masks, there is no plexi glass at the front desk, the kid that works at reception has no clue how to run a guest service desk/reception and one of his realtors is in breach of RECA privacy regulations. Some of his realtors can barely spell nor know how to evaluate real estate deals and come unprepared for showings. He does not seem to take care of his brand - in fact he many not know what this word brand even means since he is a just "rent" collector. This breed of "business person" is dying fast and being replaced by competent operators that come from a business (and not mls) background.

Reached out to Punam to rent a property that they have listed on rent faster. She had no idea about the property and nobody from the company had visited the property according to the previous owner who showed it to us. We needed to set up a second viewing for the other tennant to see the house, and when I suggested a time asked if it worked for them she stopped responding. Three days and three messages from me later, two hours before I had suggested to meet I am asked if I can still make it. I drop everything I was doing and make my way to the showing. Mani shows us the house and it goes well. We want to move forward, so we are sent the application and told to send it to Mani. The next business day I am asked to provide the same information from the application, where it is then revealed Punam is setting things up without even having a copy of my application. I then send her a copy of my application because she can't get ahold of Mani. I have communicated verbally to Mani and on paper to both of them that I was looking to rent January first. Yesterday I was asked if I could meet that night to sign the documents. We were unable to both be there so I asked if we could meet at noon today. At 9:30 this morning I'm told to meet outside a local restaurant, and to bring first month's rent and damage deposit. I told her we were able to bring the deposit with us today, and we would have rent the day we actually took occupancy of the house, to which she stated that the date of the rental would be for December 1st, confirming that she hadn't actually read my application. She apologized for the "miscommunication" to which I said it's unacceptable that I have gotten this far into the application process despite communicating multiple times that I'm looking for possession on January 1st, to which she said "I am sorry you feel that way". A complete lack of accountability, hard to communicate with, poor internal company communication. Seriously do not deal with these people.
