As you know, we don't usually stop to place opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

Lots of good deals
Amazing place! Great staff! Great deals! This was our first auction experience and Sean and his staff made it so enjoyable that we are hooked! Thank you Sean for going above and beyond despite your very busy sched. Trevor and I will definitely come back!!! Would recommend everyone to check this place out! ????????????
5 GOLD stars for the staff in the back! The girls at the consignor desk are always super helpful and as hard as they work, they manage to stay productive and super friendly. High five for Ernest and the guys at the back as well. They are quick and full of informative tips and consigning advice ♡ If you were thinking of consigning items to auction kastner makes it easy!
biggest variety in the industry. I love jumping back and fourth when they have two auctions at the same time! what a rush!!!
Lots of the good stuff here
Diversified products for their auctions, it's perfect for everbody.
Great auction and pick up experience
2021 07 15 This is an update to my review below: I have now had a couple of interactions with Dan M. He was very apologetic and has gone out of his way to make things right. He did what every manager/business owner should do - he investigated what went wrong and why. He then reached out, apologized, and made sure I knew that my concerns were heard and that I was, in fact, a valued customer. I truly hope he is able to work with his staff and train them in some of the key customer service areas they seem to be lacking. Sometimes a bad review can become a good review, as is the case here. It really boils down to how the manager/owner responds to that bad review. I believe Dan M did a great job responding to my review. Thanks Dan M. 2021 07 13 You have to be careful of the prices - people tend to over-bid items. Know the new price before the auction starts. On top of that, be prepared to be frustrated when picking up you items. Their logistics for customer pick-ups is terrible. The previous time I bought from Kastner's, my emailed invoice told me to go to one location in Edmonton. When I arrived, they told me I needed to be at a different location. I showed them the email confirmation I received for pick up showing the address I was at. They didn't care. An apology would have been nice. This morning I had another pick up. I had followed all of the instructions for making an appointment for pick up. There was a link in the email with my invoice that connected to a Calendly calendar. I booked for 9:00AM this morning. I arrived precisely at 9:00AM and was rudely and unapologetically told that the "other side" that I needed didn't open until 9:30AM and I would just need to wait. I asked if there wasn't someone there that could just help me get my 4 items from the other side. I was told no. I asked why I was able to book an appointment for 9:00AM if that side didn't open until 9:30AM. They stated, "I dunno..." Again, no apology for wasting my time. Finally, a helpful gentleman came and brought me to the "other side" to get my stuff. It was locked so we went to the front office. The lady there said that side didn't actually open until 10:00AM not 9:30AM. I asked her why I was able to book an appointment for 9:00AM when it didn't open until 10:00AM. She told me I booked on the wrong calendar. I said that I booked using the only link in the invoice email and perhaps they have a system/logistics error on the invoices. She just brushed me aside and didn't care. Eventually, she opened up the "other side" and the 2 of them hunted for my stuff to no avail. Finally, the guy that runs the "other side" showed up. He found my stuff, dropping one boxed item - which I found out when we opened the box had buckled/dented the stainless steel prep table. Then he sent me on my way. Not once was I apologized to for the inconvenience; not ever did I feel valued as a customer....
The online auction system is a joke, the item I was bidding on was outbid seconds after the auction closed and I was not permitted to respond to this. I have since deactivated my account.
I had an issue with something I purchased. They handled it to my satisfaction. Everyone there was helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone to check them out!
Lady’s giving me attitude to consign items, all good I will take my items to another auction
I've participated and won a few items with this outfit. On the last 2 auctions, on the last 3 items I've won. I placed a max bid for the items. On each of the items won, the price was exactly my max bid. Coincidence? Maybe. A week ago, I contacted Kastner Auctions asking if I could see the bid history on the items I won. They got back to me saying the bidding history on the items I've won is confidential, they also asked which item was in question. I stated, my concern and suspicion of shill bidding taking place as I'm sure they can see my max bid. And if they are driving up the price on the bids to be able to get maximum auctioneers fees, it's pretty suspect. After I sent an email with my concerns, I was ghosted. I haven't heard back from Kastner support. I got an invoice for the items, my credit card was charged, I have not received a receipt from Kastner Auctions for the last items "won" a week ago. I suspect shill bidding is taking place. I don't foresee myself ever doing business with this place again. I may as well cancel the credit card because, I deleted the card then they charged it again with my information deleted from the system so they used my card numbers after I removed them from the account. If I had advice to someone bidding on these auctions I would say to only bid live and don't place max bids as they are probably able to see your max price and put in shill bids to meet your max price to get maximum auction fees on the items you've but a max bid on. If this practise is hidden in the Terms and Conditions, it is not in the best interest of the customer.
Able to get some amazing deals at the most recent auction including many large pieces of furniture. The staff there were very quick to help me find my items won and also very helpful in bringing them out and helping my husband and I load them onto our truck. I was very impressed as they other auction houses I have been to haven't been so helpful. Will definitely continue attend8ng auctions here.
Great place to buy quality goods. They have a friendly and helpful staff when viewing and picking up your items.
The best ALWAYS!
Here is an unpleasant story of my friend who experienced in this auction. He bought a laptop on Sunday Nov 17 bidding online for $200.00 + premium and taxes. Here is the thing for most computers the auctioneer puts the lot numbers around 200 and up and this is the pic time of the auction for the electronics! However my friend was not happy with the laptop he bought it and it was down with the windows and he returned it back they fixed it to upload the windows and my friend just asked them to resales it for him in their upcoming auction, here is the point and concerns they put this time the lot number for the same laptop around 700 and up! while the pic time of the electronics bidding all gone !!! And this poor laptop sold for $ 60.00 ! This is not fair to the person who bought it for $200 with lot # around 200 and the auctioneer sold the returned item with putting the lot # 700 and up the laptop sold for $60.00. This was a two way lost for my poor buddy!!! He learned his lesson by losing almost $180.00 !!! Getting nothing !!!!
Friendly and helpful staff. Awesome selection and amazing deals. Take my money!
Interesting products put up for auction and very helpful workers.
The auction was great and good experience however the customer service experience was not too great. It's like they are forcing the guys here to work here. Also, I will advice anyone that wants to auction to make sure the view the quality of the goods in store first before putting in your offer.
Won 2 pallets of albums not even close to what they said it was 80% of them will go in the garbage I will never bid again be careful people lots of junk
Good deals to be made here
Found lots of good deals on coins and vehicles.
Little slow. Service fees a bit much. Good other than that
Good auction experience
I like the sunday auctions. Some good deals to be had.
Great auctioneer
kastner auction has very friendly staff, there items are top quality, and there prices are always very reasonable thank you kastner auctions.
Wow! Great auction. I joined for the Curiosity Inc "Musician's House", while I didn't win on the items I liked, I had a great time. It was well organized and the app, the live auction, and the listings were great!! Thank you for all your effort on this auction!
Great deals
Some good deals
Amazing auction house! Liz set me up with everything I needed. Super friendly staff and great products. Love the online bidding.
Sometimes lots of good stuff for sale. Unfortunately it makes for a long day as the auctioneer is trying to squeeze the last nickle out of every sale. Staff are quite helpful.
I bid and I bring. It's the circle of auction life, Ernest and Steve are amazing!
Awesome place for sell or buy anything
I won my auction and noticed my credit card had already been charged so I called to make an appointment to pick them up. When I attended (45 min drive) the employee said they couldn’t find my name on the appointment list then worse so they couldn’t find my item. Two employees were helpful and looked hard but couldn’t find my items. They believe they had been given away to someone else by accident. Charging a card then not delivering goods is fraud. I asked for refund but as of yet haven’t received any correspondence or refund. Be careful with your money!
Best Auction in Edmonton
Never bought something online except at max bid Huh. No bidding history, some items don't sell so I guess they have a undisclosed reserve, no transparency on what items sold for unless you bid. Bid very carefully and reserved. Ritchie Bros is very transparent in comparison and way less commission
Great variety of items. Holds auctions every week. Don't have to be there to bid with online bidding.
Great deals and amazing staff! I have purchased a lot from this auction as has my family and friends! I will continue to go back. So many hidden gems!! A place to check out before heading to the stores for sure!
Love this auction
Ernest did a great job handling my mothers estate. It was A very simply process. Bravo Kastner Auctions
used them to settle our divorce. service was good
The folks here are always super busy, but still manage to be kind and have smiles on their faces. Don't take them coffee as most of them drink tea. Great deals to be found here! Family owned and operated, support them! They even help load heavy items!
Interesting items once browse then must to visit and check out I am also planning the same. I hope you too.
Sean Kastner and his team makes sure that every week is better. I love their auctions! Always finding something great... would recommend to anyone.
Truly enjoy my time buying and selling with these folks for a couple years now. There’s many to choose from and I make my 5 hour round trip a few times a month happily. As a place that sells thousands of items weekly, there’s bound to be mistakes we are all human, but there’s always the offer to make it right & the staff are all so friendly and helpful even when mistakes happen! I enjoy popping online weekly to see the goodies & when I’ve had to have my purchases shipped - it’s very prompt ! Thanks for being awesome
Attracts very few buyers and consistently sees very discrepant and inappropriate pricing.
I must say reading reviews is the highlight of my day!! I have watched and listened, have had the pleasure of winning auction items, and lost some. I have yet to be disappointed with the service, quality or even the selection of items available. For those who never have had the experience of attending an auction of any type, it is an experience which you will hold on too. Growing up attending auctions whether it was for a vehicle, a estate sale or the local grocer's went bankrupt you had no idea of what was happening let alone what shape the products were in. Occasionally with a car auction, the possibility of seeing the vehicle beforehand yet with other things you may see a list of items when you arrived after you get your bid number. if you think you are in for brand new top quality products every time, then I would enjoy to wear your rose-colored glasses for a day. Be smart, Be proactive, take responsibility for your own actions and behaviors.
I have been a customer for many years and I must say that I am extremely disappointed. Be VERY careful what you bid on. If they say scratch and dent (rather than as-is) then the item should be working. I made the mistake of buying a "scratch-and-dent" fridge that was supposedly working. Sure, the lights came on. That's about it. No cooling of any kind. We had left it sitting upright in our garage for a week - just to make sure the coolant had settled and we had to move another fridge out. When we plugged it in I noticed it didn't feel cool. I downloaded the PDF manual and checked everything, No luck. I wrote to "the management" and they couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge that I had written, let alone say sorry if they weren't going to do anything to help with their piece of junk "scratch-and-dent" fridge. Not impressed. I used to buy a fair bit - mostly little stuff - but never again. I don't enjoy being ripped off.
Expensive garbage
Great deals
The staff here are just awesome! Friendly and VERY efficient. First time buying from these guys, I'll be back again for sure!
This is the best auction house in the city. Great service and great staff.
I goto this auction when im up in edmonton. I find some of the practices a lil off especially the exorbitant msrp claims for jewellery which end up getting app 10% of the estimated appraisal value . Yet furniture or tools are often pushed to recieve 75-90% of msrp. I realize its a business and its populated by mainly flippers and dealers so if You have your heart set on something then you will pay for thay or go home empty handed. As in all auction sales if you arent the top bidder you have nothing to whine about, if your items turn out to be not what you expected or wanted i find the staff will often help you and will take the item back which is all they can do and all they should do. Overall i found all the staff really nice . And they do wear deodorant which really makes for a more enjoyable auction experience . ( ive been to auctions where they dont and that isnt fun) The auction house itself is well set up and the items are easily viewed from the provided seating area.
Always a great deal there.
New at this kinda biding at auction thing. Good experiences so far. Bid on items while we were there and on line at home. Learnerd not to have drinks while bidding on line at home. Everyone employed at the auction place is very helpful and never gave us the impression that they were just there to put in a work day and go home. Thank you kastner and all employed.
Buyer Beware. They do not refund if the thing you bought gets broke during shipping even if it's their fault for lousy packing. $135 down the drain.
We have been buying online from Kastner's for the past year and have never been disappointed!!! The Front Staff are Awesome!! On a couple occasions like in any business something was invoiced wrong etc. The Staff at Kastner's have always dealt with any issue in a friendly and professional manner and to complete Customer Satisfaction. Highly Recommend!!!
There is no assistance but it worth????
these guys are more reliable then the postal service
We Sell lots of our fleet vehicles here when it's time to upgrade. Get fair market, new changes have made it easier to sell.
I saw them complete a 900-lot auction in a single day. I know the consignee, and I know that he is extremely happy that Kastner is handling the collections and shipping.
Good overall selection, but people bid a stupid amount for stuff that they pay more than retail. Feels set up with certain items.
It's not good as I thought.but it's good place to biding for cheap price
I'm very surprised at the number of negative reviews. We have been remote bidding through Kastner Auctions for almost 2 years now. We've only had a problem a couple of times, with items being missing from our shipment. These issues were resolved once we contacted Kastner (they found the items and shipped them right away). We've found that they ship items quickly, and take good care to wrap delicate items. Like any online auction, I zoom in on the pictures so I can get a really good look at what I'm bidding on. Lots of times, I decide not to bid because there's flaws or damage to an item. As with any auction, it's also a good idea to be informed of the value of items before bidding - some lots in their auctions go for so much more than they are worth for some reason. One small issue I have is that they put the auction sticker in the worst places sometimes (for example, on the front of a purse or piece of artwork... the glue from the sticker is so hard to get off). If Kastner is reading this, maybe put a bit of painter's tape under the auction stickers so it's easier to remove and doesn't damage the item.
Enjoyed the auction
I have been going here for a lot of years great place I have also won a few things The two staff ladies at the front counter are amazing cheerful informative and delightful and know me by name dont get me wrong the whole staff at kastner Auctions are great. They have great stuff that comes up bid you never know you might win and come away with good deal.
I liked kastner up until recently where ive had a not so great experience. Customer service is not very welcoming. Its made me think twice about bidding again to be honest. There are good deals but if your an online bidder I recommend you view the item if possible.
I have bid online in two types of Kastner auctions so far - after having the opportunity to bid in the days leading up to the online bidding - one type is a very rapid 7 second reset; and the other type was led by jovial auctioneers in an embedded video window, great if you like to hear the current bid amount aloud like I do. Fast and affordable shipping to the US. Very pleased with the items I have won so far - they just as described and pictured. [It doesn't hurt that the bids are in CAD which helps me stay on my USD budget and pretty much offsets the 12% buyers premium fee.]
You can find good deals if you follow auctions
Amazing staff, super helpful, great products! Recommended to anyone looking to save some $$$
I won an an item, booked an appointment to pick it up and it couldn't be found until today and everybody says that they don't know what happened to it .... ????????♂️
Always something here that I didn't know I needed. Top notch customer service, as well.
Excellent staff & customer service !
Garbage! Misrepresentation and pictures of item on online auction. Get handed a busted up non working item for 400 bucks. To resell would cost me 50 percent roughly of what the sold possibly 25 percent if they are able to rip Someone else off for as much as they did me . I wouldn't buy anything from this auction if I were you and never will again.
I highly recommend this auction house. The staff and service was beyond reproach. The attention to detail and consideration afforded to me was above and beyond anything I expected and contributed to my entire experience being more than pleasant and highly successful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ????????????????????????????
The liquor action only sold for a few bucks less than retail for beer, hard liquor and wine. After you pay the price in gas for your vehicle to get there and the 12.5% auction cost on items you buy, you don't really save any money.
They've helped us save 100's of animals and have raised lots of funds for us. They've driven supplies 500km's , hosted special events for us. done exclusive awareness events. I can't count how many animals they have helped feed.
Great Deals if you're savvy...beware of the used items....try your luck on the bundled items
I have been buying for years. The owner Dave and the staff are friendly and helpful. Absolutely buyer beware as a general warning for any auction... but that is on the buyer not the auctioneer.......! If you are not familiar ask before you stick your hand up..... :) All issues I have seen have been due to the (unknowing/unfamiliar) buyer....
We have purchase many items from them. But we were disappointed after buying a new couch , love seat and chair from them. After picking the set up. We notice a small tear in the couch . This tear was never disclose on purchase. As well the cup holder piece in the middle of the love seat is broken,. When I phoned to complain about this. I was told there as nothing they can do about it. And they would have sean call me. Unfortunately he never did I stop calling after the 8th time of calling. I never got a refund or anything poor customer service is all I can say.maybe we need to go to better business bureau and launch a complaint with them who knows. Also I have purchased alot online. But I have also be screwed on purchases as well. For example I was trying to bid on a bench. When the item came up I hit bid but my bid was deny, so after another person bid on the item. I tried to bid again. And again the button was green and I couldn't bid. There has happened several times. So I do think their online bid thing is sketchy. As well I have had to pay for items I have never purchased. I will never buy furniture from them again.
Just a fair warning, if you do not live in Canada, it is pretty EXPENSIVE to buy from Kastner auctions. I learned that the hard way when I bought a few items from them and was charged a percentage fee AND shipping to the United States. Definitely make sure you read the fine print before bidding. Also, they tried to charge my credit card TWICE for the auction. I have a credit card where I can "freeze" it and I had done so after they charged the original fee. The next day, I got a notification saying that a charge was denied, from Kastner, for the same amount that had already gone thru the day prior. I let them know and got no apology so be aware that the credit card you put on the site may be charged at least twice. I did get everything that I bid on and it was shipped in really good packaging so that's a bonus. I ordered a glass lamp and it was not broken at all. EDITED: The reply from Kastner is ridiculous! They were not charging me for shipping. The shipping was only $50 but they were charging me twice for the auction amount which was over $300. Don't let them fool you. They will definitely try to charge you more than is necessary.
We have been dealing with Kastler's for about 5 years and the few issues we have had they fixed right away. We sell and buy there and the staff are always helpful and easy to talk to, always find great items at great prices.
Had an absolute blast here. Hey sure make it fun
The two gentlemen who did the actual lifting and hauling from my house to the auction warehouse were pleasant to deal with and reliable, very hard working and honest people. If the greater company operation followed their example the reviews here would be much better.
You can get some good deals, but some things can be deceiving and you end up getting junk. Sometimes its the people bidding that have no clue, especially with alcohol, do your research before you bid and dont forget that 18% auction fee is added plus another 5%.
Super place
Horrible language. Dirty place. But can snatch some good deals.
Though the online bidding experience is well presented, one should be aware of the underlying procedures. If you do bid successfully and are awarded ownership of an item, the following will happen. You will be advised by email (the night before) that you must PAY and PICKUP your item the following day. So, if you have a day job like most of us, you must make arrangements to leave work or get someone else to pick up the item for you. Remember, they only advised you the night before of these requirements. And what if you didn't check your mail that day? If you fail to pick up the item, it is lost, but they will still take the payment from your credit card. This was my experience, and obviously as a result I will not be returning to this site, but I will be sharing my experience on social media. Other arrangements for pick up should be available, but "telephone staff" advise me that the item is gone.
Disappointed to have won a bid on a new leather power reclining chair, only to find out it does not work. When I called to inform of the situation, as there were many items sold as new leather power reclining furniture, was told I would get a call back from one of the owners, but have not heard back from anyone. Rebecca D
Great place.Bit way too many items to bid on.Takes all day.
Fast efficient good deals
Great finds and amazing staff! Highly recommended :D
Good place for the big pieces. Been shopping here since I settled Canada. Lots of amazing deals
I have been shopping in auctions all across Alberta more-so in Edmonton Area for the last 8-9 years and this is by far the BEST AUCTION HOUSE ever :)...Staff is very well organized and the auction process is very streamlined. All other auctions that I have been to, have the policy of YOU WIN-YOU TAKE IT kindda...if its broken or bad item, its AS-IS. This is the only auction house that stands behind their merchandise. They go beyond the call of duty to straighten the things out and help a bad experienced customer. I have had genuine concerns resolved multiple multiple times (not buyer's remorse one...lol) and I am a 5* fan for Kastner Auctions. Keep nailing it Kastners!!
I really like Kastners but Im tired of bidding on something, winning, driving to pick it up only to find they've accidentally given it to someone else. This has happened twice to me and once to my husband. They don't charge you of course but how irresponsible can one be? Before going to pick up an item make sure they still have it. Also customer service is average. Some of their employees are quite unfriendly. They act like you're an inconvenience.
They did an exceptional job liquidating the abandoned assets if a commercial retail tenant. Exceeded auction estimate by 120%. Kept live bidders in their seats by handing out snacks. Above and beyond. Well done.
Never ever sell with this company. Worst Customer service.
If you're careful this can go well, but you really need to know your pricing and values. However at a 17.5% fee for online auctions, their pricing is the highest of all of the online auctions we have participated in. Their shipping prices are extremely high as well, despite their claim of discounted rates. Descriptions can be innacurate, but they cant know every product that goes through there. On the live auctions they routinely open new packaging, which devalues the resale value.
auctions are every week and the variety of items is excellent.
This auction is clean and well organized. Friendly helpful staff. Lots of neat items at great prices. Of course some things are used or scratch and dent so of course buyer beware and examine what you are buying. But overall a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Always love a good auction. Staff is awesome in help.
Was able to purchase 3 brand new 2 door coolers for a restaurant at an amazing price. Nick S was so helpful. First of all for letting us know about these unit that they had in stock. Also helping us load these coolers up onto our truck. He helped turn a stressful day into an amazing day. Thank you.
I really would like to give these guys a higher rating but inevitably, I buy something here and it gets lost or they can't find it and, if it is a few days past their deadline, they'll keep your money. It is probably ok to go to an auction in person and pay for the item and take it away that day but other than that, I wouldn't give them my time or money.
Large selection of good. Something different each time.
Absolutely love this company. Variety of different auctions, literally something for everyone and as an added bonus I can bid from the comfort of my own home. Online bidding notifications keep you up to date on upcoming auctions, lets me know when I’ve been outbid, and reminds me an auction will be closing soon. And they are totally customizable for your individual needs! The staff are fantastic!! Friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They go above and beyond to make your experience great. With quick and efficient pickups it’s just an all around great place!! Highly recommend!
I have been dealing with Kastners Auctions for about 7 years and they have the odd item I bid on however you need to be careful of cheap knock off products, expired perfume and general items that people don't feel comfortable or have a hard time selling on other online platforms. The website has the odd issue but for the most part it's ok and what you expect for a low-end auction house
Use richie bros auction, much better .
Fast Shipping, easy to deal with. Very good!!!
Auction Details Bid and Win on Everything on the floor with NO RESERVE prices. High-Quality Furniture, Incredible Estate Assets, Jewelry and So Much More... Spend Less, Get more... Only At Kastner Auctions The above is on the website for online bidding, when you go to bid online they actually have reserves put in so you cannot bid any lower than the bid they have placed. If they do not get what they are asking, they quite often pass and will not sell item. Commissions are really high compared to other auctions. If they have multiple items, they will only sell at that price, they will not re open the bids. Bid on some hardwood flooring once, they had over 10000 square feet, bid $1.00 per square foot, right away next bid jumped up to $2.00, I quit bidding. The winning bidder got it for $2.00 square foot, and only took 50 square feet (sort of suspicious, who would only want that amount), no one else took any, then they would not re sell at a lower price. Do your research prior to bidding on their new items, lots of times their minimum price is almost the new price. They are turning more into a liquidation store than an actual auction house. Used to enjoy Kastner sales, but will not be returning. Greed has become their downfall.
The sheer quantity that this auction has every week is almost overwhelming and there's always something weird or cool or unique or unusual or.. you get the picture. Just things that you wouldn't even know existed until you saw them. I've bought a few items from Kastners for unbelievable prices. For example I got a $900 laptop for $300!! When I had a problem with some items I just brought it back and got refunded no questions asked. That was even after I took an item home for two days. Great customer service! Great selection, Great prices! If you need anything that would be expensive normally, like a stove or refrigerator or couch I HIGHLY recommend going to Kastner Auctions and save yourself a few hundred bucks!
This is a popular auction but no great savings, but they come across some neat stuff
Great deals, lots of variety and super staff!!
Love the wierd, new, collectibles and rare finds there!!!!
Not only are the staff beyond helpful, but the quality of everything I've ever recieved has been infinite. I will always go back to Kastner auctions when there is something I need, and I will not hesitate to refer them. So much love to everyone in this establishment!
Bought at an auction, they're very pleasant to buy from. Had a question, got an answer really quickly. Shipping was very quick. Can't really go wrong with these guys!
NOT VERY HAPPY WITH "KASTNER AUCTIONS, WE HAVE PURCHASED A NUMBER OF ITEMS BUT AM NO LONGER GOING TO ATTEND THE LIVE AND CERTAINLY NOT THE ONLINE. HAD BID ON A VEHICLE "WELL UNDERSTANDING THAT ALL FINAL BIDS ARE SUBJECT TO SELLERS ACCEPTANCE" AFTER CALLING AND UNDERSTANDING WE DID NOT GET THE ACCEPTANCE. WE DID GET A INVOICE STATING WE DID GET THE VEHICLE AND THE AMOUNT OWING TO BE PAID BY NOON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. AFTER DRIVING INTO TOWN, ONE AND AHALF HRS. WE WERE TOLD WE DID NOT GET THE CAR. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT IS RUN BY A THIRD PARTY YET KASTNER INVOICES FOR THEM. THINK THEY SHOULD TELL PEOPLE THAT THERE IS A RESERVE ON ANY ITEM AND WHAT IT IS!! " POOR COMMUNICATIONS"
They’ve really come a long way with their customer service. Great experience!!
Have been buying and have consigned items at auction found then to be very honest polite helpful and always get good price for my items. I attend many auctions farm and city auctions, but give Kastner 5 star rating.????
Great auctions!! Fast friendly service the team here is a cut above. Always willing to help out their customers and answer a multitude of questions.
I dropped off some items as a 1st time consignment, and not knowing what to do, where to go, Ernest got me started on my list with helpful suggestions and made the transaction a pleasant experience. Great hardworking enthusiastic worker!
Nice clean and good sized auction house. Watch the bid premiums, but everyone has them now. Great inventory every week, friendly staff.

It's good auction, good people thank you
fun way to spend a day. live is fun online is easy
I've been coming to this auction for years and think they have great prices, and always have had a great experience. I love how the online auction is set up, it's easy to use and alotta fun.
PROS: I like K auctions and the online option that makes it possible for those unable to attend, still be able to purchase. The online bidding leaves something to be desired (a tad laggy at times), but this is the reason that i rated it 4 stars instead of 5; however, the possibility of online bidding is what sets it above much of the rest. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am relatively new to auctions and I have only used K auctions the past two weeks. Items are quickly delivered to us upon arrival with not any excessive waiting. During the online bidding auction, there is a contact auctioneer option, and if you give them enough notice you can ask them a question about an upcoming item. Very cool. CONS: As has been mentioned below, buyer beware. My first week I bought from K auctions (Sunday December 17, 2016) I decided to bid online, but not go and preview the items beforehand. I bought an "collapsible aluminum dolly" which I got home and went to move a dishwasher (not very heavy), and both tires exploded from under it, much like if wheels popped off a car's axles. Needless to say this was money well wasted. This isn't a criticism so much about K auctions, but more for the "buyer beware" for those that think they can buy online only and not go and look at the items beforehand. I am not sure what dolly is so light-duty that it explodes upon first use, which is why a potential buyer should inspect in person first. I won some boxes of tiles, they called us Tuesday morning to tell us to come pick them up (very difficult for those with work that morning), we went and picked up some items, but were made aware that the boxes of tiles that we won, were in fact sold to someone else. So in other words we were rushed to come pick up a product that they decided to sell on us anyway. ----------------------------------- Overall: There has been an issue the last two weeks that I have gone. I am going to try a time or two again due to the convenience of the online auction, but if there is another issue in such a short time, I will be going back to the tried tested and true auction that will remain unnamed (but it is on Yellowhead)
been going here for 16 years. love the variety!
Great selection of goods
Nothing hidden.
Bought 3 coolers at auction. All brand new. Less than a month lost the first one. Lost the second one this morning. No name brand to source repairs. My loss and as a small business owner, I do not recommend buying anything here. Buyer beware. No response from customer service after we lost the first one.
Great deals
What a scam! Do not sell with this gong show operation.
Polite staff a fun place to do some retail therapy for a price you are comfortable with. Warning... can be a little addictive????
easy to sell all my stuff here no more getting stood up by buyers that never show up. TIP: if you bring in lots of stuff you get a discount on consignment, Don't tell the owners I told you! :0
Variety of stuff on offer at a reasonable price. Friendly and helpful staff.
lose my mind here sometimes, there's so much stuff! I hate missing a deal so I always check the online bidding Sunday. maybe Monday too.
I used to be a frequent buyer at Kastners auctions. Since they have opened the Lethbridge auction, their standards have gone down and their average minimum bid has gone up to $7.50. I bid on a snowcone maker and the door was broken right off. It couldn't have been broken due to the shipping because it was in the original box and packaged well. There was no mention that it was broken and they would have noticed it if they had looked at it at all. Yes, there is a waiver stating that it comes as is, but the description of the item should state if there is any noticeable damage or have a picture of it, not just the outside box if there are issues. The other thing is that Kastners must have changed their method of shipping because it is very costly now to ship anything. I do get notifications and tracking but I would rather pay less. It is now not worth buying anything online from them anymore, especially if they are not going to be checking the items or giving better descriptions of them. They also have the option of not accepting things that are unusable to auction off. I originally started using because they were inexpensive to ship items.it is not worth it at this point unless they change their policy of a lower minimum bid or their shipping. As a consigner, I will never use them again. In January 2021 kastners picked up about 500 comics from me in Calgary to auction off along with some expensive other collectible items such as a number of signed hockey jerseys with COAs, and unopened 1980s baseball cards, signed hockey pucks. I did not get anything to sign from them in a form of a contract when they picked up the items. Nothing was auctioned until June, and it was only a few things to start. Eventually my comics were auctioned in late July. To make it worse, only half of my comics were put into the auction. I was also charged a 30 percent commission and my comics were the bulk of the auction and brought in over $2000. I was shocked. I called and asked a number of times what the commission was that they would take and they said that it would depend. No specific explanation as to how it worked. Bits and pieces were auctioned off after that, and then the other half of my comics were to be auctioned in September. For the last auction, I was very frustrated. If you are a comic collector you know that you always list the comic by the number and not by the storyline on the cover. You also list first and second chracter appearances because it adds to the value. Comic collectors search for comics this way. It must have been someone in Lethbridge's first time to list comics because all of them were just listed by the storyline. Furthermore, for the first auction in July, I had advertised the auction on Kijiji in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver as well as Edmonton. This is probably why we got as much as we did on my items. and Calgary. I think that this is why the auction did well. For the last auction in September, my comics were hardly getting any bids so I had kastners pull them from the auction and send them back to me .
Dec 31st: I spoke with Taylor from Kastner Auctions. She was very helpful in resolving the issues I describe below. Thank you for resolving these issues, I would be willing to shop here again. Dec 30th: BUYER BEWARE! 1st: POOR customer service. Was promised a quote for shipping but was never given a quote and was auto charged to my credit card. 2nd: An item in the auction was misrepresented in the title. Multiple items were missing making the item essentially useless. Zero effort to resolve the issues, only empty threats of being banned. WILL NOT BE SHOPPING HERE AGAIN. As an employee at an auction house we would NEVER treat a customer like this. If we promise something and do not deliver on it, we will always make it right.
Scammers! These guys try to sell prints as paintings! Cm Russell. Stay Away.
Buyer Beware, bought three laptops only 2 of the three actually work. There is no warranty. I cant even understand how they sell laptops with hardware issues, they obviously wipe the laptops of data. How can you do this is the laptop doesn't work!?! Do yourself a favor and stick to new egg refurbished...at least you know what you are getting!
Buyer Beware! Do not buy online! Items are not described properly and pictures are taken in a way to disguise true condition. Purchased a leather couch, loveseat that was covered in bears and was sold with other brand new couchs. Description said it nothing about all the rips and tears! I first thought, well my mistake i did not check it out the day before so i asked to relist for next weeks action and i would have to suck up buyer and seller fees plus any loss in price. I was told that they would not relist it as it was not in good enough condition but they had to sell it because it was lumped together with other items from a large consignor they deal with all the time. I could not believe they would not relist it! So big guy wins and well i got ripped off for $450.00!!!! Thanks Kastners, you guys are fricken scam artists with no sense of what is right or wrong. I highly advise to avoid this auction at all costs, they do not play fair!
I get lots of good stuff here, when I'm away, they have online bidding too
We used this auction house, because the sales person Dan came out and estimated our items to be worth alot of money and we were excited because we literally sold everything and moved into our motorhome. After the first batch of items that went to the auction and I received pictures and pricing, half of our items were not even unpacked and showed, like high ticket items like 10 Faberge eggs, Pier 1 Imports 4 ornamental roosters, antique flatware, oil paintings, blue mountain pottery, blown glass items, antique asian vases, Ikea table etc etc. When brought to Dans attention , he did apologize and reimbursed me some money but nothing like it should have been. So again on the second pick up the warehouse staff again did not unpack everything and threw packed boxes into an estate treasure pallets. So whoever bid on these pallets certainly received treasures. Very dissappointed. Then on the third pick up Dan would not even speak to me only text messages and promised me that he personally would take care of my stuff, and of course this did not happen again. Very unprofessional, rude comments back to me that he didn't even want to deal with me. I do not suggest anyone to sell anything through this auction house but yes you should certainly buy from them, because you will probably by very happily surprised.
I always find the most unique antique items at kastners and for well below what I would pay for them at an antique store. The great staff and dog friendly environment are just an added bonus.
My own fault. I dont know why i keep buying stuff from this auction. If you are thinking of bidding on something, please go in and look at it first. If you are bidding online, don't bid on anything unless it says " new". The picture may look good but if it's not new it's likely junk.
The kings of exaggeration. Everything is 'vintage' or 'rare' and in excellent condition! Except it isn't. Be very wary of bidding on line, and don't believe anything in the description. The only thing 'rare' are good deals.
Amazing place to be with excellent service and staff. Great deals and the selection is always a refreshing suprise!
Great to work with and do business with. Recomend!
Bought a pallet of items. Listing stated MANY of the items were still sealed packages. SO I purchased based on this. I guess 5 sealed out of over 30 boxes is considered many with Kastners. Use caution as listings and descriptions are misleading. I will be deleting my account and will never buy again from them.
Purchased a variety of items from Kastner Auctions, but am superbly happy with my most recent purchase of a fridge and stove. Easy purchasing process, excellent delivery options and amazing products. Thank you Kastner Auctions!!
Always amazing dealing with the gang over at Kastner Auctions!! Got some great deals!!
Absolutely the best place to consign your goods if you want them given away...Case in point, brand new unused unopened poker chip set in an aluminum box..chips still wrapped in cellophane and all it brings is $20 bucks...could have sold it on Kijiji for 4 times that..oh well live and learn the only things I will ever consider bringing here again are items that I find totally worthless and don't care what they bring.
Looking over there web site they fail to disclose any buyers fees that I could find ( or they sure hide it very well) They should state that PLAINLY AND CLEARLY
Pretty good auction
Great deals on mattresses
Brenda on consignments and Susan on the front desk are both fantastic to deal with. Great experience.....would recommend
Hi Sean, I am a frequent customer of the Kastner Auctions and usually have been very satisfied. Lately, however, we have had a few items bought that were not quite described accurately causing items to be bought that we would not otherwise buy if described properly. 1.) Recently bought a "Complete" set of Harry Potter movies that turned out not to be a complete set. 2.) Bicycle- we even viewed the bike prior to and then once we bought the bike and got it home the front wheel was warped and the bike was unable to be ridden as we have to have the wheel replaced at $75. 3.) Most recently we bought a helmet that was described as "large" we got the helmet home and turns out it's a youth large. Which should have been provided in the description as our kids are all teenagers and it won't fit them. An unnecessary purchase. I was wondering if anything could be done about any of these issues? It would be nice to have proper accurate descriptions in the things that are being sold as it's quite misleading at times. We have normally been happy customers but recently are disappointed. We look forward to hearing from you. Sent and email Wednesday, July 12 2017. Haven't received a response. Sincerely, Chris Cook
Always helpful and friendly
I've been going to this place for years. Never had a bad experience. Best auction place in the city. Would recommend this place to everyone. Give it a try!
Friendly front end staff. Efficient and polite. Try to view items before bidding.
Fast, efficient friendly service!
Sold items through these guys, high commission + poor marketing = bad results, was told they would market items the week prior to auction (only posted a picture to their website), I realize it's an auction and prices can be all over the place but the results were terrible, bad experience, won't sell there again
Very good for buyers but not good deals for sellers. That was my experience though
Update: Perhaps my problem was already being worked on and someone just forgot to respond or maybe the review prompted action, but my problem was ultimately resolved. I was asked to remove my review, but that is not fair. I lost a half day of work on the phone with USPS when a simple "We'll handle it on our end" would have set everything right and I would have trusted that things were being dealt with. I was being patient, I didn't demand a refund, or that the issue be solved urgently. I explained the situation and asked to be advised on what to do. After no response, I legitimately believed all was a complete loss. But I would still like to reiterate that the experience and auctioneers were lovely. I would just recommend that if bidding on a heavy or breakable item, you clarify shipping details in advance and increase the insurance. I honestly hate that I have to leave a bad review. The experience was fun and the auctioneers put in a lot of work. Unfortunately, I have a problem that needs to be resolved but my emails have gone unanswered and no one picks up the phone. This isn't bad customer service, it's zero customer service. I included the general manager on my emails when no one answered at the customer service address, not really sure what else I can do. I'm out my pieces, my money, and had an unexpectedly expensive shipping charge to go with it. I asked in advance which vendor would be used for shipping and I was told UPS. It was not UPS, it was USPS. I would NEVER purchased $500 worth of goods being shipped via USPS. They are too unreliable and difficult to work with if there's an issue. Had I known it would be shipped USPS, I would absolutely have increased my insurance coverage if I bid at all. The instructions are clear that winners need to phone in to arrange shipping but that's not the process that was carried out. Kastner made all of the shipping choices without my input. And at this point, I'm not actually sure that I will be getting my $100 insurance from USPS as the items were packed in a way that guaranteed there would be issues (thinly wrapped glass object with a marble slab). The other broken item, a wooden tray, was damaged in a way that is unexplainable like it either happened before it got into the box or as though it actually came out of the box at some point. The box has a damaged corner and looks like it maybe have had another box sit on top of it and buckled under the weight, so hopefully USPS will approve my claim so that I get at least some of the money back :( I am so disappointed. These purchases were a splurge. I didn't just have the money to throw around. Additionally, I chose this specific way to splurge because I liked how the profits were going to be spent. I've more or less just made a donation to the auction house. I cannot recommend that anyone participate in auctions with Kastner if you will require your items to be shipped.
My husband and I have been dealing with Kastner Auctions for almost ten years now. SP 'The computer tech whiz' as I like to call him, is always happy to answer any questions we have or anyone else may have. He will also go out of his way to find an item difficult to locate the auction house for customers and consignors alike. Sean is great and is moving the company forward. I give both of them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for their customer service!!
Sold my stuff and never paid me. After calling multiple times and getting the run around I gave up.
I gave Kastner's a one star review about a year ago. It was probably written after I'd lost something shiney in the online auction. I have attended many auction viewings since and both my wife and I have looked forward to Saturday morning coffee at the auction house. So to recap: The staff: The staff are all fairly easy to deal with still - anyone can have a bad day. Jen is very fair to deal with and isnt as grumpy as she lets on. Susan and Brenda are both excellent customer service staff and Kastner's is lucky to have them. The guys in the back are very helpfull and will always take time to assist. The bearded crusty guy in the back (name withheld) - gonna miss ya pal!! I have received a few items that were not up to par and the staff promptly refunded my money. In one case, Sean couldn't refund due to the timeline but he gave me a no bidder fee auction as a refund and promised to sort the consignor out!! To all the other reviewers: careful what you are bidding on; look first; the staff usually only have as much history on an item as what is offered to them by a consignor (the consignor gets a fine if a product is found to be faulty and not disclosed); the bidder fees are still painful, but so is paying top dollar at a retailer I guess. If you think you over paid for an item then YOU shouldn't have bid so high. I have transfered from the Edmonton area to Ontario. Obviously buying the larger item wouldn't be cost effective however, I will still keep my eyes open on some of the easily mailed Shiney Stuff. (I believe they offer discounted Canada Posts rates as well). The business has improved and the online site is getting much better. Now if SP can tell me how to get more than 12 items to show on my phone at a time, my bidding would be that much faster!! Keep up the great work Sean, and all the staff at Kastner's!!!
It was the first time I attended an auction in Canada. I placed a bid to a folding table during an online live auction. They charged me for 4 tables instead of 1 table. However, they refunded me after I call them to fix the issue. As a newcomer, I feel myself vulnerable to abuse. After all I could not sue them for 150 bucks. Thanks for being fair.
does not even rank for 1 star but i had to put one to post. item descriptions given are altered or deleted by the staff to the detriment of the client. items are "lost". if you are buying be wary, if you are looking to sell DO NOT go here
Not a fan of this auction. I feel there are too many items that are brought in by the same dealers every auction and with the online auction as well, prices are too high.
FRAUDS do not buy jewelry here they provided an appraisal with the ring valued at an absolutely false price, the ring is appraised at over $800 and is worth about $20. How this fraudulent appraisal documentation is legal I do not know but they likely use an appraiser who has no problem inflating the price. Lesson learned! By the way the lady at the front desk is absolutely horrible and miserable and needs to be fired, you know the one.
Kastner is the best place to buy and sell . Have a great services and good product .
This last clothes auction was great. I love the deals I continue to receive here. Every Time is another great experience..thx
We used Kastner Auctions to auction off numerous new clothing items, shoes and some misc. items. They did a bang up job with the photography and the item details. I would most definitely use them again.
5 star all the way!!! Had an issue with a item that was purchased as is, dealt with the Sean the owner and was given a full refund.
I was buying from Kastner Auctions regularly until I had my THIRD issue with items I had won being lost or as I was told Tuesday, given to someone else??...I and the new girl that was helping me were then informed by one of the staff ( brunette 5'5" sturdily build no glasses-a long term employee as I have seen her there often )they did 5000 lots each weekend so my loss was not important as it happens all the time...Really? So my three losses overall were no big deal? This is a common occurrence ..an hour an half later I got my refund for the item and Kastners lost a great customer ... BEWARE what you win(according to staff)has a great chance of disappearing.( ask yourself who is doing the stealing? Is there no security? As the Owner stated below it was one box of 28 pairs of socks out of the 14 CASES I bought..I resell ..so I calculated ALL the socks to divide them by what paid ..not only was a case missing but I was shorted 9 pairs from the other cases ..so where did 37 pairs of new socks go? ...because of all the missing items my cost went from my original calculations of .69cents a pair to $1.10 a pair ..no wonder I am choked my time is just as Valuable as the staff at Kastners but NOT according to the Staff there..At NO TIME or in your reply did you outline any SPECIFIC policy changes....Throwing a 200 gift card at me (which I didn't take) or offering to pull my winnings specially after the auctions doesn't change the FACT that items at KASTNERS AUCTIONS are NOT SECURE....what you win can go missing or be shorted.. that is the reality and my experience...and belittling my experience by saying it was one case of socks just shows you how much they don't care ,about my experience KASTNERS. The owner and CEO don't care they just want your money they don't care if you get your winnings as your winnings are not secure..period...thanks for the blessing and God Bless you as well
Used to like buying stuffs here but it's becoming dreadful dealing with some front staffs Billing...???? really, really Awful! You could sense her negative ENERGY far far away!!! ????????????
Friendly staff. Poor parking but auctions are available online which helps.
Just make sur you check wherever you want to buy really good. I had 2 bad experiences where i buy staff and they had deficiencies that were not listed.
Nice to see an auction house using auctioneers still it makes it much more interesting.
Had a horrible experience selling my vintage items through Kasner Auctions! They lost, misplaced, or stole some of my items. They were unprofessional, unorganized, and did not handle my items with care. I also wouldn't be surprised if they broke some of my items. They are not reimbursing me for the missing items. Don't sell your items at this auction house! This was my first and last time using Kasner Auctions!
Too much junk
I have read quiet a few reviews of various people who have shopped at Kastners and didn't have a winning experience :). I can only share mine to give an idea of what it is like to shop at this auction house. First thing is that I get an option of quality new merchandise at a fraction of the store prices. Second thing is the service that I receive from Sean & staff always ....and yes always :). I have had lots of times wherein a simple friendly discussion turned into a win on my side for any disputed merchandise. I have bought lots of jewelry with appraisals and flipped on Kijiji for 100-300% profits, quality watches with brand names, sold Rolexes/Movados/Rado bought from Kastners, sold high end laptops with all the software on Kijiji and made a lot of profit, donated a lots of brand new apparels, kids stuff, shoes, furniture, electronics, household good to various women shelters !! ...and yes I feel happy when we as a family are able to help someone in need. Helped a lots of my friends and acquaintances buy mattresses and brand new furniture in the boxes....and they were flabbergasted.. !! You be the judge what do you want to buy and for how much. Educated decisions always yield to great results :)
Re. Mark Davidsons previous review. Only 1 person to blame for that situation. YOU! If you or ANYONE else is so foolish to buy ANY item from ANY auction without first checking it out then they deserve all they get. We have bought several items from here including 2 brand new !st class leather sofas @ $1000 for the 2. Retail about $4000. We have also bought new Dining Table & 8 Leather chairs Bedroom dresser & mirror + other bits and pieces. First rate goods at great prices. ALWAYS go there first and check whatever you are interested in, in person. Then bid on line if you like. There is a very well known saying:-Caveat Emptor. Buyer Beware!!! As someone else mentioned. It's an auction!!!! and we would certainly recommend Kastners as a good auction house.
Great servise. Great staff. Great products. Cant beat kastner.
Hi I'm sorry I tryed your auctions as they were an easy program I bought a Australian Penny from the curiousity collection from the musicians house . I haven't received it. It's not a large item but I've paid for it and not received it .you haven't bank acct details to debit the cost of a stamp. To ,Me ;christine Bake.4/79, Kingscliff drive Golden Bay 6174. Western Australia. ???? I wouldn't think it would take so long.
Absolutely the worst experience in dealing with a business I have ever had. No information, no response to calls or emails.
Always a pleasure attending and buying from this auction house
Customer service has gone way downhill. When I go in to pick up, I'm hardly ever greeted. Im often ignored for a good while before someone comes up. Even if the staff are right in front of me, they won't look up until they are done with whatever they are doing. A "hello, I'll be right with you" would go a long way is all I'm saying. When it comes to auctions always check your items in person. Items can be broken, stained, expired, and some items sell for more than they are worth. I realized staff can bid on items as well which I would think is conflict of interest? Can you get good deals on occasion, yes but do your research and take into account the buyers fee, plus taxes on top of what you bid.
As a buyer I was always given a 5 star VIP experience, the staff took their time to show me items and explain what some of the neat stuff is (because some things are so bizzare and obscure they need explaining!) The woman at the front seemed to know everyone's name and it made the business feel like a family get together. The auctioneers were hilarious, they always have something to say and have made my day on countless occasions. The pick up staff were FAST. And that truly is an understatement, I've seen them blow through a lineup while still making time to catch up and give friendly small talk to everyone. I've seen them entertain kids, console customers, and make everyone in that building feel important. Naturally, I needed to work here. Now I am going on my second year as an employee and nothing has changed in this regard. The owners, management, and staff are a family to me. Our buyers are family to me. Our consignors are family to me. In a province where I have no relatives I am welcomed and treated like Kastner is in my name. I have seen alot over the past 2 years, learned alot over the past 2 years, and grown alot in the past 2 years and I owe it all to a business whose values are in people, and not in profit. We are here for the little guys, the big guys, and the small time hobbyist. It doesn't matter who you are, or what you do, you will be treated with care and respect here, and I am proud to be apart of it.
The staff is absolutely clueless! I’ve never waisted so much time in my life! I called and asked where to view some items. Drove across the city to their warehouse only to be told the items where at a different location! I won an item online. I called the next day, to ask where I pick up and If I can pay for my item at the pick up. They told me yes! Went to pick up item the staff informed me I had to go to the main office and pay! They have absolutely NO communication between their staff.
Its a pleasure to be a bidder at Kastners. I have won several items and initially I was apprehensive about shipping to the UK, but i have had no issues. Brian and Keith are entertaining with the Patter, its so different from UK auctioneers, they keep the bidding pumped just with the energy. Thanks to all at Kastners
Fun!! Great values! What we really are impressed with, are the folks that wrap and package the items for shipping!!! We've never had an issue receiving any item. No damages with the wonderful care they take - even the crystal we bought. Thanks all!
Great deals... not such great customer service, too rushed and in a hurry to answer questions.
They are busy but the turnaround is not bad.
Not the best but not the worst. It seems like it has turned into an auction for their staff to sell cheap Chinese merchandise or stuff they have bought at other auctions. You really have to do your research both online and especially checking the items out in person.
I've been buying all my stuff here for 10 years! appliances, furniture, and A Silverado. I like live auctions best.
Best Place to get Restaurant Equipment
I've never had a problem with the auction its self. My items were always accurate and the price was always right ! It's fun times :) However that being said, I will admit that I don't think you need to be overly friendly to work there. The receptionist wasn't all for hello's, goodbyes or smiles, and one of the guys that retrieved our item literally said zero words to us. Came to us with his hand out, grabbed the paper, came back gave the item and just stood there...in silence. Made it super awkwaaaaaard. If it was a regular store I wouldn't go back due to the customer service aspect of it...however the auction part is great.
Fun
Terrible experience. Please note all recent reviews provide poor ratings and all good reviews are anonymous from 4 years ago so clearly fake. I purchased 10 items at a recent auction using their online system. Here is what I experienced: - when you bid on an item 17.5% is added to what you are bidding. This is not made very clear by their website unless you do a bit of digging. How hard would it be to make it clear and on the bidding page say the total price of the bid? Also GST is added to used items...something you would never have to pay if you bought the used items from a private sale. - the items are photographed from the right angle to hide damage. I didn't go down to the showing....huge mistake on my part. I am not talking about one item...every used item I purchased had damage that was hidden in the pictures. - I received an email at 11:36am stating I had won items and had till 6pm that same day to pick them up? I am assuming working people are not the target demographic of this business. - when I arrived to pick up my items and complained about the short notice given to pick up items the woman at the front desk was very rude. I learned my lesson and will not be shopping there again. Jacked up prices, damaged items misrepresented combined with rude staff... Just wow. PS to be fair the staff in the back were very polite and friendly, only the front desk woman was rude.
Pandemic or not these guys need some serious customer service training, or, at least, brush up on common courtesy. Showed up for pick up - almost 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me and other customers being there. And they have 6-7 stuff in the room. Then the guy gives me attitude for not knowing my lot number. What's the point of booking if you aren't ready??? But wait, there's more!!! Apparently they have 2 different entrances for different auctions pickup. But that information so secret so you have to come to one door, wait in line if there's one (it be ignored like we were) just to be told to have to go somewhere else. Ok, drive around there building - the door is locked. Yay!! The only thing that auction has it going for them is every now and then you can come across items that you wouldn't think to buy in the first place. Almost never it is the killer deal, just ok. So after today i really started questioning if a few bucks savings are worth it.
love bidding live or online, been going here for a decade
Great place to hunt for deals
