CPH and those practing at CPH have been offering transgender counseling in Buffalo for 30-odd years now, if not slightly longer. The number of years of experience with this work is obviously robust and well regarded. Their approach is thorough, serving their clients not only for psychosexual/gender counseling, but also with other psychological needs which may complicate gender issues. They address clients young and old, serving children for about as long as they have been around, going back to the days when Tom Mazur was working out of Children's Hospital in the 1980s. Helping children and young adults appropriately through this set of problems, no matter the client's outcome in the end, is a very challenging task which this team is well equipped to meet. They also serve the parents of gender-questioning children who are also facing their own unique set of problems as they try hard to raise their children through difficult times. I recommend CPH highly for transgender-related counseling. They are true professionals. No outcome for any client is pre-ordained, but rather CPH will seek appropriate outcomes for their clients to meet their client's life challenges at any stage of life they need help.

No one will ever answer a phone call. They require cash up front before you get any appointment (not that they'll contact you to MAKE ONE), and they don't take insurance. Edit: they've answered me here, but they are mistaken. I have no messages from them. Maybe it's my phone. I'll call back again during business hours (like last time), and see if I can get help. Updates as things occur.

Danielle is the best. This is probably the best, most comfortable way to get gender therapy. Period.

It's hard to describe the feeling of relief and normalcy that the practitioners gifted our family with at a time when we were all scared and anxious about the future. I knew we had chosen the right place because my young son has grown from a depressed child into a college student, confident and super happy.
