I was referred to Jackie by a friend who highly recommended her and I found her to be incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and kind. Not only is Jackie an excellent listener, but it is apparent that she stays on top on the latest research in her area and is always providing resources and references relevant to what I need and where I am at the time. I came to Jackie because I was very anxious, stressed, and out of sorts both in my job as a teacher and in life. Over the year we worked together in person, she taught me tools that have greatly lessened my anxiety and I feel more grounded as a result. I have benefited from a very positive shift in how I deal with and feel my emotions since I met Jackie. We also did EMDR work which helped me to connect the dots as to my strong reactions and feelings to life situations. EMDR helped me to process past events and see them in a completely different way that doesn't feel heavy anymore. I didn't expect to see results so quickly! As a result of our work together I realized where I was stuck and feel so much lighter moving forward. Jackie helped me to spot many unhelpful patterns and I am doing so much better now. Since Jackie moved to Victoria, we do our sessions over Skype which has been really convenient.

Jackie really made me feel like we were "in it" together. She is so present, mindful and attentive and asked so many interesting questions that really made me go deeper into myself. I feel like I have grown so much since I started my sessions with her and I've had many insights that have helped me to be more compassionate with myself.
