Overall I had a very negative experience here. I came to one of these therapists for help managing severe anxiety/panic attacks that are triggered by flare ups of some chronic health issues that I'm struggling to get diagnosed, and I was advised by my therapist to avoid seeking medical care altogether to avoid triggering this anxiety. Over the course of a couple months, I was never given any tools to help manage my anxiety when it arises, despite explicitly asking for them at every session. When I finally expressed my overall dissatisfaction with my sessions to this therapist, he essentially told me that in doing so I was continuing my cycle of seeking medical help and leaving unsatisfied with the care I received (which is a frustration I'd expressed to him with regard to the medical system not having answers yet about my health condition). He made it clear that he did not feel I would get anywhere in therapy because of this, suggesting I would just hop from therapist to therapist indefinitely without getting the help I want, and then essentially challenged me to fire him under pretense of "empowering me" to make executive decisions about my health. It all felt like a weird manipulative guilt trip to keep me working with him ("if you fire me you'll never get better - go on, do it"). Now I'm pretty new to therapy, but I'm pretty sure therapists should not use the very problems you came to them with against you. I am not interested in filing a formal complaint or whatever (which I'm seeing as a common response here on others' reviews), just sharing my experience with other prospective clients.

Very bad experience just trying to get info. They are unclear. First there is no waitlist then, oh yes there is one for "just that" (what I was calling about). Then they aren't adding to the waitlist then they won't say when they will be able to help anyone again. I AM SO SICK OF TRYING TO GET HELP IN THIS CITY. Every reference they gave me did not test over 18. Where am I supposed to go???? When I finally get to the end of my rope with all this, you all will be a part of why I will be gone. SCREW THIS PLANET!

I see Courtney, who is a Doctoral Psychology student and she is truly a gift!!! I feel extremely comfortable talking with her and going over my past which is not always easy. Sometimes there’s tears or anxiety and sometimes there’s laughter...whatever it is, she listens carefully and without judgment. I always leave my sessions (three so far) with things to think about, feeling refreshed and hopeful and looking forward to my next session; which has never been a thing for me!!!

Not impressed with the psychiatry at Sandy location. Not once have they sent in the correct prescription. Very frustrating. If I wouldn't have already had medication left as I was getting a new script from this psychiatrist I would have been livid. It's not okay to start a person on a psychoactive medication and have a 4 week gap wait time to get the correct prescription sent in after starting them on a new med. The doctor also sent in a pre-authorization with no information which is pointless. It will never get approved if you don't fill it out. I spoke directly with my insurance and they said none of the symptoms I provided the doctor were listed. So this pre-auth was all for show. Submitted just to say they did, but didn't actually take the time to fill it out properly. Not okay. Get it together please.

Really awful experience trying to access care.

Great experience here. My psychiatrist and therapist seem to actually communicate. Welcoming place for BIPOC/LGBTQ.

This was my first time seeing a psychiatrist in Oregon and my experience truly superseded my expectations. Dr. Katherine Kilkenny is a phenomenal person. Attentive, professional, extremely educated, and refreshingly human. I spent a long time feeling poorly about myself due to mental health issues and the symptoms that come with them. I avoided reaching out for help due to previous experiences with terrible doctors but I’m so glad I pushed past that. Dr. Kilkenny reassured me that she’ll be there every step of the way until we figure out exactly what works for me and will help me manage my medications in a way that I’m not suffering from their side effects as I had last time I was on them. If the other mental health providers there are anything like she is then I assure you you’re in the best hands possible.

Eric Rose was extremely helpful and just a great therapist/counselor.

Slow to respond at first, but then communication was great and they made it really easy to get set up with a therapist. I'm guessing its because of high demand, but overall I've received excellent service.

This organization is really unreliable. My provider didn’t follow up when they said they would. They also charge a really high cancellation fee, even when I emailed them back immediately saying I would rather take the appointment then pay the fee due to being unemployed and struggling financially. They said they filled the appointment with someone else and still charged me the fee. Now I have to figure out how to come up with money I don’t have and try to find a way to get my prescription renewed- a lot of stress caused by a “mental wellness” provider

This place provides poor services, focusing on how to get the most money rather than focusing on providing quality care. They treat their clients and employees poorly (as seen in other reviews and in the ethical document). The owners have been in ethical trouble (which you can see below). Spare yourself and don’t go here.
