We moved in feb of 2020 as told no one lived in the unit. In august we went to calgary for 3 days got back our fridge completely died all our food went bad then our stove door fell off and we had only used the stove a couple of times. we told them right away took them 2 days to get a new fridge when they dropped it off it was scratched and hole in the front where the logo was and nothing about stove was said. It was like pulling teeth to get our stove fixed. Multiple emails and phone calls made with no response. Somone saying that they would come and then no one come to look at it then no response for months at least an update would be nice And having to spend extra money on food was killing me when I was the only one bringing in money for my family. I asked if by thanksgiving it would be fixed I was told yes then when time came no one got back to me and I called on the Friday before and was told everyone was out of office. I tried to get responses back after that and it was fauls hope.i asked before Halloween still nothing took 6 months to get it fixed, when I asked if they could give use one from there other units that was vacant. When time came to give us a new one my husband had to help move in and they where not whereing masks and the stove was a low grade one that would not even work properly. Then i was sent an email that I will have to pay for damages of the stove when all that happened was the hing broke in the door I was in shock when the email was sent. They should pay us for incovences and lost money due to eating out. I have all emails and texts saved.. Then we moved out on the 26th of march days before we needed to and signed the move out papers and everything was cleaned and Avril said everything was good and wrote that on the papers that everything good I have a copy of that. Then the next month I got letter in mail saying I owe money 600 for carpet cleaning and light clean what a joke when I signed the papers and they had multiple opporties to let us know more cleaning was needed but that besides the point when I signed the move out papers and on it says everything is clean. If they wanna charge me money I can charge them for being without a stove and spending extra money. Never ever live with this company they will steal your money and never help you out give you more stress. This is the worst company to live with and charge 1400 for a less then 600 sqfoot place and you move out and they lower rent. Never live with this company please listen to me the worst exsperance ever.

My girlfriend and I started looking a month ago for a property to rent here in the Edmonton area. We started with a few companies (which were horrendous) and ended up dealing with Richard here at McLeod Realty. He met us with short notice on a Sunday, had an application for us to fill out the same evening and had the keys to us four days later. Fantastic to deal with, I would absolutely recommend him to my family or friends. As far as the downtown agencies go, Richard surpassed the experience we recieved from multiple high end property representatives. 10/10 experience.

Stay Away! They will discriminate against you if you have children. Even if they are well behaved you will be told that you are "not welcome" because of them. Mcleod Realty doesn't care about families at all, and has made it very clear that if you are interested in renting one of their apartments or even a newer apartment for that matter such as Essence you aren't good enough to do so because you have kids. Glad I was turned away! I would rather rent from a company that values families than a company that treats new customers that have children horrible like this! Spoke to Karen and was told this!!! Stay far away from this company!

They have been very professional and transparent to work with. They have a very thorough system of making sure your property is taken care of. Just happy to finally work with people who would actually deliver what they said they would do.

I have lived in McLeod managed properties for a few years and, without exception, the experience has been great. The building is quiet and well maintained and any issues - rare - are quickly resolved by the property managers who live onsite.

Horrible experience. Basically completely lost contact after signing a lease, phones seemed to be turned off 24/7. Carpet was not cleaned upon moving in, yet tries to take security deposit despite us cleaning the carpet when leaving. Lived 2 weeks in the cold in January when heating was broken. Could not even contact the landlord to have plumbing fixed. Big black stain was left on carpet from plumbing, no effort made to clean. Would not recommend using Robert F McLeod Realty Ltd unless you enjoy losing your money or dying during your lease.

These guys steal your damage deposit so be sure to take pictures and videos of your place before walk through. Took almost all of are damage deposit even tho the house was left clean with no damage, Charged 350 for cleaning which is outrageous charged us for damage that was on the initial walk through in the beginnning and when we asked to meet them for the walk through they didn't even respond. Gave us the final report on how much money we were getting back and did not agree on it so we told them we wanted to discuss it and again didn't respond and just sent it anyway. The comments above giving them 5 stars are obviously the staff cause nobody would ever give these crooks 5 stars. Save yourself some stress and go somewhere else for your realty needs.

I wanted to share an experience with everyone so it doesn’t happen to you. My fiancé and I are currently selling our house. So we are looking for rental property until our new house is built. We found the perfect rental listed at $1785/month managed by McLeod Realty & Management. It was a little bit of a struggle to try and get a viewing but we managed to get one and I guess the property manager had scheduled all viewings for one day. My family of 4 went to view the rental and loved it. We ask the manager to send us the application and we complete it that same night. We got approved on the following Monday with an email with instructions on the next steps. They required a bank draft for the security deposit. However, they didn’t state the amount or the who to make it out to. So I called to get the information and the office coordinator stated that the deposit is same as rent $1925. I was a bit confused as the ad said $1785 all week. She told me to talk to the manager that showed us the rental. I spoke with the manager and she said she made a mistake and this is the rental amount. I quickly went back to the ad and it looks like she changed to rate the same day we went to view the rental and claims she forgot to mention the change when we were there, when we applied for the rental and when we got approved. Extremely sketchy. We have been back and forth with them today and asked them if they can provide some kind of compromise for the mistake they made. After the manager spoke with owner Robert McLeod they decided that all they were going to offer was an apology and tell us to either take it at the amount they changed to or get lost. As a property manager I am extremely disappointed in their professionalism.

Worst experience! Make sure to write down every little detail on move in and make sure you are there for the move out. Robert didn't schedule a walk out with us, went ahead and did it without us present. Took almost all our damage deposit and on things that were there on move in. Make sure to take pictures ! Told them we didn't agree with the outcome and they wouldn't even reply to my emails or phone calls. Terrible company . Bad customer service. crooks =(
