I've been to yoga classes at Eden Therapy for several months now and love everything about it - the location, the studio and the instructors. Location - easy to get to, lots of parking in the area and afterwards you're right in the heart of things in downtown Courtenay. The Studio - bright and airy, welcoming. She has all the props you might need readily available. Nice touches too such as Thieves aromatherapy to clean your mat. You can handily book into classes online. Instructors - Naomi and Megan have both been great. Excellent feedback on how you are positioning and the ability and willingness to work with any specific issues. I am not experienced and feel comfortable in all my classes so far.

Wow what a place. I have been seeing Krista Eglin for acupuncture therapy and what a relief! Physically and mentally. She is very gifted, knowledgeable about her craft and such a warm and caring soul. I have been in much needed relief from various activities and strains. She has been helping me so much. Go see Krista! I have also seen Layle Cobb for massage, another highly gifted practioner. She has a great touch, and is always asking if everything is ok. Just after one session she has helped out a very problematic area that I have not had help with for a long time. Cannot wait to get back on the table. Wish I could leave more than 5 stars for each of them! I am sure all of the proffesionals at Eden are amazing. Get in there!

Best acupuncture and massage I have experienced so far in the comox valley. Ok, so I should qualify this. I work at this clinic. I like to think I can remain objective, but I am an emotional flesh creature. Having said that, Krista is fantastic. Her diagnostic and treatment skills are the best I’ve experienced so far from a acupuncturist. And today, I had my first massage with Christopher Sherman, RMT. It was the best, full body, flush out my road bike ride and sore work muscles treatment I believe I have ever had. I am so grateful to work with these excellent, compassionate therapists.

I had two massages from Owen, an RMT at Eden Therapy. I am a cyclist and appreciate a muscle flush, especially in my legs after a hard ride. I feel like a pro rider even if I am only an aging amateur! Owen is awesome. I've had many massages over the years, but his were the best. Honestly, I have been reticent to have male RMTs work on me in the past. I'm not sure why that is the case, but I have completely dropped that bias. There is something about the extra weight of male RMTs and the larger hands that feel less "pokey" and more deep. I will definitely be back!

I have been going to Eden on a semi-weekly basis for the last 2.5 months and Naomi has played a critical role in my shoulder rehabilitation. I am an athlete and a mother, and I have found each session a step further in my recovery and rehabilitation process. I went into my appointment after a week of burning pain and stiffness in my neck and the back of my shoulder. Krista used needling and cupping and my pain started to subside. I injured my shoulder, to the point that I could not swim or carry anything above my head. I noticed improvement after every massage treatment by Naomi, and after several months, my shoulder was completely recovered. Eden Therapy is hands down, the best places for a massage in the Comox Valley. I was recommended by a friend, met with Naomi Friesen, and haven’t wanted to stop visiting in the almost 2 years of going. The space is clean, warm, inviting, modern equipment, and up to date with all the practises (Covid and others). Forgot to mention, they take your concerns seriously and that is the most important with any healer/pain management professional you can ask for. Sometimes when I go, it’s nice to be still and zen, and this is the place to do it. Or if your chatty like me, then they will make you feel safe and welcome to do so. I currently go for massage, movement therapy, and now acupuncture. Which has helped me be physically, spiritually, and emotionally present in my daily life. Krista, the new R.ac. is also just as amazing (just to throwing that in as I am also seeing her). I know that the other staff that I have met in passing have all been very lovely as well. I appreciate this place where I can find peace from my chaos, I call my life. Thank you Eden from the bottom of my heart and I hope to continue returning again, and again, and again! If there is any hesitation of who you should pick for your next “pick-me-up” (as I like to call it) service. At Eden Therapy, Naomi Friesen will ask what we want, and once informed, will give it to us in a professional, nurturing way. What sets her apart as a massage therapist is that she will then suggest what it is that we can do to improve our situation. As a person who has practiced yoga for her adult life, and has taught yoga to students and even yoga instructors, Naomi Friesen knows about the importance of movement. Bodily pain can be relieved through massage therapy, but such treatment often addresses a symptom, rather than the cause of the pain. It is through specific movements that we can strengthen the body, and really focus on the problem itself. Although it seems as though the act of having someone improve his or herself through such movement might impact negatively her practice, Naomi Friesen is a true professional who is committed to helping a patient become truly well.
