I have been seeing Rick for several years now and between my back spasms and neck issues he could barely touch me. Rick started our first session without even touching my back. He went over my entire back with his hands hovering above and directing his energy into me. I know it all sounds very strange, but after he was able to massage my back and my spasms were gone! It has been a long journey with my friend Rick and I am pleased to say that he has helped me tremendously along my path to wellness. Rick never judged or scolded me for being overweight or not exercising, rather he suggested many paths I could take when I was ready to start to feel better. I am now at a much healthier weight and Rick is helping me reach my full potential not only physically but spirituality. Rick is kind, he listens and is a veritable gold mine of knowledge in regards to his profession. The fact is that Rick understands and has studied so many facets of healing, massage and spiritual well being that he puts all of these disciplines together to help his clients! In 2013 I was having difficulty walking. My knee locked when I was sitting and there was always pain in my hip. One doctor told me I probably needed knee surgery. I was given and MRI and told yes, my knee was not good. Fortunately, I was headed to New York and had an appointment with the head of surgery at the athletic centre in NY. He looked at the MRI and said my knee was fine; however, it appeared that at some time I must have cracked the bone in my hip. He continued to explain that the muscles at my hip were working to protect my hip and this would also generate tightness to my knee. The surgeon's advice was that rather than do surgery right then, I could delay hip surgery for 2-3 years if I had a great massage therapist. I returned home and went to a massage therapist who was working at my chiropractor's office. Rick Brandl is knowledgeable regarding every aspect of massage and has complete knowledge of every muscle, tendon, bone... in the body and what works together for complete health. Rick began working on my hip and all the muscles connecting it to my leg and knee. It is now 2021 and my hip is holding strong, my knee has never given me trouble again and I have not required surgery. I walk many km for exercise and am pain free. I have also had Rick work on my shoulder which is arthritic and has other ligament and tendon issues and he maintains my shoulder in good working order. Rick has a special ability to pinpoint an area that is affecting the use of another part.
