I have had the privilege of working with Ash for the last couple of months on issues ranging from self- esteem, anxiety & OCD. I work as a helping professional myself and struggled to find someone to talk to that aligned with my practice & overall approach in life. After months of draining counselling sessions with other workers who were not the right fit, I met Ash and it was awesome. He is supportive , helpful, flexible and kind. I am constantly having to change my appointments to accommodate my crazy work schedule and he always just makes it work. I recommend Lumina Counselling to everyone on this planet! I saw Ash a couple of years ago and had the most incredible experience and results with the therapy Ash practices. He was the 5th professional I had tried over the previous 5 years! I only had two sessions with him and I went from having paralyzing anxiety and panic attacks to being a balanced and healthy me. It sounds too good to be true but it's amazing because we FIXED my anxiety. I felt (and still feel 2 years later) empowered and in control of my thoughts, and have a beautiful perspective of what my anxiety was. With the other therapists I saw, I was talking so much about my life without getting any better and I found that to be so frustrating. I am so thankful I met a professional that wanted genuine results for me as much as I did and knew exactly how to teach me to independently manage my mood in almost no time-maybe not the best business model, Ash! Any time I have a little tingle of anxiety or a bad day that I can't shake, I use the tools Ash provided to cure it in less than 5 minutes. This was such a bitter sweet experience because I loved working with Ash, but we fixed my anxiety in two sessions and I've never had to go back. Thanks, Ash!!

I was a bit hesitant about going to see a councillor but Ash has been very helpful and always takes the time to listen without judgement. He makes sure to review your file before arrival so you don’t have to start from square one every time. His office is a nice and calm environment without any distractions. Appointments are super easy to book and he will make sure to fit you. I highly recommend Ash to anyone, it may be hard to take that first step but I am happy I did.

Ash, the counsellor - owner of Lumina, greeted me warmly when I arrived for my first appointment. He kindly offered me a choice of water, coffee or tea to welcome me. I felt relaxed and was eager to share why I had come to take counsel with him . ( Confidential , of course .) Ash asked really good, appropriate leading questions to which I gladly replied. Ash has a pleasant, friendly, non-intimidating style of questioning / interviewing which moves the appointment along. I don't recall any moments that lapsed into awkwardness. Ash is a very kind man who isnt in the least bit judgemental. He listens super well and is genuinely concerned in helping his clients in any way he can. He is very easy to talk and open up too. I would recommend him to anyone who feels like they could benefit from a session or two, regardless of how big or small the problem you may be facing is. His techniques are unique and help me a lot.
