My stepsons both see therapists here. I spend more time with the children than either biological parent and John refuses to speak with me regarding concerns with my older stepson. Eva(ADD/ADHD "expert") evaluated younger stepson for his intake appointment. She told us they do not normally evaluate children for ADHD until 4th grade (stepson is in second) and did not seem concerned by the child's reported behavior issues(violence toward animals, pulling knives on mother/brother, destruction of property, and defecation in pants with no desire to clean himself or concern for what other think.). When asked about questionnaires for child's teachers to determine school behavior and ADHD symptoms we were told that we had to get those from the school and that they office did not provide this things for determining treatment of child. Eva asked what were wanted to accomplish by having stepson evaluated and what we wanted to do after evaluation. We want to have him properly diagnosed, find the cause for behaviors, and receive treatment for mental issues he has displayed. We want to have him seen by a qualified therapist and figure out why a 7 year old thinks it's acceptable to poop and pee in his pants. Why he's pulling knives on people and hurting animals. Eva seemed bothered that we were even there for evaluation. If it were possible, the boys would be going elsewhere. No improvement or guidance from the elder boy's therapist . Younger boy's therapist seems unconcerned with the violence issues.

I've been seeing Joan Bitzer since I was about 5 or 6 years old. She has been a tremendous help for me and my family throughout many difficult periods of my life. The receptionists are kind and helpful and a few know my family by name. I will continue to come here until Joan inevitably retires.

Julie Cadenhead’s have been a great help with my 14 yr old daughter's Anxiety and depression for almost 2 yrs. She has helped her cope and use different mechanisms. I highly recommend her for Kids dealing with anything especially Anxiety. Thank you Ms. Julie!!!

Called to ask if they are accepting new patients, asked me what insurance and I told her, I said it was listed receptionist then said that doesn’t mean anything and hung up on me! I got their number from our insurance company. Hell we can pay cash! But to hang up on someone calling for help!

Went for initial intake and the therapist John seemed okay. He went on about the plan and how he thinks he can help, make sure i make the next few appointments no more then 2week out so we do not lose progress. Then I go for my next appointment, he seems different and ask what i want to work on? I dont know i said. He then proceed to just sit there. I thought he had a direction/ plan. I left the appointment, and felt really bad and useless. I would not recommend this therapist.

I’ve been a patient of Julie Cadenhead’s since I was 17. I really think she saved my life. Concerned parents of teens with anxiety/depression, this is the counselor you want for your children. I’m much happier than I was five years ago thanks to her.

Over charged, still waiting on refund Made appointment in July, for an important issue, had to wait until September AND then told, when in the office for appointment, there was no record of any upcoming appointment . Finding a new place to go

I was told that my son was basically too stubborn and argumentative and to not bring him back after a year. No referrals , just good luck so I told the very nice receptionist to please cancel my appts. Fast forward nearly a month and I receive a phone call that my son has an appt Tuesday. I told her they dropped my son and I was told that that was what she thought she just needed to make sure. Really? So not only am I told to take my son and leave and I’m not given any kind of referrals for any other help but then I’m contacted to be asked “‘ hey we just want to make sure that we dropped you so we can use the time slot.”.. Why not ask the therapist? He's the one that told me not to bring my son back. That is so unprofessional for a mental health office to do. It’s not my job to tell them again when I asked her very nicely to cancel the appts when we were told to hit the road.

Enough good cannot be said about this group of therapists. Each has their own style, and many facets of therapy and needs are covered by the specialists there. I have received good and long lasting help from a family therapist as well as an individual therapist there who have helped me navigate unwanted changes in my life, helped me heal from significant pain, and helped me thrive despite it.
