I have been attending Russell & Associates Counselling for the past year and meet with one of the counsellors, Shanna Kelly. I was struggling with anxiety and depression in 2019 and was hesitant to try therapy. It was completely out of my comfort zone but I took a step of faith and went to my first session. That was the hardest step but I’m so glad that I made the decision to go. It took time for me to feel comfortable and safe enough to open up about my emotions, but Shanna has been so warm, helpful and compassionate. She always offers great advice and has taught me many useful strategies for managing my mental health. We worked primarily with EMDR which has been really helpful for healing past traumas. The office is nicely decorated and comfortable with calming and encouraging music playing in the waiting area. There is an adorable puppy for some dog therapy and cuddling before your session which I always love! Shanna’s office has a comfortable couch and window and has a very peaceful atmosphere. I really enjoy working with Shanna and she has helped me so much! Would highly recommend her as a counsellor and the other counsellors working there seem really great as well.
