The Counseling & Resource Center of Dearborn is helpful, professional, and efficient. When my counselor at another facility took an urgent leave of absence, I felt anxious until I turned to the Counseling & Resource Center of Dearborn and started working with Christin Perry-Michalik. Christin helped me work through relationship transitions, anxiety, triggers relating to complex PTSD, and phobias. I highly recommend her and the facility if you are in need of a counselor.

This is truly an amazing place for trauma survivors. My therapist has such incredible and extensive knowledge on techniques for dealing with trauma, and she doesn’t stubbornly subscribe to just one psychological perspective. Throughout our sessions, she is able to adapt and move from technique to technique until she finds one that works for me personally. She also stays on top of new research, which is such a refreshing change from other therapists I have tried to work with. I still have a long journey ahead of me in therapy, but I cannot express how grateful I am for the CRC and for my therapist. I honestly don’t know where I’d be if I hadn’t found them. If you are looking for a counseling center that bases their practice off of real science and dedication to their clients, the CRC is the place for you.

Excellent! Wide range of counselors, so if not a perfect fit first try, no big deal to change. All topics and issues. Knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate, and caring from the office staff to Dr. Kathy, who operates the clinic. Been going for a while now, they have saved my life and my sanity. My counselor is not married to a single therapeutic approach, and introduces modalities that are pertinent to where I am in the healing process. I experienced EMDR for the first time here and found it very helpful. I am very glad I came here. It is a great fit for me and I feel I have made progress toward my goals. I have often recommended DCRC to others and expect to continue to do so. Right now, due to COVID19, my sessions have moved to phone, but I have found them no less effective than my in person sessions. I know, from talking with my counselor, that group sessions are also available by request. If even two people are interested in the same topic for group, arrangements can be made.

My therapist here is amazing. I just wish i coukd reach her 24/7. I have only met with her twice but she is like a friend. I recommend this facility if you have any problems. They truly care about your well being.

I called trying to find a therapist for my grandson and had the best customer service experience. I don't leave reviews but wow. The young woman who answered the phone Renee was so kind and sweet. They did not except my insurance but not only did she email me resources, she called me a few days later just to check in on the search. She made me want to be seen there just to see if everyone was as happy and as kind as her.
