Both my wife and I have appreciated having Damien work out the problem areas that we face. My wife has had a knee problem which Damien helped rectify. In my case, I have a rotator shoulder problem which has required two visits. In both cases, his efforts and skill have made a noticeable difference in both the pain and manoeuvrability I have back. It may not be perfect, but his massage therapy has made a significant dent. Thanks again.

I have gone to Damian many times over the past couple of years and he has been very good. He does a great job, acts professional, and I have never had any issues. One note for new customers which I found it important to know ahead of time is that Damian masters in deep tissue massage and fixing the root problems of your pain, so if you are looking for getting a massage only for relaxation and do not have any pain problems, let him know that at the beginning of the session so he can provide you with a relaxation massage (which he is great at as well).

Often you are left a bit underwhelmed when looking for a deep tissue massage - not the case here. I asked for deep tissue - I got deep tissue. Good to have in FSJ.

Ever since I was a child I've had chronic headaches, and absolutely nothing would cure them. I chalked it up to being active and not treating my body well. Every month prior to getting my first massage I had visited my chiropractor, and I would feel better for a week or two, and then my neck would settle back to its normal stiff state. Summer of 2019 I decided to get my first massage, and I had made an appointment with Damien. After my very first treatment I was 90% better. I have never known what it was like to not have 1-2 headaches per day, until now. Yes, deep tissue does hurt, a lot sometimes. To anyone who has chronic neck pain like I used to, I would highly recommend a deep tissue massage from Damien. It will be extremely tender for a day or 2. But after healing for the first few days, you feel like brand new. For long term pain relief, 10/10

Highly HIGHLY recommend Damian’s deep tissue massage. I have suffered with neck, shoulder and back pain since a vehicular accident last fall... i honestly didn’t think there was much hope for recovery as massage therapy had never been effective for me in the past ...but he brought me back to full capacity so I could work 12 hr shifts and juggle 3 jobs, AND he improved functionality in areas that I didn’t even realize I was still compensating for from old muscle traumas that occurred in my past years as a competitive bodybuilder. I never write reviews but Damian’s work deserves recognition. Ten stars. Hands down.

I was very disappointed with my first session with Damien. I came in for my session early. He was late starting, even though I had filled out my paperwork ahead of time. He gave me a 45 minute massage when I paid for 60 minutes. I tried to explain the issues I was having and he kept cutting me off. I specified the areas I wanted help with on the paperwork and expressed this prior to starting the massage. Ultimately, I came in for a head to toe relaxation massage. He only worked on my back. Near the end of the session, I asked what time it was, as I was confused that he did not work on any other part of my body. When I brought this up, he said he did not review my full chart before starting. I was not relaxed the entire time. The lights were on full and the radio (98.5) was on with lots of commercials throughout. It was very unusual. I feel more tense and stressed leaving than when I walked in. I will not be going back. This was the worst experience I have had and I have seen many massage therapists over many years across the country.

The only one who could fix my back. I’m a hairdresser with an upper back pain. I wasn’t looking for relaxation massage but deep tissue that will fix the problem not delay it temporarily. So if you want to fix the problem I would recommend Damian

Damian is very up front and honest about treatment plans and what to expect. Can it be painful? Yes. It has been, but I live in chronic pain daily and know from years of treatment before that the only way through the pain is through the pain. He will work at it to his best and aim to gain you mobility and function and long term relief in as few appointments as possible. When I went for chiropractic years ago, the treatment plan was 3 appointments per week for 6 months, then down to 2 thereafter. At $60/appointment. It was a huge money black hole and I never found results. Damian straight up considers that shameful and obviously not actually helpful. He wants people to get relief and not need to come back for exact same thing again. Go in there knowing that. Also go in there knowing this isn’t the kind of massage where you get your hair and nails done while you get a light hearted spa massage.... this isn’t fluffy stuff for fun.

Damian is a fantastic massage therapist. It is hard to find a good deep tissue RMT and having tried multiple RMTs in different cities and towns in western Canada, I can truly say that Damian is the best I’ve found! I always make sure to stop by when I’m in FSJ. He focuses on treating root causes instead of just temporary fixes and has helped solve my back and shoulder pains. He is also flexible in scheduling which is much appreciated.
