Actually Im not giving a review. I am reading these reviews and they sure are bad for therepist and secretary. Im glad this comment service is available so people can be warned prior to waisting an enormaous amount of money on a worthless therepist or other. I for one wont be looking here if I ever seek help. Thanks to those who posted thoughts. They are all helpful, good and bad.

Although the therapist was kind and attentive, after 20 visits, the doctor did not diagnose that I was suffering from Bipolar Disorder. A psychiatrist diagnosed my Bipolar Disorder after just one visit. I am on the road to wellness now after nearly destroying everything in my life. I would look elsewhere for mental health assistance than Telka Smith.

I originally saw Dr. Barbara Mann at Telka-Smith several years ago while dealing with grief, loss, and transitions. I truly believe she saved my life and that her approach works. It is expensive and there may be a wait list, but it was worth it for me and my family.

Outstanding professionals. They are in high demand though, so don't expect to walk in and see someone. It's worth the wait.

If you are seeking a caring and compassionate skilled therapist then Eugene Telka is NOT the one to go to. He is BY FAR the most rude, unprofessional "therapist" in Peterborough Ontario. He has been skillfully ripping people off for decades. He cannot handle people who come to him in crisis. He is seriously lacking in compassion and if given the chance will misdiagnose a client in a lengthy report. This is not only very incompetant, but also very dangerous for people who have already suffered from years of abuse. Not quite sure how he has not lost his license or not been reported.

0 stars, before you even get in the door the secretary is extremely disrespectful and rude. Her tone is very condescending. That being said they do have a waitlist so i asked for a recommendation to another service provider in town, she stated "she doesn't know of any". LOL. If this is the way you are greeted to these service providers i am thrilled there were no appointments available. Would not recommend these people to anybody. I only give one star because that is the only way i can post this comment, in reality i would give them 0
