I have been taking my son to dr. Steinmann since he was about 4 months old. We had another pediatrician and it was a horrible experience, I was just asking questions about some vaccines before giving them to my son and our old pediatrician was terrible, she wouldn't answer me and assumed right away I was antivax. She told us to get out if we didn't do the vaccines right away. We left and found dr. Steinmann, he answered all my questions and is always so sweet and caring. He is a busy doctor but he doesn't let it show when he is with you. Every time we see him I'm happy with the results. He's unlike any other doctor! I would recommend him to anyone. I'm going to be heartbroken when he retires.

Dr Steinmann started off as a Chiropractor and then studied and graduated with a DO from DMU. He is the best doctor for joint pain and the musculoskeletal system of anyone in the Des Moines area. I highly recommend him for arthritis and and all other types of treatments. He spends a lot of time asking questions and explaining everything well during office visits. He is a great and caring doctor.

I was reading some of the prior reviews about the front desk staff. Every time I have ever called or had an appointment in the office, the staff (including the front desk) have always been amazing! I once had a billing issue on labwork and they went above and beyond to help. Dr. Steinmann (Mr) is the best! I drive 4 hours each way to go see him. He listens, he cares, he understands, he doesn't assume. He is the best. I would fly into Des Moines if necessary to keep him as my physician. Good doctors are HARD to find. Thank you Steinmann Family Health for all you do! YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!

I've been seeing Ed & Lori for over 30 yrs. They're very compassionate, friendly, and thorough. They spend more time with me than most doctors do. Wonderful bedside manners! They're great with my kids. I've gone through SO much with them - Ed even helped me find appropriate care for my parents, who have differing types of dementia. They care about me as a parson, not just a patient.

Dr. Steinmann and Lori are fantastic. Dr was my moms physician for decades. I go to Lori for the girl stuff and Dr Steinmann for everything else. Totally unlike the clinics these days where you don’t even know if the doc remembers you or not. Both take the time to listen, explain things and make sure you are taken care of. Staff is also excellent. It’s nice to still have a doctors office like it used to be. Personal, considerate and cared for by all.

Caring, personal doctor.. do not agree with the experiment medication he prescribes. I also was not informed prior to giving blood that he uses a private lab and my insurance did not cover it with my visit. 1000.00 lab bill came in the mail.
