For years, I have sought out help from many people in the field; social workers, psychologists, school counsellors, .etc., but I was never comfortable with them, I never truly opened up, and held back important information. The other times I sought out help, going to those appointments made me feel as though I was doing a chore I was not motivated to do. With Effie, I'm excited for our appointment, and she makes it very easy to open up to her. She knows exactly what questions to ask in order to have you realize your true feelings and thoughts about the situation. I am extremely pleased with her counselling and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking counselling. I have countlessly thanked my friend who recommended her to me because in the short time I've been seeing Effie, I already feel an improvement in myself.

My 9 old son has been seeing seeing Effie in counselling for almost a year now. She had his respect from the beginning and she has helped him sort though his feelings and helped him with a number of difficult challenges in his life. I was going through such a hard time with rebuilding myself after going through a terrible time with my ex and heartbreak. I had completely lost myself and wanted to get back my happiness slowly and learn how to love myself again and this is when I got Effie’s name and decided to meet with her. Our sessions went so well and helped me so much every time we met even if it was just getting out all the emotions build up inside or even giving me tips and certain homework or assignments to do for myself before our next sessions. I am waiting for this pandemic to hopefully be over soon so that I can continue my amazing sessions and keep working on myself. My experience in therapy prior to Effie wasn’t very good, i never really felt comfortable or supported. My experience with Effie was completely different: she is honest, compassionate and VERY good at her job, listening and reading nonverbal cues. I can finally learn how to open up in therapy in order to help myself.
