My six-year-old daughter and I had a very negative experience with a counselor at our first appointment. I decided, based on what happened during this time, that Arrow was not the right fit for my daughter, and I emailed the counselor and owner to let them know that we would not be returning and why. The email was a few paragraphs, and the last line was, "thank you for your time." The following week, the counselor emailed me back and responded only with, "my pleasure, see you guys soon." Nothing else in my email was addressed--even the entire point of it (we will not be returning) was ignored (in her saying, "see you guys soon). Also, the owner never responded. After such a poor experience, I was expecting, at a minimum, "we're sorry you were dissatisfied." Oh well--we're moving on. I do wish I'd listened to the negative reviews before trying this center, so maybe our story will save someone else from experiencing what we did.
UPDATE/upgrade to 2 stars: I received an auto-message reminding me of my next appointment, so I called the office to tell them (again) I would not be returning. Spoke to the office manager, who was very understanding.
As a result of this conversation, Carla, the owner, did call me and was extremely apologetic and empathetic. She explained why my email was not addressed appropriately (tech issue) or timely, and seemed very sincere. She even offered a free session to repair the damage that was done during the first session. I truly appreciate her effort and time. I do hope that, going forward, the therapist will re-evaluate her techniques so that other children are not affected as my daughter was. No hard feelings, moving forward.
