We hired Elaine Howell for a voice of the child for the courts. Worst mistake ever! Her actions and work were so hideous, slanderous and unprofessional that four different attorneys said they will get her work thrown out of court easily. Elaine Howell did not allow me as the father to participate at all. I didn't have the same opportunity to bring my children as the mother did and Elaine Howell was complacent and allowed it to happen, knowing full well, this was not standard practice and there was no issues to prevent it. Elaine Howell did the voice of the child behind my back without proper notification and did not allow me, as the father to have anything to do with or participate in the process at all, however she was demanding that I pay for it before it would go to my attorneys. Elaine Howell was not supposed to "give an opinion in the report" and she mislead my then 14 year old daughter. My daughter claims that she was told by Howell, it was for the judge only and no one else could or would see it. This was a breach of trust for my daughter and unfortunately she is very skeptical of the legal system now. My daughter was horrified and distraught when the report came back and was told that many people have since read the report (except the judge.) My daughter was so upset she filed her own affidavit with the courts rebutting Elaine Howell, claiming Howell took her words out of context out, misused words and also the report was misleading and vast parts not true. There was language used that my daughter dosen't even know. In the voice of the child Elaine Howell also gave such a damaging and inappropriate opinion towards me as a father without ever meeting me, investigating me or without any proof or allowing me to participate in the process and she admits it in her report. Our legal team had a serious issue with this. Her baseless and admitted unfounded opinions - (Which she states in her report, that she dosen't give opinions) have been slanderous and false. Lawyers have commented that Elaine Howell is not supposed to give an opinion on matters and her actions are of concern and rise for a legal challenge against her since she strayed so far off the norm by only allowing the mother to participate and giving an opinion using extremely damaging terms that my daughter never used. After seeking separate legal advice my daughter and I have a strong case to pursue action against Elaine Howell. Dealing with Elaine Howell was a horrifying experience for my daughter and myself. This is my experience and my story, based on fact, evidence and witness testimony. I would never recommend her services.
