I almost never leave public reviews, let alone negative ones. My appointments with Dr. Corkum were great, and on a personal level, I liked her a great deal. However… The administrative aspects of this service need to be significantly improved. I arrived for my first initial appointment (a 25-minute drive from my home!) only to be told Dr. Corkum was on leave, and the admin person had “tried to call me.” However, she did not leave a single voicemail, nor did she send an email, despite having all of my contact information. Fast forward to a couple of months later. My appointments went well and I received a diagnosis. Even better, Dr. Corkum told me she could help me get a tax credit if I decided I was interested in applying. She also mentioned that I would receive a written report. About a week after, I contacted the office to ask about when I would receive the report. The admin person told me while they could not give me an exact date, I could expect it in “a few weeks” or possibly a little longer. Well, months and months went by. Most of my follow up emails were ignored. In October 2021, the admin person informed me Dr. Corkum was on leave again. It is now nearing the end of January 2022. My emails are once again going ignored, and to date, the only paperwork I’ve received is a brief “summary” of a few lines, which was sent to my family doctor. The only reason I am leaving more than one star is because of my positive in-person experience with Dr. Corkum. The way the office handles its patients and their needs is another story. These assessments cost hundreds of dollars it’s not OK to toss patients aside just because the appointments have happened.

We seen Dr. Corkum for 4 appointments with a price tag of $1,000 each appointment starting September 2020 ending November 2020. She was wonderful, connected with my son and was really easy to speak to. However after our last appointment in November 2020 we were told that we would get all paper work in 6 weeks. In January 2021 I called the office four times over the month each time leaving a message with no call back. I sent an email in March 2021 and got a reply saying she was on a leave but is back now and trying to get caught up. April 1, 2021 I finally received some of my paper work, the other paper work I was told wasn't a priority to her...even though I paid for these services. This office has no problem making you feel welcomed, take your money and then leave you hanging. Due to having to wait so long for our paper work my son was unable to get the support he needed in school this year. It is June 30, 2021...we have waited 7 months and counting for paper work we were told we would have in 6 weeks. Needless to say we wont be going back for future testing, being left hanging not knowing what is going on and no one answering my calls to simply tell me she was on a leave and then later telling me that some of our paper work isn't a priority to her, completely unprofessional.
