This is my first time up in the north, but at this hotel it looks very good in the lobby. The front desk staff are very friendly and even moved our room so we were closer to the front door which is always nice. The room on the other hand was a mocked up double bed but the room is too small for both in there as the beds were up against the wall on one side, and against the heater/air conditioner on the other. I do have to remark that the beds were very hard, in fact I do not recall a time being on a bed that hard in my 44 years.There was an old dirty sock in one of the drawers, and a used snot rag behind the TV which tells me the cleaning crew needs a push in the right direction. The restaurant inside is quite upscale looking, and the staff there were dressed well, but they were also not very friendly or happy to be there. I am giving this a 3 star only cause 2.5 is not an option for below average.

Nicest place to stay in hay river.Theres a workout room in the basement and a restaurant and bar attached. Rooms were clean and air conditioned.
