Went for couples counselling. Although we only went for 2 sessions, I feel that the entire sessions were spent assigning blame instead of understanding the reasons why one person acts one way or another. Literally we walked out of there at eachother’s throats. Issues that were previously resolved which we both had agreement on were tossed up into confusion. Validation for disagreeing was given one-sided, and personal bias influenced what was perceived as right and normal. A couple good points were made, but after talking at length, both of us felt the sessions were unhealthy.

If you are struggling with mental health, do not see this woman. This was my first time seeing a therapist at the insistence of others and it was the worst experience of my life and I'm apprehensive about ever seeing another one again. I paid over $1000 in a single month to talk to her for just under an hour a week. In the end she told me she felt like I was using her. I'm sorry, but isn't it your job to be told the things going on in my mind? Why is you doing your job making you feel used? And in the end, when I asked for confirmation that I've been seeing her for to provide to a program I'm in, she refused, saying she does not provide confirmation (a simple letter). It doesn't say this anywhere on her website, or in the hundreds of papers she makes you sign. So in the end, I was broke, screwed over, and more suicidal than when I began. Save you money, go elsewhere.
