Very bad service not answer the phone

Dr Ijaz is good. The best neuro Ive been to in Regina. He used to have a great receptionist who was very caring and helpful but his new one is very cold and rude. Also it takes a couple days to get RX sent to pharmacy.

I was refereed to Dr. Ijaz from my family doctor. I was in a car accident 2 years ago and suffer from serious chronic pain in my spine. The pain causes severe migraines leaving me in crippling pain daily. My doctors told me there was nothing I could do, live with it. I asked to get seen by a neurologist. He was the most polite, well mannered man I had ever met. He listened to my condition, he asked questions and he gave me hope. "There is a lot that hasn't been tried, let's do this. I can make everyday bearable again." Yes, his receptionist is cold and distant but you aren't there to see her. I would recommend my neurologist to anyone in a heart beat

Terrible doctor. He didn't listen to me at all. Prescribed medication and sent me home. Didnt fax my prescription to the pharmacy until i phoned 2 hours later. Still took him another hour to fax it over. Screwed up the prescription. A month later and 3 different days of phoning in and trying to get the prescription fixed or to talk to him and nothing. Get a different recommendation if you can.

When I call for a prescription refill, the receptionist causes me more stress than she should. By trying to “be intelligent”. Makes me want to go see a different neurologist, because I don’t need the added stress.

Both Dr Ijaz and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and listen to your issues very well before giving advice.

Dr Ijaz is not a bad doctor. His receptionist, on the other hand, is very incompetent and should not be dealing with the public. She always seems to be on the "other" line when you call. I have left messages, on several occasions, and have not received return calls. Today there was a message stating that the caller should press '0' for assistance. When I pressed '0' a gentleman answered and he didn't know who Dr Ijaz was. Obviously she had the phone forwarded to the wrong number. I worked in Healthcare for 40 years and dealt with the public every day. I never treated people like Dr. Ijaz's receptionist.

Dr. Ijaz is decent, communicates with his patients which is quite rare. HOWEVER his staff is completely unqualified to be in the Healthcare industry. She is rude beyond rude. My father passed away suddenly, 4 days after having a EEG. We called to see if we could have the results explained to us. Perhaps there was a clue in that test as to why. Shockingly the receptionist did not express ANY condolences nor did she offer to send us the report. Or offer any help at all. Why are individuals like this permitted to be in an environment that needs, deserves care, compassion and empathy.
