My A/C died and needed replacing. I got a recommendation from a friend that Len from Temp-a-sure showed was my man for this, and boy were they right. He showed up within an hour of me contracting him, had a quote to me same day, and held my preferred install date for me while I did my research. They only used the best brands, so they can stand behind what they sell. Len talked me out of spending more money on an upgrade I was considering, because it just wasn't going to be of any value to me. The installer, Adam, did an amazing job. Explained everything to me, made sure everything was set up right, and cleaned up. Even my dogs loved him. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs HVAC work, and they will be my go to next time.

Len and his team are fantastic. I called on Sunday and received a call back quickly. They have an automated system to alert you of the timeline for their technician. He was over to our place within two hours and fixed our furnace. He was professional, kind and committed. He communicated with us throughout to explain the fix and cleaned our furnace while there. When I called Len, our AC had not been working for 3 weeks. I have a small child and an elderly house-guest coming for a week and I'd tried in vain to get other companies to come diagnose the problem - they all refused to come out and even look at it, because the unit is on the roof of our townhouse. We'd already had the person who installed it check and he said it was "fine" and it was struggling as a result of the heatwave. We paid him but it was not fine. Len however, called me back only a few minutes after I had left a message. He was appalled at our previous technician's indifference (I liked him immediately!) He arranged everything with me and had Adam come out and do a diagnostic the very next day! We had leaks to the service valves AND the evaporator coils, which had not even been looked at previously. Adam wore clean booties in the house which was wonderful and showed consideration. Somehow, Len and Adam managed to get the right parts and complete the repair the very next day! Of course, the warranty had run out only last year! Len followed up every time that he promised - it's rare to not have to chase a contractor in my experience. Adam was a consummate professional. He arrived on time, was courteous and friendly, went quickly and tidily about his work, explained everything to me (yup, I went up on the roof) and answered all my questions. Both Len and Adam are men of integrity. They keep their word, and take pride in their work. I rarely am able to give such as strong recommendation, but you will not be let down by Tempasure. Whenever we need to buy or upgrade our HVAC systems we'll be using Tempasure because of this experience. Thanks guys, for being great from start to finish and renewing my faith in humanity! :)

Within hours of reading a glowing review of Tempasure on a neighbourhood Facebook group my own furnace stopped working. I called them the following morning. Len was here before noon and had my furnace up and running in about a half hour. Though the fix definitely required the services and experience of a professional, no new parts were necessary and the issues were thoroughly explained. He also followed up later in the day to make sure things were still working. I’ll likely need to replace my furnace in the near future and will definitely call them back.

Top notch service for our furnace. The extension on our house had vents but no air coming out so we were stuck using the in-ground baseboard, which costs a fortune to run. Even the inspector couldn't see a way to get it working. I called Tempasure and Len was immediately on it. He sent Adam to diagnose the problem and within a day we had forced air heating! We couldn't be happier with Tempasure. Highly recommended!

His thoughtful additional comments on the details of my home's water heating and cooling equipment led us to hire him to install a new Navien tankless condensing gas water heater to replace our inefficient electric tank rental. I had previously received a quote for water heater replacement from another contractor and I had been prepared to give the job to him, but Len's product assessment and energy efficiency advice convinced me to change course. Adam performed the installation and was courteous and professional throughout (providing a fun-filled day of entertainment for my 16-month old son). He and Len reviewed multiple locations with me and we settled on one that kept my future basement renovation plans in mind. Final installation was clean and organized. We're very pleased with the process as a whole and will certainly consider hiring Tempasure again in the future.

We highly recommend Temp-A-Sure. Our furnace failed 2 years ago and in the cold in mid December called Len Minuk. Len promptly responded, professionally assessed our home requirements and recommended an American Standard Energy Star 2 stage variable speed 60,000 BTU furnace. It was installed right away (great installation work, cleanup) and the furnace has been very efficient and we have had no problems. Recently however, with our changing weather and a warmer winter, we had a problem with the house humidifier connected to the furnace. New furnace being more efficient wasn't allowing the humidifier to run as often (thus not providing sufficient humidity in the house), since the humidifier was only operating while the furnace heat flames were on. Len promptly came up with a creative solution and arranged for his colleague Anthony to correct it. Thanks again Len for the great service! Very much appreciated!

Our hot water tank sprung a leak at 1 am on Boxing Day, leaving us without water for bathing or dishes. Our previous HVAC company didn’t have the capacity or inventory to help us out. We were desperate enough to contemplate locking into an interminable rental agreement! Thankfully, a friend passed along Len’s name and contact info. He got back to me within 15 minutes, listened patiently to our problem, and talked us through different options — all this while he was on holiday! There was no pressure at all — he didn’t try to up-sell us or even cajole us into choosing his company. A few hours later, he had solid quotes for us, and had figured out how to get us a new tank installed ASAP without having to pay jacked-up holiday-hour premiums. Everyone involved in the process was truly lovely — and vigilant about COVID protocols. About a day later, Hakim came by to remove our old tank and install the new one — without any hiccups, and for even less than the original quote. We’re so grateful to Tempasure — they’re honest, decent, thoughtful, and do excellent work. I have only good things to say!

I came across Tempasure through HomeStars, when our AC suddenly failed. Tempasure is rated 99%, and I can see why. During a summer heatwave, Len came the same day I called, and diagnosed that we were out of freon. What’s more, he let us know that our AC and furnace were too small for our house. A week later, Adam installed a new AC and furnace in about half a day. Install couldn’t have gone any smoother. Adam even brought his own red carpet to keep the floors clean. Len said we would notice a big difference, and he was right. After a dozen years of an upstairs that never cooled down sufficiently in summer (and an AC that ran constantly), I find myself writing this review with a sweater on. So nice to have an even 22 C across the whole house. Tempasure was also competitively priced, based on another quote we obtained. Thank you Len and Adam.

Around 9 pm last night, I noticed that it was a bit chilly in my house and soon realized that my furnace had turned off. I tried to turn it back on, but had no luck, so I turned to my neighborhood's Facebook Group and asked the members for a reliable person who deals with heating and furnaces. Within five minutes, three people private messaged me with the information for Len Minuk's Company called Temp A Sure, and Len Minuk's contact information. While I expect that Len was sleeping, by the time I sent him a message, I immediately heard from him early the next morning, when he indicated that he would definitely take care of my issue as soon as possible. Even though he was extremely busy, Len said he would stop by in the morning to at least take a look at the furnace, and if it was a small repair he would do it immediately, or return in the afternoon if it required more work. Fortunately the problem was minor and Len was able to fix it as soon as he arrived at our house. In fact, Len is clearly experienced in his line of work, as he diagnosed the problem within a couple of minutes and had our furnace working soon after. As the house began to warm up, Len stayed with us for an additional 15 minutes to ensure the job was complete and the problem was completely solved. Len also noticed we were using the wrong size filter and offered to get me one that was the correct size, as it apparently makes a huge difference. It is evident Len cares about his customers and his profession, and takes pride in his workmanship. Len took time out of his busy schedule to come to my home and fix our furnace one one of the coldest days this year, when we needed it the most. We are very fortunate to have found him and are very glad we did. We will definitely use him again if we ever need any of his services.

Tempasure has the best customer service I have ever experienced. My furnace broke down in the middle of winter, I have 3 kids under 5 and an elderly dog. We went for two days with no heat and were told from multiple companies that our furnace needs to be replaced at a cost of 9-10k. We had planned to replace our a/c and furnace in spring, but then with covid we were hesitant about having people in our house. Our furnace blower continued to act up over the summer so we finally decided to replace both in September (also covid numbers were at a lower point now). We chose Tempasure based on their high review ratings, and I'm glad we did. Our main criteria were getting a good a/c and furnace, and great service post-installation (lowest cost was not a factor). We were looking for a medium-sized company (small enough to get good customer service, but not too small where they can't handle peaks), and a company that had been around long enough to establish a reputation but not too long that there were just living on the reputation. So we ended contacting Tempasure. I got an immediate text response from Len, and the next day he came by in person for a site visit. The following day he sent quotes with a couple options (although for us it was just a choice between variable speed and multispeed furnaces), we confirmed on-line on Thursday, and had the installation appointment booked for Tuesday! It all happened rather quickly. We also decided to go with a tankless water heater (we were planning on replacing our tank in a couple years, but just decided to do all three things at once). And also upgraded our thermostat to an Ecobee, ordered from Amazon to get next day delivery so the crew could install. In the meantime read up on rebates, and realized that we needed a pre- and post-install visit from the rebate folks. Len has his recommended energy rebate advisor company ('energuy') that he connected us with, and they were able to send someone on Friday to do the pre-install visit. The energuy tech was very good and courteous, but that's a separate review :). It did bode well that Len recommended good 3rd parties, especially as it's his reputation on the line too. So on Tuesday everything went off perfectly choreographed. The delivery guy dropped off the new a/c, furnace and tankless hot water heater around 8:30am. The install crew showed up on schedule at 10am and got right into it. The old stuff was removed, just in time for another guy to come by with his truck to pick up. The crew were very professional and polite, and just focused on getting the job done. They also wore masks the whole time in the house (and good masks too, not cheap ones that fall off your nose). Also, and this may sound silly, or maybe just our poor experience with a large company that rhymes with nevercare, we appreciated that they didn't ask to use our washroom. It was a full day to do the install, the crew have very long days. But they got it all done by 8pm, including clean up. Overall very very impressed by the installation. The a/c and furnace itself are sooo much better than our old entry-level stuff, just as Len said it would be. (which to be honest i thought at first was more sales talk from Len, but it actually is much better). The new furnace looks Tesla-inspired in the design, and our humidifier (which is still our original one) looks rather tired by comparison. We are building a gym in the basement with everything exposed so the look was important to us. So far it's just the install (obviously we haven't had to call for service yet), but I'm glad we chose to go with Tempasure.

This review has taken me a while to write as I tried my very best to work with the resource at Tempasure to get what I needed. I originally called Tempasure for a service call and to inspect some radiator/boiler issues I was experiencing. Though my request needed attention, it was not an emergency. In speaking with the resource, we scheduled someone to come in and look at my issue. The technician had to reschedule a couple of times and on the final appointment, was late. A bit of an inconvenience but nothing that impacted me greatly. I had my discussion with the technician, he gave me some information to think about and said I would get a few quotes to decide which direction I wanted to take. All of this was taking place in Sep 2021. After about a week or so, I connected with the resource to see where my quotes were; there was a lack of communication between the technician and resource and my quotes weren't made (all ok still; this wasn't an emergency). I followed up four times (!) for my quote but my emails were falling on deaf ears (I also confirmed with the resource that they were getting my emails). On the flip side though, the resource was quick to send me my invoice (~$200) for the technician to come on site and ensure I paid the bill (which I did for the technician's time and investigation). I was less concerned about paying the $200 but very much upset that my request for a few quotes was just ignored. It is unfortunate that this was the situation with Tempasure; I gave up by mid-late Nov 2021 chasing for a quote. I can assure you I will not be using their services for when I need to replace my boiler and radiators in the spring/summer 2022. I wish I had a better experience (given the positive reviews on both Google and HomeStars) but unfortunately, I have to share my review here and not recommend them going forward due to the poor customer service I received.

Though the initial interaction started off poorly with Tempasure, I can truly say that after my discussion with the owner over the misunderstanding, that everything after has been great and as expected (especially for a referral). Update 1: The owner Len has reached out to me and we have had a discussion on what happened. It appears to be an oversight and we have worked out a deal so I have changed my rating to reflect this positive interaction. They were recommended to me by someone who got a big job done by them. I had a heating issue for which I thought they could help. I was told that they were responsive to emails but there were absolutely no responses to several that I sent. It's not too cold yet so I let it slide a couple days before I call them. They took my call but pretty much from the get-go it was apparent that they didn't want to help but didn't out right say this. Instead they tell me to send them some more info and that they would let me know if they could help. It's been over a week without any call back or replies back. I am very disappointed in their customer service and professional courtesy for a potential customer.

Had called Len about our furnace which stopped working on a Saturday. He showed up a couple hours later and quickly discovered that our 25 year old furnace had seen its last days. He quoted a replacement and was 40000 btu smaller than my existing. He said it was all I needed based on the size of my house. I was impressed that he didn’t try to sell me a direct replacement as I wouldn’t have been the wiser. The installer Adam showed up a couple days later after our energy audit was done and was very thorough with the job. He made sure everything was cleaned up and working perfectly before he left. Overall very happy with my new furnace and the work the Tempasure team has done!

I noticed my AC broke down early June, 2021. I called several firms immediately and THAC was the first to respond (a few others did not even bother) and Len (owner) arrived several hours later. After diagnoses, it was obvious due to wear and tear (more than 25 years), replacement would be the best option and the permanent solution. As my furnace was very old (came with the house when I bought it 30 years ago), I decided to change it also. After some negotiation, we settled on a price and another gentleman, Adam, replaced them a few weeks later. All went well and no mess whatsoever. Both are working well and I am completely satisfied with their performance. I checked the prices of the AC and furnace online, and had no complaints about the markup. Everyone needs to eat, right?

The only option they presented was a full furnace replacement which ranged from 3-5000$. I got another diagnostic performed by a licensed technician who was able to correct the issue. After contacting Len and advising of the solution, they advised I use that contractor moving forward as they were concerned that contractor was not following applicable legislation with regards to HVAC. As a layman homeowner I look for the most affordable option when doing repairs in my home, especially where licences trades are required. Unfortunately Len was unable to meet this need, but refunded my diagnostic fee anyway. Excellent business practices and would recommend them.

I want to add to my earlier review. This company installed a new furnace for me back in September. I recently noticed a loud clicking noise coming from the furnace room. I thought for sure it was an issue with the furnace and I called Temp-a-sure to report the issue. They sent a service technician to my house within 24 hours of my call. Had a great end to end experience with Len and Adam. Had a 12 year old a/c unit fail to cool, and after calling a few companies, chose to reach out to Len to check it out. Len came and confirmed there was refrigerant leaking due to the unit short cycling. Even though I was hesitant to have to replace the entire A/C unit, I believe he provided an honest assessment, as well as a few pricing options. In the end, I decided to replace the unit with a new American Standard model (incl. same branded evaporator coil). After booking the installation, Adam arrived on time, and made it a smooth installation. He had a great demeanor the entire time and was patient with answering any questions I had. During the recent cold snap, the intakes began to badly frost up, at which point I realized all the venting was incorrectly installed. Temp assure is the only company I will even consider using or recommending for any heating or Air conditioning needs. This past summer our air conditioning broke during a heat wave. Len took my panicked phone call at 9:00 at night and showed up first thing the next morning and got it running again. A month later it stopped working again (completely unrelated issue) on the day we were heading on vacation. Len came without hesitation and worked his magic. We called on Len and his team after our furnace died late on New Year's Day. Within a couple of hours of us calling, Len came and checked out the issue and talked us through what our options were (fix Vs replace). He also left us some small heaters to tide us over. By day end we had quotes for 3 different options for replacement and the queries we had asked had been quickly answered. Our new furnace was installed by Ram who did an awesome job! He arrived when he said he would. The installation was very quick and the furnace room is so much tidier as he has moved the jumble of wires and pipes that had been there previously into places that are less conspicuous and less at risk of getting in the way. The furnace has been running for a couple of days and so far does seem much better than the old one. The job cost came in where quoted. I would absolutely recommend Len, Ram and the team for any HVAC maintenance or installation.

Christmas Miracle - fixed Navien tankless. My Navien NBC 240 that heats the water and provides heat for my house sprung a massive leak when the flow sensor broke. I called ‘the guys in the green trucks’ to fix it ASAP as it was Dec 23 with the Christmas shutdown fast approaching. The service guy came the same day and diagnosed 4 parts that were needed. The next day I heard back from the company that the Flow Sensor I needed was not available in Canada and they would not be able to get it from California until Dec 27 making it a cold Christmas. A friend heard about our dilemma and recommended I give Len a call at Tempasure to see if he had the part. I called Len late on Christmas Eve to explain the problem, sent pictures and the diagnosis that was given by the other company. He arranged to get the flow sensor from his supplier that evening and arranged to have one of his technicians install it on Christmas Day. Len continuously sent me updates on what he was arranging and when I could expect to have it fixed. He also offered to drop off some space heaters if we needed any. Thank you Len for your Christmas miracle with getting our heat and hot water back when others dropped the ball. Not only did you provide EXCELLENT customer service but you saved us money on parts as we only needed the flow sensor and not the other 3 extra parts the other company recommended. I will use Len and his team at Tempasure in the future and definitely recommend him to anyone looking for heating and cooling experts.

When your furnace suddenly gives up, not only your body, but your mind gets freeze up as well. You need to act fast, but you don’t know how… facing such a big expenditure, you need a trustworthy advisor. In our case we were lucky to call Len. Len made sure that replacing the existing central A/C condenser and evaporator was done within the specifications of our non-standard system (townhome build). He took the time to answer my questions on matching A/C to system, called me to make sure things were clear and there were no misunderstandings, and was ready and available to discuss alternatives and options. He talked me out of immediate expensive changes to only address the necessary.
