I needed assistance but was originally afraid because therapy is not a part of my culture. I thought that the therapists give you advices, and tells you what to do, or what not to do. What I like is that rather than getting answers, or being told what to do, we look at questions. It's not just to make me feel good, but to challenge me to think, to realize that I have choices, I can choose, not so much what to think, but how to think. So, like, the automatic distortions in thinking that we all have in our life. We did many different things, but the EMDR therapy, CBT, hypnosis, and Polyvagal Approach + worked really well. I understood that the autonomic nervous system was shaped by both childhood and adult events, but.7 Stars (: because I see in a real way that my old patterns of thinking and feeling and reacting have changed for good. I am not just feeling belter, but I could say that I am feeling wiser, as a person, and aside from the changes, I feel like i have new tools, and more important, a new way of thinking about, myself, other people, and the World out there. Thankyou.
