It’s been many years since I have had to hunt for a house. Things haven’t changed much. Well if you don’t include the level of customer service out there. When I first started searching back in April, I found a house that I wanted to see. I tried contacting the realtor on their website. No one ever responded. So, I tried another realtor site. Once again not even the courtesy of a reply. In total I tried 5 different realtors, using the internet and leaving voice mails. Good lord! Have things become that bad? You can’t even bother to contact a buyer? In the long run I decided to leave a note on the door of the house I was interested in. Explaining that their realtor and others wouldn’t answer my inquiry. It had been a week at that point. As luck would have it, the owner answered the door while I was placing the note. I introduced myself and explained the problem. She was some angry! Not at me, but with her realtor. I suggested she find someone a little more motivated to handle her sale. As it turns out the house in question was not to my liking and the search continued. Once I found another house that I was interested in, I figured I would call RE/MAX Excellence whom I had found on the internet. A pleasant lady told me someone would call me right back. Sure, I’ve heard that before, right? Well wonders of wonders I got a call back in minutes from Cecille Boyne. Right from the start I felt a connection with Cecille. It was apparent to me that I was dealing with someone who had a lot of experience (25 years I think). Cecille was easy to speak with and made us comfortable right away. She arranged for us to see the house right away. In the course of a couple of months Cecille was very patient with my wife and I. Always ready to answer questions, even if they weren’t the brightest! She went out of her way to make my wife feel confident and heard. My wife has a challenge with the English language and not everyone makes the effort to listen and understand her. Cecille never tried to SELL us a house. Matter of fact she often pointed out issues and offered opinions on homes we viewed. I built a great level of respect for her. I also felt a level of trust knowing she wasn’t just trying to close a deal. In one week of this writing we will be closing on our new home. Things couldn’t have been easier. The whole experience has been nothing but a pleasure. This is what happens when your realtor has experience, an easy-going personality and understands people. Thank you Cecille! I am so thankful the other 5 realtors didn’t answer my inquiries. I may have had a very different experience. As for you 5 and others in your industry. You want to hire Cecille to teach you a couple of things. Little wonder this woman is so successful.

I have to say I could not be more pleased with the performance and results of Scott Holliday. His guidance and patients was far beyond our expectations. My wife and I spent many nights feeling we needed to make a decision because of how many months we dragged out finding a house we wanted, but at the same time were not sure what we wanted. Scott Holliday kept coming to the table with more options, constantly asking great questions to help us understand what we wanted so he could also research houses that met our desires. Being a buyers market we had time on our side and he kept reinforcing that which in return made us feel less stressed about making a decision. Tides shifted when we decided on a new home build…being ignorant in this area we met with builders on the side and low and behold after speaking with Scott Holliday about this he was able to assist in this area also. Saving us that stress and also negotiating with the builders, pointing out things I thought were wins on our end but in their world they were not. Even though he knew we wanted it on day one he still didn’t push to buy the house and let us find our own way to the house we wanted. We bombarded him with listings we wanted to see and he would show us houses sold in the area (sale price, purchase price and property taxes). These are things that I expected myself to have to do…so out of character I decided to post this to share my experience. With saying that, I share with you a person that put my wife and I first versus a pay cheque. All I have to say is get yourself a Holliday today if you want to find a great investment or your dream home.

And they get you in the contract that you could never get out. Don't sign anything with them if you want to try them out.
