Buying a home is one of live's biggest and most stressful events. Stephanie made this experience as stress free as it could be. Last month I purchased my first piece of real estate through Nick Hazzi, and my experience with him and his team at Vantage West was an absolute dream. Being a first time real estate buyer the process was new to me and could have been nerve wracking if I hadn't chosen Nick as my realtor. My family finally decided on a new home in the Black Mountain area and they had been recommended Vantage by a friend. They did quite enjoy the service from AJ, however the individual, Cassandra, who was doing most of the "work" was extremely unprofessional, said things no sales person should ever say to clients, ever, and not to be rude, just honest, but what a bland personality she had. Both myself and my mother, who was purchasing the home, have been in the sales industry our entire carrers, we've been through handfuls of seminars, years of experience, we are extremely well versed in client relations and this particular "realtor" would repeatedly tell my mother and her hubby how mad the builder was that they're asking to lower the price, what? Who is she working for? Her clients or the builder? Does she realize that this is her literal job? I get it, as a sales person, there's always going to be a bottom line, but telling a client inadvertently you're bad at your job, builders are getting mad at you, should never be part of the conversation. You act professionally and you work, you chase that money and build repoir, you don't destroy it. I will never forget when she told my mom that "maybe this isint the right home for you", I was dumbfounded. No honey, this is just too much work for you. She was also resistant to showing the homes multiple times, we had determined that it may have been interfering with her social life as the times she was resistant were times she showed up what I would call "ready for the club". Other times she would show up in stretch pants, not dressed in any professional manner, however on two occasions she did present herself semi professional. Not once did she suggest any other properties, which we also found odd coming from a "sales person". This all transpired over a year ago, I hope that for Cassandra she has learned from her inadequacies and has become a realtor with more integrity, drive and emotional intelligence. This isn't an industry where it's easy money all day, yes in some cases it maybe, we came knowing exactly what we wanted & she just made everything difficult and was not a pleasure to work with by any means. I hope she took this particular real estate transaction as an opportunity for growth and reflected on the situation and improved her overall performance. The only justification we made was that she lacked heavily in experience, which was why she was so terrible at her job. I can't say that after this experience we would recommend her to anyone. Reply to AJ's response: I know at times this type of information can be hard to digest, and while I fully comprehend your willingness to make things right but as stated in my review this transpired roughly a year ago & I struggle to comprehend what can be made right at this point in time. My mother and partner did purchase the home through Cassandra. I decided to wait on posting this review due to the fact that I would have left one star if I had done his immediately after the home purchase. I think you should know that multiple times Cassandra suggested they break contract, perhaps it was because she found my mother difficult, but that is not something that she should be forthcoming about directly to the client, that should have been discussed with her team who should have been coaching her on how to adapt to different types of clients. As a sales team manager myself, I'm asking where is her support system? Where's is her leader? Is she not communicating what transpires when they're not around? Is she asking her mentors how do I make this situation positive for me and my client. Trust me AJ, I will defend my team to the end aswell, I did see something when I hired them afterall. If they possess some of the abilities to create success for my establishment, and if they don't, I will work to help them develop, grow and get them there. I believe this needed to be said, your company should be made aware when certain situations don't go as well as they should have.

Amanda Tak Went above and beyond over and over again on my behalf as the seller of a property with three rentals on it in Kelona BC. I knew Vantage West was a good real estate office but I truly believe that Amanda is the jewel in the crown of that office. She is so helpful to me as a person as well as her actions as a realtor showed me she was on top of it she cared. Her list of people to help me with things that needed to be done to the property was extensive and good price and they did a great job. I had an excellent experience working with Amanda Tak. It started about a year ago when due to life happenings I was put into a position where I had to sell my beautiful home in the country and down size to a smaller more affordable home closer to town. I saw an ad for a small house and called about it, left a message and was called back by Amanda, turned out the house was not for me but I was asked by her if she could come out and meet me to see if she could assist me in finding another place. She did come out and the search began. For about the first six months we looked at a few potential places that would meet my criteria for want I wanted but was not able to put an offer in on any because my place was not selling with another realtor so I had to wait patiently. Finally my place was sold on Nov. 30 at which time the search intensified. Amanda got serious about finding me what I really wanted and when we did find one that I was interested in looking at she went to bat for me to get all my questions answered as quickly as possible. Once we were out looking at a couple showings and I asked to take a drive by a place. We parked in front of the place and she said to me " I can't go and knock on their door because I am a realtor and they are under contract and it's not allowed but you could go knock on the door and ask about it. I said no, that's okay, I don't want to do that so she put the car in park, folded her arms in front of her and said I'm not going anywhere until you go knock on the door. So I did and found out that the house had been bought so that took the place right off my mind so I could continue searching for others. Now, six months later after Amanda putting in countless hours of work trying to find the perfect place for me, I am now living in my new home and am extremely happy with it and how everything came together in the end. Once again I will say that Amanda went to bat for me many times through the whole transaction and got me the best deal possible.House searching with Amanda was always fun and we had many laughs, there was never a dull moment. We live in Northern BC and became interested in lake front real estate in the Okanagan. Friends of ours recommended Amanda Tak as they had recently bought a property on the lake through Amanda and were really impressed with how hard she worked for them. We reached out to Amanda and she gave us an excellent overview of the market and, thru discussions with her, helped us narrow down what we were looking for. She then began sending us postings that fit what we were looking for and had regular communications with us regarding our thoughts on various properties. When a property struck our interest she was quick to find out additional information, and as we were a 10 hour drive away, she would check out the property for us if she was not familiar with it already. We were in the Okanagan visiting family and Amanda made the time to meet with us in person and get to know us better. She continued to keep us informed as new listings came up. When a particularly interesting property in Vernon came up she immediately arranged a walkthrough with us on FaceTime so we could see the house and property. Working with her team we put in a successful offer on the property and began working thru the due diligence. This particular house was relatively old and there were many obstacles to work through. We felt that Amanda always kept our best interest in mind throughout this process. She had a fantastic network of contacts (contractors, home inspector, property managers, etc) that were available on short notice to help us navigate the obstacles that presented themselves, and she was very good at contacting other realtors, city officials, and government officials to ensure that we got the information we needed and the answers to any questions that we had. She was always available when we needed her and we definitely felt that she, and her team, worked very hard for us. Amanda continued to work for us even after we got possession of the property and completed the final walkthrough of the property with the former owner and got the keys on our behalf. I'm sure the fact that we were doing all of this from a distance made Amanda's job more difficult, although she certainly never made us feel that way, and she willingly found ways to make this work. We found Amanda to be very easy to work with, fun, friendly, knowledgeable, passionate about her role, hard working, with a high degree of integrity. We were extremely pleased with our experience buying a home thru her and would not hesitate to recommend her to any prospective clients.

Once I fell in love though, the dream almost fell through due to financing issues and Amanda worked so hard to connect me with the right people to help me get through that hurdle when I lost all hope!
