As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is quite positive, and it is based on a large number of opinions, so we can conclude that the evaluation is very credible. If people have bothered to give their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Psychologist is classified in the category of Counselor.
Excellent therapist - as well as a personal life coach. I have received great constructive feed back that I find helpful to achieve some of my personal goals . I can highly recommend Martin Pinaud to both individuals as well as couples.
great counsellor who teaches you the right thing. recommended for everyone.
Dr p has helped me overcome some big traumas from my past. He's also helped me with parental relationships, my marriage and situations that come up while raising our children. I feel blessed to have found such a kind, understanding, yet firm (when necessary) counselor. He's basically saved my life! Thanks so much, see you soon!
Not a psychological doctor. I wasn't able to get it covered by my benefits
Martin is a good counselor, but he ghosted for an appointment I made with him. This was awhile ago, but I'm writing this because he needs to be held accountable for his actions. I saw Martin a few times and they were helpful sessions, but then something very stressful happened in my life and I needed some help so I made an appointment with Martin. I waited in his office and waited and waited. After several unanswered phone calls I decided to leave feeling helpless and frustrated that a professional would do this. I then e-mailed Martin from my car. I never heard a response. Nothing, no explanation and no apology. It was unbelievable. Think twice before booking an appointment with Dr. Pinaud. He may ghost you. ****In response to your response, sir....You can try to defend yourself all you want publicly, but I did in fact call and leave several messages on your voicemail as well as wait for you in your office at the scheduled time. It’s my recommendation that you just absorb the feedback and never do it again to anyone else. It was very unprofessional and so is your defensive response.
I had never worked with a therapist previously and honestly wasn't sure if I was going to be able to connect and open up. Still remember how relived I've felt after our first session with Martin. His analysis about the characters in my story was on point and made me want to go through that challenging time with his help. My relationship of 5 years had ended with two days’ notice and very immature handling of my ex-partner that left me with many questions and self-doubt. With Martin's help, I was able to put the pieces back together, find answers to the questions and most importantly understand myself and the other person better. Martin's support wasn't only "here are the tools, go implement". It was based on a genuine interest in helping me process, understand and caring enough that I would find my self-worth. Still working with him on other challenges life is throwing my way and would recommend him to anyone who is seeking improvement in their current relationship or answers about their old ones. Thank you sincerely Martin!
I am psychology savvy and been equivalent of 4 yrs in CBT and psycho-therapy with other well qualified therapists. Martin was right from start where I was at and what I needed. His handouts are actual and pace of exercises spot on with me. Thx Martin. :)
Martin is highly perceptive, intelligent, and straight-forward. He takes a sensitive and practical approach to helping people work through their issues.
I started seeing Martin Pinaud with my partner hoping to repair that relationship, instead the relationship went to the wayside, and I began a journey of repair and relearning how to live. Martin asked me "Did I want to continue the cycle I was in or did I want to break that cycle and live a rewarding life." I chose to live a rewarding life and he has given me the strength to continue to better myself. I believe that counseling is something everyone can benefit from but you need to find the right counselor. Someone who is willing to give you the attention and dedication that Martin has given to me. Part of benefiting from any form of counseling is wanting to learn something and having a willingness to be a better you. Martin is the other half of that equation; an excellent counselor who is really able to pinpoint the issues. His skills are truly a gift.
Dr. Pinaud is an outstanding Psychologist. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Pinaud for just over a year. With his insight and direction he has helped me to look at my patterns, relationships and goals from a fresh perspective. I have experienced substantial growth in all of my relationships and career thanks to Dr. Pinaud's gentle, yet direct, approach to the issues we all face. The results were quick and life changing.
I called this individual based on these all 5-star 11 reviews. Looking closer now, they are ALL just from the past month. So I have very strong doubts they are genuine now! I found a truly despicable, rude and condescending individual, nothing to do with ANY quality other "real people" pretend here in a single line or so. I tried to feed him as much info on a complex situation, in the space of the 30 minutes he offers initially on the phone, to present your case. I asked him to interrupt me whenever he wants and ask me more focused questions, which he did. Sometimes it was hard to hear him (he put me on speaker on his end), and I frequently had to ask him twice is that was an interruption or what? He wanted any answer in either black or white. When, at some question, I tried to explain the best I could, with examples, that I could not say for sure, in my mind, if the situation was either yes or no, he interrupted me in an extreme rude manner "let me tell you how you are: you talk too much" and other stuff like this. I was listening stunned, hard to believe such reaction, when this was the half an hour for. And I never never actually interrupted him or avoided to answer any question. Just a jerk. A big big jerk. Avoid at any price.
I have invited Martin to journey with me as I continue to discover myself. He has been able to bear witness to my struggles and triumphs and hold a space that was respectful and encouraging. He speaks his truth while maintaining integrity. I appreciate his way of engaging and his ability to create a safe and supported environment. He has helped me to connect the dots so that I could experience that ah ha moment. I would recommend him for individual and couples counselling. Sherry-Lynn
I have been using Dr. Martin Pinaud's counselling services for a few years now - both as an individual and as part of a couple - and besides the fact that he is local, he is personable, professional and passionate about delivering a supportive and results-oriented service to his clients. He is an effective clinician and provides practical tools as well as a safe environment with compassion. He has helped me tremendously over the years; to clarify my position as an individual in relationships, as well as help me to gain independence and strength. I would definitely recommend Martin to others who are seeking excellent counselling and noticeable results. I have made several referrals over the years, and will continue to do so. Martin is warm & friendly while maintaining professionalism in his interactions. I can't recommend him enough.
I have visited Dr. Martin Pinaud's since four years ago when I was going through job changes. Martin helped me to positively deal with my discomforts and fears that surrounded me and continued to impact me after. I liked that he could support me with his feedback as well as provide me with resources for educating myself. He could relate all personal and professional factors that could impact me and helped me to discover myself more so to be able to move forward in a totally different and unforeseen situation. He is effective and practical and backs up his advice with available researches. My journey continues with new challenges that I could not predict, but I am confident in myself and can see myself in a bigger picture. I recommend Martin for counselling with both adults and children.
If you are looking for an honest, straight-forward and responsive counsellor, Martin is the right person for you. His approach to solve your problems is very different from other therapists out there. So be absolutely open-minded when you go to him and trust that he could help you.
Simply the best counsellor in Greater Vancouver. Working with Martin has greatly improved my communication skills, understanding of myself and the strength of my relationship. Cannot recommend Martin Pinaud highly enough.
I feel so fortunate to have found Martin's services on line, he is a very dedicated and gifted counselor. Even from our first session, over two years ago, he has always been able to help me sort through my emotions and get to the heart of the matter, while making me feel understood and acknowledged. He always provides a professional, caring, and confidential safe space where I am comfortable sharing and come away feeling empowered, with the tools I need to move forward and continue to better myself. I have, and would, highly recommend him many times over!
Martin has saved my marriage! After seeing a plethora of other counsellors, that all produced disappointing results, my wife and I were referred to Martin Pinaud. Martin has given us solutions and skills to improve our communication, deal with stress and mitigate relationship conflict. He supported us for years, through 2 kids, stressful property purchases, depression, frustrating career changes and family problems. He is a straight talker and sometimes gives you perspective that you may not want to hear (I'm the stubborn one) but in the end helps you to amazing outcomes and self realization. Martin is a great relationship coach but the job to put the skills into practice and do the work lies solely on you as a couple, if you are not willing to do the work and put in the time then you wont get the results you are expecting.
Martin is one of the most insightful, helpful counsellors that I have ever worked with. When attending sessions, I actually feel like I'm making progress (rather than just talking at someone). Martin's confident approach makes me feel at ease--like I'm in good hands. I highly recommend Martin and his caring, proactive and enthusiastic approach.
The worst counselor I have seen; deserves no stars. First of all he has two fees 130 if you pay cash and 140 if you pay any other way. He didn't tell us this, we found out because he made a mistake and charged us 130 once and when I asked him about it, thats when he told us about the two prices. We went for couples counselling after the birth of our child...a stressful time for anyone. We made that clear at the beginning (that we were in crisis ) DO NOT GO AND SEE THIS GUY FOR COUPLES COUNSELLING We walked out of there fighting every session and worse than how we went in. We have since been seeing someone else and we are doing well. We told our new counselor about our experience with this guy and they were shocked. In couples counselling you should not just see one separate and not the other. You either see them together or if separate then see them both separate. His method caused us to turn on each other. That is when I found out that there is no regulation for counselors in BC which is why I am posting this. HE IS A COUNSELOR BY THE WAY NOT A PSYCHOLOGIST so I am not sure what psychological services he offers. If we had stayed with this guy, we would for sure be separated. We saw him six times of which he saw my partner alone twice. He then saw us again together and did not ask to see me (even when I asked him if he wanted to see me and he said no). He then zoned in on me after talking to my partner for two sessions and when I became defensive (because he only seemed interested in my partners perspective even though I was paying!), told me that I was the problem and he couldn't help us if I didn't accept that. He essentially pitted us against each other instead of helping us through our tough times. I later found out he told my husband to "run" (I was 6 months post partum). Oh and by the way he doesn't believe that after you give birth, your hormones affect your emotional state....that it's not an excuse for being sensitive and emotional. He is a ZERO on the compassion scale. If there was a regulatory body for counselors in BC, I would report this jerk. Trust me there are a lot of qualified couples counselors out there. This guy is not one of them. He might be ok one on one (I can't attest to that) but he is awful for couples.
Martin has helped us to maintain and enhanced our relationship through his professionalism and skills. By being straight forward, calling a spade a spade and challenging us to be accountable, honest and willing to make required changes through his respectful and courteous approach. We thoroughly enjoy going to Martin and look forward to seeing him often. We highly recommend Martin's services to others. Jack and Veena
Martin gave outstanding attention to help me resolve my relationship issues. He respectfully challenged my thinking, supported my intuition, and I am now in a better place. LLR
I first saw Martin four years ago and he helped me tremendously through a difficult relationship. Many of the breakthroughs I had then resonate with me today despite being in a different and much more fulfilling relationship. I have recently gone back to see him again to improve my overall mental wellbeing and am reminded of how well connected he is to his clients and how easy he is to talk to. Martin takes the time to discover the root of his clients' challenges and provides them tools to face the next day with confidence and self awareness. I have recommended Martin to a few friends over the years and will continue to do so.
Wasted time, money and made the problems worse.
I have been a patient of Martin's on and off for close to 5 years. Over this time he has helped me deal with and develop a deeper understanding of PTSD, 2 separate sudden and traumatic deaths of family members, as well as the dissolution of an unhealthy relationship. He has made himself promptly available during a few urgent crisis situations. I have learned to cope better with various challenges and get to a happier and stronger place. With his help I have also been able to improve my interpersonal communication skills and react in a healthier manner in challenging times. My experience with his compassionate yet direct approach enables me to recommend him with utmost confidence to people I care for or anyone considering professional psychology services.
Our family and extended family have consulted with Dr. Pinaud on numerous occasions for diverse issues. Based on our experiences, we wholeheartedly recommend him for a broad range of counselling needs ranging from workplace conflict through interpersonal and family challenges. Martin is an excellent listener, empathic, reflective, gentle and empowering. He has a no-nonsense directive approach that guides one along a path to better understanding of the issues which in turn helps the client to plan and to act accordingly. We have never felt judged by Martin Pinaud; instead we have felt understood, empowered, and refocused on the tasks ahead. We recommend Dr. Pinaud without reservation.
Martin provided a great service for me when I needed guidance. Martins calm, non-judgmental approach allowed me to grow as an individual. I did refer Martin to a friend and will continue to do so.
I have been working with Dr. Martin since January 2018. He's been extraordinarily helpful in assisting me work through anxiety for both personal and professional issues. The impact has been phenomenal; I feel less anxiety in dealing with some significant work-related stresses, which has in turn, allowed me to excel in ways beyond my imagination. The work we have done has greatly improved my relationships with my family and I feel overall happier in all areas of my life. Martin's approach is practical yet insightful. I appreciate the knowledge and insights he has shared, and look forward to continued success. Thank you Martin!
It has been a pleasure to have been able to meet and work with Martin. So often we seek the advice we want to hear in life. Martin’s approach is honest and authentic, and he provides the critical tools needed for support in many important areas. Thank you Martin for your genuine kindness and client care. You are doing incredible work for our community and we are fortunate to have you.
My family and myself have worked through relationship issues that surround anxiety, communication and even real and monetary estate issues. Martin is a highly skilled individual with a no-BS approach. If you are open and honest, and put the work in, you will move forward positively in your life and with whatever issues you're facing. Good sense of humour too and far from waspy or dry like a lot of counsellors. Highly recommended.
Dr. Pinaud is a truly kind and compassionate person. He has helped me regain control of my life and relationship. His patience and realistic approach are second to none! I cannot thank him enough for his help!
Martin is an exceptional counsellor. His non judgemental strengths building perspective, and ability to get to deep insights have helped me in my many life transitions and stresses in the years we have worked together. Highly recommended!
