Went to Dr Charlebois for my botox and filler. Also had some PRP done and he was super informative and gentle. I recommend him, no problem!

I was hoping to not have to travel outside of Cornwall for botox and procedures, so I am disappointed. This doctor is gentle and professional, but I do wonder about the amount and type of cosmetic procedure training he has obtained. If I were to go back, I would ask. Was it a weekend workshop or maybe two workshops, or something more substantial. Having been at other places, I can simply compare and contrast what I have seen others do. I am not a clinician, but I am a consumer who has used services in Ottawa and Montreal. For one thing, he does not ask for a follow-up visit (unless you request) to analyze the effects of both the amount and placement of the Botox. Also, no before and after photos for Botox. How can he understand the effect of the dosage if this important step is skipped? Botox is not meant to be a one-off treatment. It requires follow-up and maintenance. One is meant to have a relationship with their practitioner where changes are managed over time. Otherwise, it is a shot in the dark, and an expensive one at that. Dr. C does place dots on your face prior to injections. At the end of the visit he transcribes these dots to notes - hopefully, and maybe, he has a great memory. Most practitioners would take a photo to aid in this process and add the precise number of units to the documentation (not a summary total) this allows for more accurate follow-up (not to mention bill). A practitioner needs to compare and tweak at subsequent visits. The consumer is left in the dark as he draws up and administers product. How much is used is not shown to the patients. Trust I suppose needs to be there. If the Botox doesn't take, it is not his highly superficial placement of the product, instead it is a factor related to you (your biology - your fault - not technique). I have noticed much product (expensive product) drips down my face. I have had product placed by other practitioners that have lasted the usual 4 - 6 months - not here - I recognize that the human body changes over time but not within a year (i.e., my metabolism of the product should not change drastically in a year). At this clinic, either the Botox doesn't take or wears off in a few weeks, begging the question of expiration of product or inappropriate dosing, or inaccurate depth of needle placement for the client's type of skin (some patients have thicker dermis than others). Placement of Botox takes both skill and artistry. It is recognized that we are all different, ages effect dosing as do many other factors but one would not expect all of these factors to vary differently over a period of one year where the only factor changing is the clinician. Also, the filler is a joke, superficial injections (no canula - straight out of the box with a small standard needle - which is not best practice). Total waste of $650. Topped off in this case with a photo taken at a slightly different angel, so immediate improvement, which was definitely not noticed by me. Very disappointing and how do you argue that one! This was most upsetting. Anyway - I hate to make a negative review, and this is the first time that I have done so in my entire life, but I feel very ripped off and it important to share my experience.

Very professional atmosphere! Love getting compliments about my complexion. Wouldn't use anything but Vivier products on my skin!
