Dr. Roberge, has been my Physician/Psychiatrist (better known as a "Therapist" in plainest terms:), for many, many years (10+ years), and is one of my favorites (not too many people like their physicians let alone their Psychiatrist (would have to have one to understand).
In the beginning, I had asked Jean, if we could give an Antidepressant a try, but over a span of 4+ years, I had given 20 + different antidepressant "Powerful pharmaceuticals", a chance (gave each one plenty of time to possibly "work or fail"), and quite a few other pharmaceuticals (from mood stabilizers, benzodiazepines, sedatives, hypnotics), as well, but some people Do Not "Respond" well to meds, only increasing suffering , weight gain, caused more bad than good in my case).
Dr. Roberge, has always been highly understanding of my own Individuality, moods, perception to and antagonists per each "Rx" medicine, we're all different inside, response to pharmaceuticals can be a rather dramatic, enlightening or totally negative response, causing different scenario's to happen for each individual person, no mater how positive or negative results are... {it can be a learning curve for us all to experience "Life", but necessary for us to take initiative in making ourselves better inside, have actual "change" in a positive note, and realize there's always a ray of sunshine in the darkest minds, that if perceived can "enlighten a mind towards change", see a better person "inside", having great willpower can evoke major positive initiative in the worst battered mind, body, soul & spirit}.
Dr. Roberge, has always listened & perceived, what is being portrayed, and has given me the benefit of the doubt, knows that I gave all the effort "every ounce", I had at the time, and he's never once said or made me feel worse than I already did.
Having more than one medical condition also plays part in choosing the right "path" or "stepping stone" or "seed", but some people just don't respond well/at all to med's, so both me & Jean agreed that I'd just "go with the flow", taking each day "as best I could", and almost 20 years later I am a much, much better person without all those damaging pharmaceuticals "fogging my brain & well being", and I owe Jean more than he owes me:)
People are people, nobody's perfect by any means, even a Physician can have flaws (not saying Jean has any flaws by any means, and "I don't judge him"), but once you get to know him & his rather dark humor, then you'll see, that he's not much different than anyone else in this World, and actually does Care, Listen, Acknowledge, Give Good & Sound Advice, is a great personality, a great individual creative thinker like me, and does Well at his Job:)
Dr. Jean_Guy Roberge is my #1 go-2 in my Rolodex, and would have no problem telling someone to give him a chance (Nobody, can say anything about him until you physically meet with him & get to know him before "judging his job skills or personality traits", saying he's no good.
People, cannot just go to one visit and say he's no good, and would be like opening the cover to a novel, reading the first page, then throwing the book down on the ground, labeling it a "useless" book or useless info:)
Dr. Roberge, has helped me to be a better me no matter how dark my moods can be, his visits were worth more value than Gold, that speaks volumes about his ideals & practices of good, right path to greatness within:)
Thank You, for your dedication to patients well-being, JEAN:)
Best Regards,
Jeremy O'Connor
