I contacted Farber in regards to a Consumer Proposal I was advised to inquire about as I was well over my means in debt. I have serious health issues and knew within a year or two I’d never be able to commit to my debt payments and at my age, and health. I contacted the office to inquire and received a call back from Raymond Peake in the North Bay Office who promptly and professionally gave me options I wasn’t aware existed. I was eager to start the process and get the help he was offering and that I desperately needed. Raymond and I went over my finances and within a day he had the answer, an extremely low payment plan, and short period of time. When we were done I owed a fraction of the debt I owed, I am forever grateful, got to keep all my assets as this is not a Bankruptcy and to be paid in a short period of time. With this CP, I was introduced to Chisty Gee, a councillor to which I was required two sessions to complete my Proposal, Christy had so many good tips for saving money and building a savings fund, greatest little lady ever. Throughout this process, at NO TIME did these two people make me feel like I was abandoning my responsibility , they were Professional, easy to speak with and they truly understood my predicament. Unfortunately, a rare series of circumstances saw the need to seek help with Farber, and what I imagined would be an embarrassing meeting, turned out to be one of the best decisions I could make at that point. Once entering the Farber office, my partner and I were treated with the utmost respect and made feel at ease right from the beginning, and made a process that I thought would be terrible, quite easy and painless...lol. Raymond in particular, made this quite a seamless transition, and we saw the results of our debt relief almost immediately. As a client, there are absolutely no complaints, other than instead of trying to do this ourselves over a period of a year or more, we actually should've made an appointment much earlier....lesson learned.
