I signed up for counseling and was told upon sign up that it is $39 a month to be enrolled on top of my fee I have to pay for each session. They said within the first month if I wasn't satisfied and cancelled that I would get my $39 back. When I went to cancel the lady THEN informed me that you have to cancel within seven days of the enrollment, which is a scam because they usually can't get you a legitimate appointment to see how you will like it until after 7 days.

They make is super easy to schedule an appointment and are very detailed when explaining things so you really understand what is going on. I had trouble with billing and they went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of.

I've worked with my therapist at the Blacksburg office since 2019, and I am SO lucky to have found her! The office is pleasant, the staff are friendly, and the therapy has been the best I have had. I came in working on complex issues with trauma, and I have made so much progress in the past couple of years that I am in a completely different place than I was before. They are usually flexible if you need to change your schedule, and pay is a reasonable $25 with VT's student insurance. They have kept working virtually through the pandemic, which has been a godsend!

Getting an appointment was easy and the customer service from the Thriveworks team is awesome! The office is comfortable and in a great location. I am able to reschedule or schedule additional appointments conveniently. I am glad I found them!

Misleading and scammy feeling website. Avoids answering questions about fees...and while all options are available on the page there is no one available "in your area" for whatever you need other than generic online councelling. This is NOT a page for thriveworks in blacksburg but a hub page for all their chain locations.

Ashley is an amazing clinician! As a colleague, I have seen her go above and beyond for her clients. She is genuine and professional and can put anyone at ease. She is a deep thinker and puts a tremendous amount of care into her clinical assessment and treatment approaches. She is a wealth of knowledge and someone I turn to for case consultation regularly. I couldn't recommend her enough!

I like that you can get an appointment right away, and that it’s conveniently located. Also there’s plenty of parking. The offices are really nice, and so are the people!

Through our conversations, her support, and my self-reflection I was able to get a healthy handle on my negative thoughts. No matter what I shared, how much I cried, or how vulnerable I became she never judged me. I would recommend Thriveworks, specifically Sarah, to anyone in need of a permanent shift in the way they think about themselves.

ThriveWorks is a very calm, relaxing environment and Courtney is very good at her job. This is something I look forward to each week and I feel like I am missing out if I do not go. Got everything set up for an appointment here and then the person I was speaking to informed me of the one-time $99 patient enrollment fee. This does not include the normal charge for seeing a therapist. This tells me everything I need to know about the priorities of this office. Apparently, your mental health is important as long as you have the cash to pay extra.

Great staff , horrible policys, billing w/o notification. Never give the whole truth about billing. Take credit card to SIGN UP! then use it indescriminately w/o proper billing techniques.. Take advantage of people who need help most. Will be contacting BBB about billing practices.
