We listed our house with a local agent and it sold with market conditions in 2 days and our search for our new home began. I have bought and sold lots of real estate over the years but I have never had an experience this overwhelmingly good. From my initial contact with the brokerage I received a very quick response. Thomas the agent made an effort to meet and look at the property the same day. After some research and quick negotiation on value I went ahead and listed the property immediately. The process was done in a few minutes on an iPad that was fully automated with listing agreements. A photographer arrived quickly, took excellent shots, drone photography and a 3D walk through tour was setup. Excellent feature booklets were made and the property was listed on the local board and TREB (Toronto). I was then setup with an App that would provide me with scheduled showings in real-time of agents visiting with prospective buyers. Over 40 showings were received and multiple offers arrived very quickly and we then made a decision to sell to the right party. Paperwork followed quickly, my lawyer approved it and the deal was firmed up in 1 day. Faris Team operates like a well oiled machine. I have been a 25 yr business owner and CEO of a technology company and it takes a lot to impress me. Delivering a gift box the very next morning of the accepted deal was like a cherry on top of an incredible experience. The fact that Faris Team has organized their business around client-centric principles sold me. In a town where businesses are frustratingly uncompetitive, Faris Team stands out for their dedication, speed, efficiency and above all their ambition. Barrie needs more businesses like these. Caroline Faris deserves five stars as well, she's earned all of them. All I'd like to say is, she will go 'FULL OUT FOR YOU'.

Although I have not personally used their service, I deeply question the integrity and ethics of The Faris Team's operations. I was illegally evicted by my landlord, who not only removed my stove, front door and changed the locks without notice and not providing me new keys, he also told me to pack all my things within 24 hours and threatened to call the police if I went to the unit. The listing agent, Kimberly Parsons, was aware that I was a tenant occupying the basement unit and tried to sell the house while I was still living there. After trying to force me to sign an N-11, to which I refused to sign with out legally consult, I was illegally evicted yet she still proceeded to list the house after finding out what had happened to me. The house sold 3 weeks after I was kicked out. This is unethical behaviour and I feel like everyone should know that this agent, with the approval of The Faris Team, has demonstrated questionable behaviour, questionable ethics and integrity, and questionable judgement. The Faris Team does not care about what happens to the tenants of houses they sell. They did not even offer to help me find a new place to rent nor did they reach out to me to make sure that I not only understood the documents they never even ask me about how I felt about the whole situation. They are a brokerage that cares only about selling homes and making money. I will never use The Faris Team and I will never recommend them.

If I could leave 0 stars for Melissa Lavender from the Faris team I would. We were led on and lied to by this woman for a week. We were working to purchase a home she was representing the sellers for. She strung us along while we continued to do everything her clients asked, submitted multiple offers and changed our closing date to accommodate their needs. She submitted an acceptance that did not have the proper signatures and then asked us to send another offer, saying her clients were on board to sign. She asked for 48 hours irrevocable so her clients could discuss, which we provided. It turned out to be one big lie to us, with stories that weren't panning out. We were told that listing was going to be suspended, since the issue the clients had was not with our offer and it should be accepted soon. This did not happen. Instead, she continued to show the house and accept offers. In the end, the offer that was accepted was conditional and $9,000 LESS than our firm offer, no conditions, just because the deposit was bigger (which we could have easily done). She ignored our realtor multiple times when we requested information or updates and didn't give us the opportunity to raise our deposit or change our offer after we bent over backwards for her and her clients all week long. She ultimately failed her clients and failed us. We were cheated, lied to, and strung along. Do not recommend dealing with her, she can't be trusted and obviously is not very good if she couldn't get her clients the best, highest offer possible.

After failing to sell our home through another agent after a year on the market, the Faris team came in and simply proved they are the best. Their stager did an incredible job by just suggesting minimal improvements, the photographers pictures were 1000x better than the former agents photos and showed a more accurate depiction on the property. The customer service was seamless and incredible, from things like checking with us to see if we required new brochures (the last agent didn't call to check in, we had to request showing feedback, etc), and when it came down to it, helped draw hard fair lines with the prospective (and eventual) buyer. I found that this company really lacked any sort of personal touch when it came to how they treat their clients. It seems as though they value quantity over quality and you are therefore just another house for them to sell and move on. Because of the way they have their company set up, every aspect of selling your house is handled by different people and they all call you directly to coordinate, and they don’t all seem to have the information that you have already shared with your realtor so you have to repeat yourself a lot. One of the most disappointing things was that they say that they have staging services, but they don’t actually stage your house. They just have someone come over and remind you to remove personal photos and make sure counters are clear before the house is listed. Which seems pretty obvious. They don’t bring in any furniture or decor items at all, that’s up to you to provide. This should be made clear to clients at the time of signing the contract as it would have had an impact on my decision to use this company had I known this. The only point at which I felt there was a personal appreciation for me as a client was when I had a conversation with their head of IT because there were problems with their automated systems due to someone entering our contact information incorrectly and no one being able to fix it. Also some glitches with their photography booking system. She took the time to reach out to me to understand the problem and hear my feedback. She also sent a handwritten note with flowers and a gift to thank me for taking the time to talk to her. I unfortunately forget her name at this point but she was the only person I was impressed with at this company. I have worked with 2 realtors prior to this sale on other properties and both of them took the time to get to know us as people so they better understood how to help us. They also took care of all of the aspects of buying and selling a house and were the one main point of contact that we could call anytime with any concerns. I felt that they both really appreciated our business. I definitely didn’t feel that working with Faris. I will not use this company again.
