Our son has been seeing Danielle for almost a year and we could not be more ecstatic with his progress. We have been in speech therapy with our son for over 3.5 years. After being with our previous speech therapist, we made the switch to BWLP after a recommendation to work with Danielle who focuses in pediatric speech therapy. There was no "playing shy" the very first session. Our son was instantly interested and felt at ease with Danielle. Every session is engaging and fun. Danielle provides hands on activities and games that focus on his needs and his expressive language has developed so rapidly that everyone he talks to has noticed a huge difference in his speech. After each session Danielle has taken the time to provide at-home work to continue help build his speech skills and overall language ability. Danielle has been truly amazing and we could not have asked for anything better. Thank you so much BWLP!!

Big Words Little People is one of the most welcoming, family oriented resources that we have had the pleasure of working with. Our son (who has an ASD and ID diagnosis) has grown in so many areas since beginning his work with BWLP. Before working with BWLP he was unable to read.... now, not only does he have the ability to read (CVC words sight words, beginning blends and decodable books)... he also has confidence in himself and in his reading! Over the past few years while working with BWLP, our son has also worked thoroughly on; social skills, understanding his emotions and awareness of his feelings and other's feeling, life skills and propositions. He interacts and learns through multiple resources including: text, videos and games. BWLP plans fun, engaging and interactive activities to encourage all of these things. The rapport that he has built with Danielle is absolutely heartwarming. She is upbeat and authentic and so caring. She incorporates things that he likes in his weekly sessions to keep him interested and excited! We could not be happier to have found BWLP and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to work with these wonderful professionals far into the future!

I was recommended to Big Words, Little People by my sister whose child was attending and had seen great results. I knew my 6 year old needed one on one tutoring, and COVID school interruptions were not helping with his lag. They were assessed in January and started twice a week sessions, working with Meaghan. The difference in 6 months has been phenomenal! I couldn't recommend Big Words, Little People more and Meaghan has been so patient with my easily distracted child. Heather even helped me out when I was having issues with my insurance company. Everyone there will go the extra mile to ensure your child is getting the best education possible!

Heather has been working with our 7 year old son who is non-verbal and considered severely autistic. Only a year ago, he was barely able to make word sounds. In the past 6 months, he has made leaps and bounds with Heathers fun and innovative teaching methods and he is now able to identify letters, words and making full sentences! Heather has created a program that’s constantly adapting to cater to his needs. When it can be sometimes challenging getting our son to engage and participate, he is always excited when he knows he has speech with Ms. Heather and gives her his full attention. We can’t thank or recommend Big Words, Little People enough for their attentiveness and giving our son the confidence to use his voice.

Our experience with big words little people was somewhat brief because they were extremely effective in identifying and treating the speech issue and we were discharged once we had mastered the issue. They were flexible with our schedule and discharged us quickly, which was appreciated. Jen Battle connected with our child extremely well (very upbeat and friendly) and knew when to forge ahead and take a step back. Very child focussed and a great space to visit. Highly recommend.

I wish we started earlier with my son, I had a different experience with another speech therapist and i was disappointed with that company. However LPBW has blown my expectation out of the water. Heather worked with my very busy 5 year old son. She kept the work fast paced and matched his energy level. When he lost focus or got too crazy she skillfully redirected him without making him feel like he was "in trouble". He made huge progress in a short amount of time.
