Here we offer you the reviews of people like you who are buying the services of Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH ) (Psychologist) near Sydney (Canada).
At this moment the firm has a rating of 2.5 stars over 5 and this score has been based on 76 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is insufficient, and it's based on a high number of scores, so we may think that the assessment is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...

I had a bad heart attack 2 weeks back, went to Emergency and had to sign myself out because of their inability to understand my wishes. 1. I am deaf, please speak up. 2. No procedures without explanation. 3. Fear of needles. Zero compassion and even worse, I read lips and they had me across from Nurse Station, big mistake, huge. These ER nurses, for the most part, need to be retrained and taught what the word empathy means. Total disregard for patients wishes. I returned 6 hours later, as I said I would, was put into CCU/ICU and again explained my 3 wishes. I was treated much better there but I was already gun shy and when they started procedures without informing me, I left again.
Very good and big hospital, nice & clean all the staff is friendly just a little wait in emergency but it's a normal thing for big hospitals.
Wish give -5. This is not an hospital..it is health scam...begged the emergency doctor to do an image for my back pain and finished up by ordering an ultrasound for front abdomen even I told him I did a CT scan for the abdomen recently. Can we call him a doctor? Generally the health care system in the majority part of canada is rubbish..but this hospital is a joke. This is cape breton regional grave.
Not clean, rude staff, terrible wait times in the ER. Most doctors (Not all!) aren't very well trained. I have many personal stories about their multiple misdiagnoses which didn't leave to much time left. Going to this hospital is like death wish, it's almost impossible not to catch an illness when you attend this place. These are some reasons why as a resident of Sydney I have a doctor in Halifax and rather travel the 4-5 hours there instead of going here. ~Justin D.
We're fortunate to have this beautiful facility here in Cape Breton! Please support our health care professionals. And try to be patient in the waiting areas.
Worst hospital. Wish I could give it 0 stars. My friend was pregnant, had a panic attack and she started heavily bleeding and they made her wait for 13 hours. When she finally saw the doctor, he told her that she would have to get an appointment for an ultrasound (which would take 4 weeks) until then, she would have to stay on Tylenol to hold off the pain. This place is inhumane
My mother spent 9 months in this hospital not counting. The other times she spent there through the years . I was able to stay with her in her room the entire time and the staff made that possible for me . Being there everyday I seem first hand that the nurses were wonderful . They were so good to my mom and I was able to see them with other patients and they gave excellent care . I can’t say emouoh about the pallative care unit. They were amazing. They did everything to make mom and me comfy so my mom. Was able to pass away peacefully with me holding her in my arms . I can’t say enough good about the staff at this hospital
rude doctors and untrained staff
bad like yo momma
Wow sad to see these past( i believe) unrepresentative reviews here. The best hospitals in Quebec 3-7 hrs waiting times are common if you are having minor problems. The health care crisis is here and now ! As a vacationer in Nova Scotia Aug19 on a 6 day lightening tour of the province while walking White Rock point , North Cape Breton I had a serious heart problem which entailed an Ambulance ride from there to the Sidney Hospital Where the cardiac team took the most awesome care of me until such time as i was looked after by the Cardiac unit in Halifax. Thanking all the team on at that time and a special shout out to Dr Morrison for his above and beyond exceptional help, And to the whole gang in Cardiac ward you will all be fondly remembered until such time as i get back to thank you all personally one day again. Sincerely Barry
Rude doctors. Unorganized management. Don't know which case is emergency and which not. Patients have to wait like 8 to 10 hours which makes them more serious. I think its not a hospital its a hell. I don't want to give 1 star also.
Well, I waited so for for 15 hours to see if my finger is sprained, broken hyper extended, or whatever else might be wrong. They are the angels of death with a smile on their face. They will be nothing but polite and great but they don't care. It's people I've worked with have as a neighbor, or grew up with. Easy question for you of you should come here: 1) do you want to be here more than the nurses and not get paid to be on your cell phone? If you have a good 5-24 hours to do nothing with then come on in 2) do you expect top of the line care and help? If so then do not come here. This is the worst hospital, not I The province but I would say all of Canada and our government doesn't care one bit about it. Expect long ER lines rolled eyes when you are In out patience and annoyed tones because you took them away from their cell phones This is the worst hospital in all of Canada.
It's not the people; it's the system; when it was the Cape Breton Regional Health Authority; we had great healthcare! Never should have amalgamated to the NS Health Authority!
This place is a FARSE!!!! Here my tax dollars pay the wages of most employees there and everyone to speak to is rude, unfriendly and hard to get along with. You would think a hospital would be a place where compassionate people work.....not at this hospital! They are rude in person and rude on the phone and are always unhelpful. When I go in the hospital not knowing where to go or how to find something, they treat me like I should know and sigh heavily and give curt answers when I ask for directions.
Deserves 0 stars I've been sitting in the waiting room with a broken foot for 5 hours still not once did they call my name. Staff is ignorant and when I asked about the wait they told me 1 more hour (they been telling everyone this)
Unorganized system and unfair staff.
There was blood on the bed I was told to sit on. Very no clean.
Waited here to consult the doctor. It took 7.5 hours. Terrible behavior from the triage nurse, Very odd system to treat patients. Third world country hospitals better than this one.
Everyone was super nice, and they were super quick. Just bring your own sanitizer. I only waited 2 hours in emergency and there was 6 people ahead of me
I had a positive experience, dealing with each person at the Regional hospital ; from the main entrance, to the registration desk at the xray department, up to & encluding the xray technician & staff during a recent CT scan . Professional and friendly people , made my visit a pleasant experience.
Walk in emergency open. Safety precautions strictly enforced. Wear your mask protect our health care givers! IMCU ❤
Some of the most horrific experiences I've had in my whole life were at this place because the staff treat you like garbage. The reason I even give give it one star is because there's a Tim Horton's and a Pharmasave in the Health Park.
Had been dropped off by an ambulance in critical condition without being able to stand or talk, and told to walk to the hospital doors by myself as they drive off, once realizing I had fell to the ground the second the let go of me, they sighed and took me in. Very rude staff, spent 12 hours plus waiting with serious injuries twice and when brought in had to wait two more hours to see a doctor while I can see and hear him and all the nurses talking about what they will have for lunch the next day the entire wait time. Wish I could rate this hospital 0.
I have been to at least a dozen different hospitals around the UK (as an inpatient and outpatient, private and NHS), two in France, and two in the USA. Cape Breton Regional Hospital is the cleanest hospital I have been to, the staff are by far the most friendly and helpful I have encountered (I have visited the x-ray and blood collection departments as an outpatient). Considering the additional stress of working throughout a pandemic, I was very impressed that all of the staff I interacted with were polite, friendly, helpful, and very efficient. I believe that the local residents should be very proud of this hospital's staff. Apparently the hospital is having a brand new building constructed which will make it the biggest hospital in the Province. I'd like to wish every success for the expansion project and pass on my gratitude to the wonderful staff for doing great jobs.
If I could give this place -5 stars I would. Pathetic sorry excuse of a health care system. Animals/pets here are getting way better treatment than People. Was there waiting in the emergency section from 1pm to 10:30 SO 9hrs & a half. What a JOKE! ...wasn't even seen. Never will I ever come here again for myself! There were also 2 people not wearing their masks sitting in the hospital and the security guard too busy playing on his phone to even notice and when he did notice he did nothing. SAD. (To be clear the first security guard saw working (before shift changed) he actually did something when people weren't wearing their masks in the hospital. Koodos to him) Feel bad for the Doctors & Nurses who work here, it's not their fault. Not to mention all the people still left waiting in the waiting room.
The review are crazy LOL
The problem with this hospital is the nurses, stop praising these people for being rude ad ignorant, then nurses in emergency should a sad excuse compared to nurses of yesteryear ashamed of them selves
Dr moodley is an excellent Dr if not for dr. Moodley in his quick thinking I don't know where I would be at this moment he saved my son's life and I and my husband are so grateful for him he is a wonderful surgeon takes pride in his work and is very gentle and very kind
No complaints.
The staff in cardiac care unit were helpful, informative and really cared about giving the patient the best in a difficult situation.
Policies, procedures and systems need to be revised to give staff the authority and support to carry out their functions. Management needs to address issues and focus on developing a positive environment for staff, patients and caregivers.
When u call for a update on someone no one answers and then they lie and give u the wrong number very rude
What a joke of a hospital if it possible to give negative feedback I would, but yet they spend 55 million dollars on a new addition but can even supply health care to the facility they already have what a waste of tax dollars and my time 13hrs waiting to see a doctor for something I can't treat myself for but I guarantee in alberta where the taxes are lower there's amazing Healthcare max Wait 1 hour here we pay15% and they'd rather see patients dying in there waiting room, guaranteed if Trudeau was outt here and stubbed his tow he'd have faster health care than someone dying the country is garbage and so is this hospital
This hospital is a joke. They are causing more people to be sick, the waiting room is filthy along with the ventilation system. I've been waiting for 15 hours to see a doctor. They have no organization and we pay the highest taxes in Canada for this broken health system
That was a really bad and said experience……Cold blood people everywhere in this place….
I, for one love this hospital. Despite all the negative reviews I'm seeing, I have had more good experiences then bad. My son is always in and out of the hospital due to his serve asthma and they always make sure hes well taken care of. I respect each staff member and every person I see. They work hard and put everyone ahead of themselves.
Absolutely disgusting hospital my father was taken by abulance he had fallen twice no mobility they sat him in a lobby for hours the sling the paramedic put on was the same sling he had on coming home...he could not walk needed the washroom had to physically slide himself to the bathroom...one dr came gave him pain meds and left said he would come back never did...when they released him they put a man who could not walk just oitside the cleaning staff helped my mother get him in a wheelchair and to her car....no wonder this hospital has highest death rate
I have been emitted to the CBRH quite a few times in the last number of years. In my opinion the hospital is very clean and the staff are very kind and knowledgeable. I received the help I needed and the food, which you get to order yourself, is top notch.
What sick nurses that work there. No heart. No soul. No help. Terrible people that work here I pray for the people in need of real people with real hearts and souls. ????
Rated worst hospital in Canada n I am not surprised. when people have they're babies here the alert goes straight to cps so I'm advising u if u wanna have ur baby delivered. Don't come here
My name is becca. I was here recentnly pregnant. I ended up starting to bleed. Went to the hospital. I waited 12 hours in the er waiting to see the doctor to tell me if i lost another baby. They ended up seeing me at 12 hours. At 15 hours told me i lost the baby. But also when the doctor came in he said "the baby has no heart beat. But did u ever consider donating blood? (im o-) like im not there for donating blood??????? Like really. I waited 15 hours to find out my child was dead and ur going to ask me about donating blood
Terrible, rude staff! The EMERGENCY ROOM will make you wait at least 4 hours before you could see a doctor. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF ITS URGENT!
My grandfather was diagnosed with aplastic anemia a few months ago. Recently he was taken the ER at the Cape Breton Regional where he stayed for almost 2 days.. he was vomitting, weak and at times almost non responsive. My grandmother was told he likely has the flu or possibly a bladder infection even though they were fully aware of the fact he has aplastic anemia which should be taken very serious. They completely brushed him off and doing what we thought was not enough! There was no urgency and no compassion from nurses or doctors. After being taken to a Halifax hospital he had been seen by 3 different doctors/specialists who were able to give a diagnosis (Which was not a flu/cold or small infection) and have a treatment plan ready all within less than a day. The best thing they did was contact his doctor in Halifax and have him transported to Halifax were he was provided with exceptional health care that ultimately saved his life. Thank you Cape Breton Regional Hospital!
Just had my daughter a few days ago, the Labour and delivery staff are amazing! Thank You for all your hard work! ????
Some nurses r rude . With their education ,school must teach them how to handle patients patiently instead of teaching them « Canadian triage Law » .one nurse was teaching me Canadian triage law .. I am immigrant that doesn’t mean you are going to teach me Canadian triage law.. I am patient, not law student .. treat everyone equal .. I returned without treatment. I wl change my city or may be province where my country people living in more ratio & get respect . Nurse Disappointing attitude .
Prefer not to go to this hospital
