Darren and his team were wonderful to work with! Our condo was very hard to sell and Darren and his team worked hard on finding us a buyer. He has amazing negotiating skills that really paid off for us! He will always be our go to for a realtor

I have numerous complaints regarding Redline Property Management. I moved into my basement suite with my roommate on Oct. 31, 2014. From the get go we had issues with getting repairs done. Within the first month, I filed numerous requisitions on issues that needed fixing and were noted on my initial walk through but never followed up on. These included but are not limited to a leaky water heater, broken closet hanging rods, severe plumbing issues, windows missing or improperly fitted, and a handful of other issues. Only a couple of these issues were ever resolved the entire year I lived there. Contractor based issues that arose during my tenancy were completely ignored until I had 3 months left in my tenancy, and were probably only dealt with as my neighbor who lived upstairs had issues that needed resolved as well. General customer service was also an issue the entire time of my tenancy. It would sometimes take a dozen or more calls into their call centre before getting a reply. The only time they were prompt is if there was an issue with rent being paid on time. In these circumstances, I made sure to aware them of pertinent issues that needed taken care of as part of my rent payment. I would not recommend renting any property managed by Redline. Although most of their staff is pleasant, their unwillingness to provide even basic customer service is beyond frustrating. *In response to owner's response* As I mentioned above, I filled out numerous requisitions through your online service system, sent email requests as well as verbally communicated with your staff many times regarding needed repairs. I believe one of your staff even emailed me an apology 8-9 months into my lease regarding long overdue repairs. It was at that time that contractors started coming to the house to give quotes on the work needed done. But even that wasn't handled well as no less than 7 contractors were sent out over the last 3 months of my lease but no work was ever started. Many notes were made by your staff on my account but repairs requested in November 2014 when I initially moved in as well as throughout my time living there were still not repaired when I moved out at the end of October 2015.

I have been using Redline for 3 years now to manage the rental of a condo that I own, and the service has been great. They have been able to rent my place at good rates, and have handled any maintenance issues with minimal effort on my end. Would highly recommend.

Catherine Marie Young

Extremely satisfied with the service provided by this outstanding group of people! As a real estate lawyer, it’s great to get clients from realtors who know their stuff and help them close their deals together. I’ve never met a Redline realtor I didn’t like! Highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property!

This company came up when I was looking for a firm to work on my behalf to rent my executive home. After two general questions sent through there website and over a week of no response back I started to think this was going to be a BAD company to represent Me and my home. So I filled out there online form to receive more information and application. Needless to say after reading the fine print and going through all the points on their form I am for-sure not going with this company. I Own my home and would allow pets, yet they will charge the tenant $25 extra (NO it's MY house) and I allow it. They state YOU the owner needs to have two million liability which other firms state the Renter needs this. They charge $200 if the current tenant will just continue to rent for another fixed term which other firms don't even charge. The List goes on with this company…STAY AWAY try the many other companies out in Calgary. This firm basically wants to get paid for doing very little work. Oh and just another quick one they charge you 15% of all the research, hunting and hiring of a contractor that you do, while they sit and do not a single thing.

As a realtor, I have been with a few real estate brokerages in the past but none have been as forward thinking or involved with their agents as Redline Real Estate. The leadership team there promotes a culture of collaboration, team building, and trust. They have helped their agents by creating a beautiful, modern office to meet clients, regular tips on how to generate business, opportunities for off market properties, and a buyer/seller registry that no other brokerage has in Calgary. They have contributed to my success and I recommend any agent, young or old to explore the opportunity to improve their business by joining Redline Real Estate. Thank you Redline!

Alex Gerundini (TheCalgaryRealtor)

Great brokerage to work for with exceptional support!

I've had the pleasure of working with Darren and the team from Redline Real Estate Group multiple times over the past years. They are nothing but professional and have a suite of skills in the industry unlike any other real estate team. They truly are well rounded and will support you in your sale or purchase of your new home!

HUGE shoutout to Joanna Wood for helping me purchase my first home. As a first time home buyer I had a thousand questions (some at unruly hours). She was so amazing! The entire process was flawless and stress free. I get my keys tomorrow morning, and I couldn't be more excited. Thank you doesn't even cover it Joanna! You truly rock!

Eymeric Widling

Great experience with Redline!

Amanda McLeod

Our realtor was terrible. She gave us a place that wasn't done, and also forgot about our move in date. We moved here from out of province and we're disappointed with the place we were given. She then tried to tell us they put in new floors (when there are at least 4 different colours of paint on them). We have also mentioned items that need to be fixed in our place but never get responses back or contacted to get them fixed. Not to mention the bugs in our apartment that were never mentioned before renting (gross). Over all I haven't been happy with the place I got. Renter beware.

RadicalDreamer

I'm not sure what company some of these people are dealing with, maybe some of the realtors are bad, but the RedLine head office I deal with is super friendly, helpful, and timely. Always jump on fixing things. I thought it would be difficult dealing with a management company or lack of that human connection. Since going with them over a year ago the process was easy, renewing was easy, inspections are quick and easy, great communications and emails, and recently they have worked with me and helped me stay in my home something I didn't expect! I would recommend them. I bet half these bad reviews are people expecting something not implied or didn't read the fine print.

Scott L

Terrible staff. Evicted us after 3 months when we had a 6 month lease because they "decided" to sell the apartment. This is in February with a daughter less then a year old. Scam artists in my opinion had us sign a 6 month lease knowing they only needed occupancy for 3 months. Sent us an email suggesting we look at the other available rental properties. Dont trust them and dont use them.

Chantelle Storey

Amazing company and brand the service is outstanding on all aspects of any real estate deal you need done !!

The Redline team truly cares about their clients and the community they serve. No question they are the trusted pros in town.

I have purchased a few houses using Redline Real Estate Group now. Their expertise and knowledge of the real estate industry is uncanny. I recommend Redline to anyone thinking about buying or selling. Keep up the good work guys!

Lisa Kauffmann

Amazing brokerage. Client care is top notch and they go over and above any other brokerage to do the best for their clients

We dealt with Redline Real Estate to rent our first apartment as tenants, and primarily corresponded with an awesome leasing agent named Joanna. She was prompt, very easy to get along with, and able to answer any and all questions we had for her. She was very thorough when carrying out the unit's inspection before moving in. In addition, she was also very accommodating to our specific concerns, so overall, we've had a very positive experience with Redline so far. We're still very early into our lease but so far, so good. There are still a couple maintenance requests from the initial inspection that have yet to be acted on, but submitting new requests seems like an easy process thanks to their online tenant portal. Really liking Redline so far!

Mike Sherrard

Redline is without a doubt the best real estate brokerage in Calgary. From their industry leading innovative strategies to get homes sold for more money in less time, to the concierge experience they provide to each and every customer, there is no other brokerage that competes with this level of extraordinary service and results.

Kelly Grams

Really enjoyed the Marketing methods of Redline Real Estate. It's a fresh new way to get the Buy/Sell process kickstarted. More and more the Redline signs are popping up everywhere.

Dawn Wheeler

Fantastic culture! such an awesome group of agents! Redline brings Realestate to the new age with amazing realtors that are real people and understand what their clients really need.

Darren and his team have really been helpful and responsive to all of our real estate needs. Our house sold for above list and we had multiple offers in two days when the market was slowing down. There were two other homes on our same block listed for sale for weeks and months before our home was listed. I think due to Darren’s exceptional marketing skills and advice, we were much more efficient in the sale of our home compared to the other realtors on the block. Either Darren or someone on his team responds quickly if we have a question or concern. I have recommended him to others with great success. I would not hesitate to use Darren again for any of my real estate transactions.

Mostafizur Rahman

Very bad staff and discipline. Didn't give us our deposit money back and made ridiculous excuses. I will never recommend anyone to go through this hassle.

I write this as a last resort to inform others of the nightmare we have experienced with Redline Real Estate. I rented with them for nearly 4 ½ years. Over the course of those 4 years I learned from experience that they were not “quick” to help with problems, issues or anything really. On July 16, 2016 our basement began the flood from groundwater seepage – immediately we reported it to Redline. They seemed vaguely concerned and sent a few people who took photos. We stayed diligent in requesting updates and timelines for fixing the mess. We ended up calling a Public Health Inspector to complete an inspection to help move the process along. She filed a report to Redline and to us with a long list of repairs that needed to be addressed and completed by August 22, 2016 in order to make the house safe and healthy again for human habitation. Finally on July 23, 2016, after contacting the company numerous times, the water was removed but nothing was done to assess and remove the mold. I have severe asthma and a very severe allergy to mold. Already I was waking up at night with asthma attacks because of the mold growth. We asked to get out of the lease early (by one month) and our requests were ignored. Nothing else was done to the house. On August 4, 2016 we were told we could vacate the house at any time and the rent for August would be returned to us on a prorated basis. A few days later, it rained heavily again. More water entered the home through the basement and bathroom ceiling. I had to put pots under the ceiling because there was such a large amount of water leaking through the ceiling. I notified Redline on August 8th and no one returned our emails or phone calls until August 11th. The smell of the house was beyond explainable. We struggled to come up with the money for a new damage deposit, first month’s rent and short-notice move. We are living off of one income. Redline refused to return the security deposit until 10 days AFTER we moved out. We couldn’t afford the move but our health was at such a high risk we had no choice but to leave. We were literally forced and bullied out of our home. I write this because I do not want others to go through this. There are only two of us in this mess; I could not imagine going through this with children or with elderly people. We have had zero help or support from our so called property manager, Redline, and feel totally used and taken advantage of. We have been outstanding tenants; we have never missed a rent payment and have we treated our house as our own and we were literally kicked out. We asked for an additional $1000 to help with the costs we incurred while moving but, of course, this was rejected. Through the kindness of a friend, a mold specialist did an air quality test in the house before we evacuated it. After we moved, he came by to give us the report. He told us that in his entire career, this was the SECOND HIGHEST MOLD READING HE HAS EVER SEEN. Oh, and the first was a pile of wood chips.

The Darren Langille Real estate Team were such a treat to work with! I had the opportunity to work with both Darren and Aimee simultaneously and I was really blown away by their team work and ability to balance out the needs I had as a client. I had done all of my financing upfront and sold my other property so I was ready to pull the trigger on a purchase asap. Both made themselves available at the drop of a dime to get me in to see any properties I had interest in…even willing to work with family members I had to send on my behalf at times! The best part about working with this group was by far the customer service and the extra mile they would go to help me out. Having worked with a few different relators, this was by far one of the best experiences (and they have some tough competitors!) and I look forward to partnering with them again on my next sale/purchase.

I have only started renting through Redline recently, but I am overwhelmed with a how great this company is. They are very understanding and accommodating more so then others. They understand pets and do not charge large non refundable fees for your fur family. I am treated like a human with this company, and a special thanks to Nora for being understanding and so helpful.

Gordon Daniel

Highly recommended. Always professional and fair, Redline has been a great company to work with. From property management to renos and Realtors, these guys have made my life easier and my portfolio more profitable. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Redline!

I would never recommend Redline to even an enemy of mine. They are the definition of a slimy rental agency. During my time renting from them: 1. They did not do any verification/ reference check of a tenant who shared the suite below us who turned out to be an alcoholic drug using mother who did not last more than two months living there. 2. They would not provide a lawn mower when their previous one broke down for over 2 months. When they finally had one at the house two days later (once I mowed the grass) they notified me that the place was going up for sale. I guess they wanted the place to look presentable when there was commission involved for them. 3. I reported a broken window (from regular wear and tear) in January and reported it to them for repairs. They only permanently fixed it the day I was finally moving out (8 months later) and had the audacity to charge me for it on my damage deposit. When I complained and asked to speak to manager about this charge their unprofessional and rude property manager refused to do so and suggested I bring this up with the Tenant Board. AVOID DEALING WITH REDLINE IF YOU WANT TO QUALITY SERVICE AND RENTAL AGENCY YOU CAN TRUST

One of the very best group of realtors in the city. Looked around for months to find out what company was really exceeding clients and agent expectations in the city, and Redline Real Estate Group was the one that really stood out.

Blake Reynolds

We purchased our new home with Joanna Wood and cannot say enough about how helpful and professional she is. Would highly recommend Joanna if you looking for a trust worthy and knowledgeable realtor.

I had very bad experience with them, they will do anything for not return your deposit back, they are very slow in maintenance and while the sales personnel are kind and decent, the receptionist was not. The legal department never answered my phone or email. Don't make business with them unless you want your life to be miserable.

Hilary Lyne

Beware! Had a horrific experience with this company. We hired them to rent our property and maintain it last year. Renting it was no issue, but the maintenance was a disaster. Yes, the flood happened and a lot of others had major work to be done, so we patiently waited for our turn (for repairs that pre-dated the flood). The biggest issue with these people is their complete lack of honest communication about their time frame to complete the projects which they're being paid handsomely to complete. For months they said, 'it'll be done monday' or 'it'll be done in two weeks.' Or, worse, "I'll have an update for you Monday" said the office administrator who was leaving that day for a two week vacation so she knew full well she wasn't going to call me Monday. It started as frustration over the lack of service which turned into frustration over being lied to. Our tenants reported broken things and water damage issues and Redline claimed they'd never heard from the tenants. They need more staff in the office, more maintenance staff and an attitude adjustment when it comes to being service providers. We told them all of this when we fired them. Do business with them at your own risk!

Wade Graham

These guys are pros! Perfect? No, but who is? What I do love about them is that when there is an issue they deal with it quickly, fairly and professionally. What more can you ask of a Property Manager? I've been using this company for over 5 years and would highly recommend them. Get in touch with me if you have any questions regarding their services. Be well Wade

As a large dog owner and a renter, I am so used to having to defend my dogs existence to real estate companies that Redline's AMAZING response to his presence in my life completely floored me! Our agent, Joanna (A+++ agent, by the way!), did not instantly recoil in fear when I said "dog" and even better, she did not even come close to fainting from shock when I said "large dog" either! I was speechless! Here was a real estate agency judging me, not the number of legs my best friend has, but rather on the content of my character! Good people raise good pets and Redline gets that completely! On top of that, everything about my experience was, and still is, top notch! Communication is swift and pleasant and concerns are addressed rapidly and respectfully. It genuinely feels like my comfort is their priority and that is quite simply, refreshing.

Redline are in the process of renting our townhouse out: no tenant yet, but service is always prompt and staff knowledgable!

I rarely leave reviews but this guy is TOP notch!!! I've had the pleasure of working with Viktor Borazcuk on a number of real estate transactions. Not only is Viktor professional but he is also extremely knowledgeable about what he is selling. Take it from me as a custom builder & home inspector. Most importantly, Viktor is able to understand and read his clients needs accurately. I am extremely impressed by his expertise in the market and can’t say enough good things. I would highly recommend Viktor to anybody looking for a new home. - Tyler & Team at 2020

Avoid this company! We used them for property management when we had to live in a different city for work we rented out our house. The tenants destroyed it and caused thousands of dollars in damage. Our property manager "accidentally" gave the damage deposit back to the tenants. And even though it was their mistake, they refused to cover it for us. It even got escalated to the top of the company and they were nothing but rude and extremely unprofessional. We never saw any of our money. The damage was much more than the deposit would have covered, but it would have helped. That's why there's a damage deposit. Save yourself the heartache!

Connor Brown

BEWARE of unnecessary damage deposit reductions! Inspector decided to show up earlier then our planned appointment and perform the inspection without us. In addition, they never presented us or had us sign the inspection summary before issuing us our damage deposit. Many of the costs could have been avoided but they continued to push our attempts to settle the issue to the bottom of their list. Be prepared for week long waits for feedback and unprofessional behavior.

Highly HIGHLY recommend!! We stumbled across Redline by chance and are so happy we did. We worked with agent Scott Thain and he went above and beyond on every occasion to make the sale of our home and purchase of our new home run smoothly and efficiently. Scott's communication was excellent, thorough and consistent, keeping us advised every step of the way. Even after his job was done, Scott continued to follow up to ensure we were satisfied and had no further needs. We will be recommending Redline and Scott specifically to everyone we know and plan to use his services in the future!

Redline has been a fantastic company to rent through! All of the staff from the showing to the end of my lease were absolutely amazing. Any time I had a question or needed help with anything, there was always someone there to guide me through or direct me to the right person. If I left a message it was always promptly returned. Everyone I came into contact with were nothing but respectful and kind, and were always willing to answer any questions or address any concerns, even if they didn't know the answer right away. They worked very hard to make sure that the property was taken care of, and always advised if plans had changed. I truly enjoyed the time renting one of their properties, and I am very thankful to everyone that I dealt with along the way. The people who work there make all of the difference in the world! I highly recommend renting with them. Thank you!

Adam Read

I’m a big fan of Redline, we have interacted with both owners on a residential and commercial level. Fantastic company, looking forward to dealing with them in the future. Adam, Air Towne Inc.

Reza Chini

They were polite and responsive. My issue is with their line of work and bussiness model. If you understand that you will see how they actually can work against you. Well if I ever have to rent again, I will not do it through a real state group. I rather deal with the landlords directly (you can always cut some deals with them) but these companies are trying to make money from you and resolve some issues that are irrelevant from renters point of view and guess what you must pay for that. You basically give them your money and all the decision making power. They decide and you pay without any control. If you disagree, with their contract they will make you to keep quite (remember you have a closed lease with them and you are committed to the place for 1 year willy nilly) . From 2014 it is a buyers market. Reduced price and negotiation are very common now why should you stick to a fixed, long term & expensive contract. Its madness. I had rented for 6 years before dealing with them and i was happy renting but they made me to think about owning a place after renting. I am an owner now, a good ending from a bad experience...

Darren Langille and Red Line Real Estate Team were recommended to me by a friend and I will be doing the same! The upfront marketing effort was second to none and the listing was impressive. My condo was definitely set up for success to sell. There was regular communication and any questions I had were answered almost instantly. The team utilizes an automated showing system which made approving viewings a breeze. Darren and his team took care of me throughout the whole process from listing, to finalizing the sale paperwork, and ensuring a smooth possession day! -Megan & Wade

Exceptional Service from the Calgary Redline office. We would highly recommend Redline Real Estate Group's Calgary office to anyone looking for a place in the Calgary area. My husband and I decided to settle in Calgary about a year ago now. When we made the choice that Calgary was where we wanted to stay we were a bit overwhelmed with all the rental options available here in the city. We spent a while hunting before we settled on one of Redline's rental postings. All the places we looked at either wouldn't allow our medium-sized dog, or had questionable landlords. We also found most rentals were great for college-aged singles or families; not a couple starting out. With all that said, when we found our place with Redline we were relieved to say the least. Not only did Redline help us find a reasonably priced rental that worked for the two of us and our furry friend, but they also helped us transition to a larger rental when one became available. Our one caveat is that our review is based on the team we dealt with at the office, and not of all their individual property managers.

Zul Jamal

Can't say enough great things about Redline, we purchased investment properties through them and along side their management division the whole process is far better than what we had been accustom to before.

Jolanda Bjorkman

As a first time home buyer, I had a lot of questions and concerns about the buying process. I met with numerous realtors in the city but after I met Darren Langille, I looked no further. My house hunt was a very enjoyable and educational process and I found my dream condo within a few short weeks. During my house hunt, I expressed my interest in finding a property that had the potential to increase in value. 15 months after the purchase, I made the decision to move to British Columbia and decided to sell my recently purchased home. It sold within a month for an excellent profit proving that Darren understood my financial goals and together with an in depth understanding of the local real estate market was able to assist me in reaching those goals. What stood out to me most about working with Darren was that I did not feel like “another client”. His approach to customer service was unique and I felt supported throughout the process. His friendly personality, unique professional background and outstanding team of professionals made for a wonderful customer experience. I would highly recommend Darren Langille and his team.

Prior to moving to Calgary I had contacted a few properties from the states trying to secure a rental. One ended up being a scam. Luckily we didn't get caught up in it, but it made us shy and cautious moving forward. When I came across a rental listed by Redline, I was contacted by Chelsea about the property. Chelsea was prompt, courteous, and extremely understanding of our situation. She more then bent over backwards to accommodate us, and our unique needs. I can't say enough great things about the experience we have had with Chelsea and Redline. If you are looking to rent in Calgary, make sure to contact then. They mad the process so easy.

Mitch Kristie

Redline is a real estate company that exudes energy through its energetic staff. Everyone is friendly and approachable. Love their cutting edge approach of advertising. Keep up the good work!!

My wife and I met Darren through a friend… Before I continue I have to say I never write reviews so this is a first for me. Darren and his team are very professional! The best thing about working with Darren is that he is very calm and collected at all times. Never pushy. We listed our home in Calgary right when the market was uncertain. Oil prices were low and the market was flooded with homes. Although there were a lot of listings at the time and everyone was telling us that prices were dropping, Darren believed we had a good solid home and suggested we list accordingly. Redline real estate group took fantastic photos of our home and did a great deal of marketing. We had nearly 70 showings in two months and sold our place for our listed price! We couldn’t be more pleased with Darren and his team of professionals.

Travis Galenzoski

Been managing my property since 2009. Nothing but good things to say about my experience.

Redline manages a property for me, my unit had a flood, this is when I saw the exceptional customer service of Redline. They stepped up and went above and beyond, they communicated very well. Sarah in the service department was exceptional, professional, efficient and very understanding. She took the lead and interfaced with the insurance company, adjusters, project manager and contractors. I can't praise them enough.. I highly recommend them.

Brooklynn Wallace

My experience with redline and its agents over the past year has been very positive. Communication and general dealings are very timely and professional. Recently our agent, Nora, has gone above and beyond to work with us, learning our circumstances and understanding them as well as communicating the company's policies and options effectively. I have renewed another year's lease and would definitely recommend long-term renters with good communication skills to rent from Redline. Thank you Nora! Thank you Redline.

I have had the pleasure of watching this company from the day it started and the progression Redline has made through out the years. Darren and Brett founded this company over 10 years ago. They started with a dream. Two people, one a broker the other a realtor have worked hard and like all new businesses there were challenges, neither one of these individuals came from a history of knowledge in real estate however they were willing to work hard and learn. I watched them closely as the years progressed and like all new entrepreneurs they didn't always get it right. What I admire about them is that they continued to work hard, their "never give up" attitude and their heartfealt desire to provide a very personal touch to their clients would set them apart and as I read through the reviews they have proof of concept. The greatest majority of those are very positive experiences and people have been recommending Redline to family and friends. Has it all been roses, no. However I have noticed a trend, most of those who were not happy seemed to be 2 -4 years ago. When I read the recent reviews it shows me that Darren, Brett and the Redline team have taken those comments to heart and have made some changes that have resulted in a much better experience. That tells me that the folks at Redline care and strive to be the best at what they do. I have watched this company change and progress to be on the cutting edge and am extremely proud of what they have accomplished in such a relatively short time. Their dream to be the best Real Estate experience is now a REALITY. Congratulations Redline you have made a difference and I look forward to see you continue to be the LEADER in this industry.

Brittany LaDuke

My entire experience with Red Line was absolutely horrible. I reported a flood from a suite above me and no one from redline even came. Someone from the condo board showed up 3 weeks later and said how can we tel anything happened. then it flooded again and the repair man found black mold in the suite. It took them over a month to fix it so i had no use of the bedroom and they were not willing to compensate my rent. me and my 5 year old daughter were stuck in those conditions. And on top of all of that they completely screwed me out of my entire damage deposit. I am still going through the process of suing them. I wouldn't even give them 1 star if I didn't have to, to be able to post this.

Mike Grant

After considering multiple real estate companies to work with I finally decided on Redline. I highly recommend working with Angelina & Kelly if you are in the market, specially if you are new home buyer. They walked me through the entire process and put my mind at ease in every stage of the process. Angelina & Kelly were always available via email, text or a phone call. As I work out of town a lot this was very important to me. They both were very responsive to any concerns or questions I had. Redline truly has your priorities at heart, start to finish. I will be using them again in the future!! Thank you Angelina & Kelly!!

Fanny Smith

Crystal is the worst realtor - she nearly tricked my friend into over paying for a really bad house - stay away from this one.

Jenna Worsick

We have rented many places in Calgary and as a young couple trying to rent in the city it's not easy, but Joanna made it nice and easy. She was very helpful in the showing and securing of the property as well as being thorough in the walk through making us as tenets feel safe and secure . Will defenetly recommend them to anyone looking for a company to rent through, the service was great!! Defenetly looking forward to renting through redline!!

Kevin Morris

I have purchased three homes through Redline and have received exemplary service each time. Highly recommend!!!

Victor Hart

The agent I worked with was very professional and not pushy. He came up as honest, disclosing fully all cost and his benefits. Took time to understand our situation and suggested solutions for problems we were facing.

Jaime G

horrible, sold out property mid way through our lease. Didn't deposit our rent cheques for months at a time, were hard to reach and never returned phone calls.

Adam O'Keefe

Really enjoyed working with Redline!

james trimble

The professionalism of Darren far exceeded our expectations. He knew exactly how to price our house, it sold very quickly and with zero conditions. Without Darren’s superb negotiating skills and attention to detail locating and purchasing our new home would not have gone as seemless as it did. We will continue to use Darren and Redline in the future for all our real estate needs.

J Amal

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Right from the lady who rented the house to the office personnel. I have never dealt with more unprofessional individuals in my life. Every email reply was a burst of unprofessionalism. It's actually embarrassing. We were so happy to get out of our lease so I never have to deal with this company. Don't rent with them. You will not be happy. And you will defiantly not get your damage deposit back.

Buying and selling a house is a stressful process regardless of whether you’re a first time buyer or a seasoned veteran. I happened to be the former due to that fact that we built our first home. When it came time to really start getting serious about buying, I knew that whoever I was going to work with needed to be able to be 1) someone I could trust 2) someone who comes recommended 3) someone who would work WITH us to achieve our goal. Darren was recommended to me by a friend and he and my family clicked from the start. He was very accommodating by coming over to my house…well after hours, just to fit our hectic schedule. He was knowledgable about the area and had a plan in place not only for the purchase but also for selling our house. His advice during this negotiating phase was invaluable and after we talked, he always made me feel better about whatever decision I was about to make. Darren is not just a realtor who puts up a sign and hopes for the best. He dedicates time to bringing in interior decorators, professional photographers, and slick marketing brochures. In the end it all worked because our house sold for 5K over the asking price in less than a week. Highly recommend Darren and Sheila at RedLine Realty. Cheers,

Le Mat

From the owner side, working with Redline has gotten progressively worse. Over the last year we are not getting information unless we ask, repeatedly; and then it’s insufficient that doesn’t answer the question. Unless we ask, we don’t get inspections or inspection reports. We aren’t notified of key tenant issues. We take Redline’s advice and then get blamed for the consequences. When trying to contact them their main phone line gives 3 basic answers: leave a message, send an email, or that they can’t come to the phone because they’re out for lunch or in a meeting. This is useless if I’ve already left voicemails and sent emails. There is no apparent avenue to “talk to the manager” or someone who has time to care about the customers or the reputation of the company. I get the impression I am inconveniencing them by requesting things they should have done already. This is very unprofessional and amateur behaviour at best. I thought I was paying to get a company to look after my best interests regarding the property but they are either understaffed or just don't care. Unless they get their act together quickly (not sure how possible that is) I strongly suggest finding a more competent and professional leasing agency in Calgary. I'd be overjoyed if they did quickly implement some improvements.

The Redline Real Estate group has been wonderful to work with. I can't speak highly enough in my dealings with both Joanna and Rolanda. Both were incredibly accommodating and extremely friendly. I highly recommend anyone moving to Calgary to work with this team. Thank you both for everything!!!

I am now in Scotland and wanted to rent my condo in Calgary. Spent 2.5 months with another management company with no result and minimum communication. Spent a week with Redline and condo is rented. Excellent communication. Would recommend them to anyone wanting to rent their property and they will be my first choice as realtors when I decide to sell.

Very professional service, I'm happily renting a house in Hamptons managed by redline, high quality delivered by manager Joanna Hamilton,.. any concerns were resolved right away, It's nice how the first month of rent was 50% off, it's something you can never find these days, I recommend.

We had an amazing experience with Redline and with Darren. Our house sold in 4 days and it was nothing but professionalism and smooth sailing! Darren and his team took the stress out of buying and selling. We would recommend him and his company to any of our friends and family.

Attempted to sell our townhouse with Redline after a change of our economic situation we were no longer able to sell the property they are now no longer willing to take their lockbox off of our front door. Have been calling them regularly for over a month and every time its been "we will be over soon". The lockbox is still there and I'm considering just cutting it off myself.

John Wilson

We had Joanna as a rental agent, extremely professional, courteous and quick to respond. Really great experience. Would recommend.

One of the worst companies out there. We rented from them for a year, and they were brutal. They are basically a slimy rental company. They tried to screw us out of a huge chuck of our damage deposit. Were impossible to deal with, or get to responses from. Had to go there in person, and even when I did their supervisor (Jennifer Meng) refuse to talk to me about the issues, and barely looked up from her desk when I was speaking with her. I had to leave the cheque there, and follow up with an email to get a response. In the end they gave off what we were asking back but it took a month after our move out date. On top of that our stairs on the deck collapse at the start of June, and we had contact them numerous times about and they never fixed them (really safe to move out of house with stairs that were a hazard to walk on). I feel bad for companies like these, and the people that work at them. I would be miserable, but if they did good at the their job and communicated with the people they work with, it might be a better experience. Will never rent or hire them to rent my place out. Have fun with the ridiculous cleaning charges they give you too. Thanks for nothing redline.

Grant and Jessica Schimpf

Worst rental company out there!, WORST! DON'T RENT FROM THEM!!! Paid our rent, they THEN decided to take more money out of my account and now I have nsf fees... will my do anthing Money grabbers... all they do is pass the phone call to another and can't handle the problem Have had nothing but problems with the house and they just pass it along again Not a responsible company Worst management team Still have not gotten it back, Even after the message you have put below! And how unprofessional of you to put such a fake response

I've rented a lot of properties in my life and I've never had a better experience!! Both the communication and professionalism were top notch. All appointments were made with my schedule being treated as top priority. The walk through was thorough and any concerns I had were dealt with immediately. A special shout out to Dawn who really made this experience enjoyable. Thank You Redline!

My wife and I have used Redline Real Estate to find a tenant and ongoing property management for an apartment we will be renting. We have had nothing but a great experience with the company and their property ownership representative, Amber. Contact and updates are frequent, all items and concerns are attended to promptly, and their knowledge of tenants, current market conditions, and strategies for attracting and keeping high-quality tenants is exemplary. I would not hesitate to recommend Redline and Amber to anyone else seeking a property management company.

I've been dealing with the Redline Group for a few years now and never had any issues. The whole staff is super friendly and great to deal with. They always get back to me in a timely fashion and they always address any concerns i have. All around great group of people to deal with.

I made the choice of hiring Redline as my property manager for a year while I was out of country. I needed to know my house would be well looked-after. I even met with the co-founder to discuss everything. They managed to get a decent rental price in exchange for 10% management fees. Pretty standard stuff among all property managers. It was a mess since the beginning. I was getting charged energy fees by pre-authorized debit three months after I left. I asked Redline about it since I gave them power of responsibility. After bouncing me around between staff, one member replied, "I don't know. You should just cut the power to the house." It was so very frustrating to deal with this abroad since I had to personally contact Enmax to resolve this. 6 months down the road and it was time for the half-year inspection. I had inquired about it since I wanted to know how things were going. I received a reply from their new 'communication manager' indicating they were looking into it. What does that mean? Either it was done or it wasn't. After a few more weeks had passed along with growing concern over what could have happened to my house, she finally replied by email stating it was done but was having computer issues and didn't bother to let me know. The only deficiency was a leaky kitchen that they will fix. What a relief it was to finally know my house was still there and not part of some drug operation. Unfortunately, the faucet was not fixed and now I have rotting wood under my sink. It was safe to assume the inspection was not done until I had asked about it. When my year was u, I had he unfortunate task of trying to contact the communication manager to set up a walk through. Surprise surprise...I didn't receive a reply from her for weeks. So fed up with her, I had to call the co-founder to ask him. Later that afternoon, I received an email from her. No apology on not replying. Does a person really have to be told to do their job especially in such a customer service industry? In no way was I expecting my house to be exactly the way I left it. There is normal wear and tear. We all do it. We move things around, ding up the walls, etc. I brought to her attention of several deficiencies. In addition to the rotting wood as mentioned earlier, I was also greeted with many loose nails in the back lane by the garage door, compressed and burnt grass from a BBQ pit, a shattered doorbell, broken blinds, stolen items, and melted carpet. I asked how they were doing to address these items only to be told they were not valid to be tenant caused. I suppose the damaged duct work in several places of the house were not tenant caused as well. It must have been because she did nothing to correct that or any of the other issues. It felt as though 10% management fees was given to do little to nothing. I could have and should have hired anybody else to do a better job. Please please please dear person looking for a property manager. I do not want you to go through the nightmare I went through. People need to know that they can trust somebody else with their property. There are countless stories of bad tenants, but we should be re-assured everything is alright with the proper team of individuals. Please do not leave such a valuable asset with Redline as they are not professional enough to handle the responsibility.

We sold our home this summer using Redline Realty. Darren had people on hand to guide us in getting our house ready for the market and so it would show a 10/10. I believe it was the help of his staff that got us an offer within 10 days of being on the market in a tough real estate market. Darren was very responsive to all of my (million) questions and gave us a lot of guidance through the negotiation process. I would highly recommend giving Darren a call.

Thank you Redline Real Estate. This company has been very helpful, whenever we need a service call for any maintenance work we hear back immediately or within 24 hours if it's a non emergency. Excellent customer service and very understanding. Nothing but good things to say about this company. Also a thanks to Nora for being helpful and accessible with questions that we have.

WHAT A JOKE this business is. Taken money from me several times that wasnt theres. Withdrew wrong amount for rent then charge $45 insuf funds when it was their fault. Were supposed to do an anual inspection, noeone showed. Now our lease is up middle of this month and they took a full months rent. They dont even have my lease ends date on record. Still fighting to get my money back. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!

Prompt admin service, Bright building with a friendly atmosphere. Love that it's dog friendly. Going to continue renting from red line in the future.

Gooey Gingersnaps

This is by far the worst place to be get into. I have lived in one of their apartments not only were they in a hurry to jack up prices they are way too slow when it comes to fixing maintenance issues. We went through a whole year without a resident manager which is by the way illegal and the tenants they have love smoking pot in their respective suites. The garbage bin was always full and the building itself is poorly maintained. I had my clothes stolen at the laundry room and somebody always take my spot in the "paid" parking lot that they provide. If you want to live in run-down shacks they call suites at ridiculous prices then this is the place to be.

Harbinger Childe

Never had a problem very professional, communication was great, hopefully everyone gets that kind of service!

Jake Plant

Absolutely horrible service. While renting one of their properties, they were useless at fixing the poorly renovated, overpriced property. Our electricity bills were ridiculously high because they refuse to fix the leaky windows and doors. After terminating our tenancy, the nightmare only got worse. They took a month to send the initial security deposit statement which was falsely dated in their favor. To our surprise they accused us a bunch of damage that we didn't do and tried to take our whole deposit. After almost 2 months of emails and following legal advice to try and get what we were owed, they finally said they had our final statement. Over the 2 month period, they took weeks to respond, if they even responded at all. They never returned phone calls and their emails were stall tactics. Our final statement was absurdly low. They accused us of breaking into the house after the new tenants moved in which they refused to prove in any way other than "their word." That was a 800$ deduction when we weren't even in the province. There were a lot of other charges that weren't justified. It got to the point where I neither had the time not energy to fight anymore. DO NOT RENT FROM REDLINE. They are extremely unprofessional.

After searching for months and finally finding a place that suited my family, including an elderly mother that cannot get up stairs, I thought I had found a place. I filled out the application and agreed to pay extra for my two small dogs. The application was approved and I said I would give the damage deposit . This had gone on over a period of 2 weeks. I wanted to fly out over the weekend, but was told the manager was away for the weekend. Then I sent out an email saying I would fly out the day she got back. I wanted to make sure the house looked as good as the photo. I had no idea it was being rented at that moment. The owner was aware of me taking the time out and the expense to fly and sign the lease. When I got there I set up a time to come by the next day. Then the next day I was told the owner changed their mind and they could not do anything about. I sent an email telling them, actually you can, you can reimburse me for my expense. Then I was called by the woman saying they could have helped me find another place, but because of my attitude they won’t be doing that. However, this was not stated in their emails. The emails said, sorry we can’t do anything for you, but good luck on your search!

I have always had rental properties that I have looked after myself, but when it came time to rent out my house, I decided I needed some distance, this is when I started to look for a management company. I called another company first, as they had sent out a mailer, but they didn't ever get back to me, then I called Redline Real Estate. They set up an appointment right away, came out and walked through my house, gave me a run down of how things work and away we went. Since then, I have recommended them to many of my clients, as well as I'm transferring all of my other rentals over to them, when they come up for renewal. As someone who travels a lot, hiring Redline has freed up my life, for the small percentage they charge, I'm wondering why I didn't do this sooner. Thank you Amber, Chelsea & Sarah, the 3 ladies that have made my life easier. Regards Melanie

Amazing Experience working with Redline! Great team effort - they go beyond my expectations. Love the concierge service!

Working for several years with the staff of the rental division I have learned that these people CARE and do their very best to address any concerns that pop up for the tenant....I would not hesitate to rent from these guys as I am sure that I would be looked after in a professional manner

Do not waste your time with this company. Incredibly unprofessional. As a tenant, you have to call their call centre and then someone is supposed to call you back. Three instances in a row and no one ever called me back (repairs, info on damage deposit, etc). They didn't even know we were moving out at the end of our lease until I called repeatedly.

Redline Real Estate have been nothing but wonderful throughout my rental process. Joanna especially has made my experience smooth and is always in contact for any detail- big or small. Would highly recommend using Redline Real Estate!

We had such an amazing experience with redline real estate! Our realtor was Caroline and she went above and beyond to help us along the way to buying our first home. I was lucky enough to meet a few of the people on the redline team and the positive atmosphere that is around them is amazing! I would highly recommend using them for buying a home!

Celeste Wood with Red Line was absolutely amazing to work with. We stumbled upon a listing we wanted to see and instantly thought of asking Celeste to show it to us. Within a week we saw the place, put in an offer and was in the process of listing our house. From the beginning to negotiations to closing it was a seamless process. She has your best intentions in mind and always sticks up for her clients to make sure they are getting the BEST deal possible. Its been the most stressful summer we’ve had, but every step of the way shes been there, guided us and talked us off the edge. Without her, we would not be living in our dream home and have sold our previous home. Many thanks, wish you all the best!!

Wonderful company with excellent customer service - for all of us "accidental landlords" in this economic time! Call them and ask for Amber!

I highly recommend Redline Real Estate Group for people looking to rent out their property. Our leasing agent Joanna was a real professional! We were initially trying to sell our townhouse, but with the slow market, we were not successful in getting any offer from buyers for the more than 2 months of it being listed. We were really worried as we have already purchased a new home and would have ended up paying 2 mortgages. We got in touch with Redline and Joanna found us a wonderful family to rent our place in a matter of 2 weeks! Thanks again Joanna and Redline!

Angela Grams

Redline Real Estate is a phenomenal real estate brokerage. The level of customer service and professionalism is very impressive from start to finish! The selling process was seamless and enjoyable!! I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking to buy or sell.

I have worked with Redline through 2 personal moves (involving sale, purchase, and renovation) and have also purchased some revenue property, which they manage, through them. Based on these experiences I recommend them without hesitation. They are very knowledgeable and have never given me poor advice but, most importantly, they operate with honesty, integrity and reliability. Yes, there are occasional glitches and problems, but they are open to hearing concerns and deal with these concerns openly and professionally.

Arash Zakeri

Redline has been managing my property since 2010. Redline has grown overtime and now provide a wide range of services. Thus far, I have used their mortgage and rental services and am very happy. I have always found them to be very professional, courteous, thorough and reliable in their business. They have done their utmost efforts to resolve the odd issues with tenants, etc. in the most efficient and professional way. They are only a phone call away if one needs them. The tenant replacement has always been very quick and of top quality. Reliable, competitive and service oriented company describes them well.

PART two of my HORROR story with REDLINE.. I then moved into a basement suite on April 19th. I have two dogs, so when I viewed the suite, I told them that I absolutely needed the fence fixed before I moved in so my dogs didn't get out. - This fence was HORRIFIC! (I had to try to repair it with ropes & stones just so my dogs couldn't get out) The tenant that lived upstairs for years said they had asked redline to fix it so many times over their time there, they finally gave up because Redline again wouldn't DO ANYTHING! - When I came home after work on the 20th I had a notice on my door stating that someone was coming to do an 'inspection'. So I text my sister-in-law to ask what it was for. When she called me back, she told me that an inspector was coming because it had been reported to them as an illegal basement suite. (which redline says they weren't aware of!). -- I of course started panicking & asked how the inspection went the following day (while I was away at work) & I was told that they had to postpone the inspection because they were now going to inspect the ENTIRE property. I asked if I should maybe stop unpacking (only lived there 2.5 days at this point) & I was told "yes" <--- I quote!! Days later, again I ask what is going on..no answers. So I asked if I would need to move out & I was told "yes" <---- QUOTE!!!!!! but that they would find me a new place. Again, days later, I hear that they have no rentals for me in my area (I work in the far south) or at my price range. The crappy deal they were willing to offer me is my previous upper suite (the last hell hole)..but only at my current rent price for 3 months. Then it would go up & I would no longer be able to afford it (no boyfriend helping this time, just me alone) so I would need to move AGAIN in 3 months! .. Basically, I told them where to go at that point. -- I am thankfully not as USELESS as Redline, so I was able to secure my own place to move into (ironically in my area, at my price range, nooo problem at all!) for June 1st. But since Redline decided to rent out an illegal basement suite to me, which I only got to live in for 2 weeks, I thought it was only fair that Redline at least pay for moving expenses right? (June 1st was on a Friday so I had to work, AND I'm sure if I stayed one day past the end of the month, redline would probably try to charge me for June because they're crooked & messed up! so I didn't want to stay til the 2nd) Not to mention..I had just used up all of my favors from my friends for the LAST MOVE ONLY TWO WEEKS AGO!!! so I needed to hire a moving company. Now I wasn't trying to go after redline for AAANYTHING but the Movers' fee. That's it, that's all. Well they were again USELESS to deal with!! I had to literally harass them non-stop to even get them to call me back! -- I was even told once that the owner understood the difficulty I was dealing with & would call me back. HAHAHA no! The owner will NEVER call you back. That's just imaginary crap. -- & to be honest, I would've went after the actual house owner for the moving money, but Redline couldn't give me his information. So fine, redline can pay & then THEY can go after the owner for their money back right? NOPE! Then I had to wait & wait for them to find out if the owner was willing to pay for it. After threatening to take them to court, I was finally told that they would reimburse me up to a max of $400 if I provided them with the moving invoice. Which I did IMMEDIATELY that day. ..I didn't even get a simple REPLY! Now, almost a month later (I've been super patient all month & didn't bug them what so ever) I finally had to contact them again! -- Gee I wonder when I'll finally get my money back? RED LINE REAL ESTATE IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY! I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN, NOR WILL I EVER, EVER RECOMMEND THEM! Check out the other google reviews! Got a couple nice ones (of course one from an employee! obviously it would be nice!) but over all, YOU SCREW OVER YOUR TENANTS NON STOP! If I were even a PART of the redline staff team, I would be so embarrassed!!

Kaytlin Austin

Do not recommend this company to anyone. We had horrendous neighbors below us while renting a main floor suite. They smoked in the house as well as having music blasting all hours of the day and night. They didn't compensate us hardly at all for this terrible time and instead, they missed a payment and charged us extra. DO NOT SIGN A LEASE WITH THIS COMPANY
