Karen has been like a therapy midwife for me me through the most challenging experience of my life. I started seeing her right before an acrimonious and completely unexpected divorce, and I feel so fortunate I had found her. I honestly don't know if I would be able to have come as far as I have without her balance of candor, while also intuitively knowing when I require more gentleness. She is not a therapist for someone who isn't ready to do the work and embrace the process of therapy. She will hold you accountable and call you on your patterns that hold you back, and she will also push you forward into new phases of growth and strength. She is a true god send. I cannot say enough about how lucky we are to have her progressive practice here in WNY.

The positive is Karen tries hard to work around your schedule. Yet my experience going to her for counseling was not the best experience. Being told to “get over it” among other negative comments when trying to talk about things that bothered me made my anxiety much worse. I’m hesitant to go to another counselor for fear of being put down again from this experience.
