My mom has been having episodes. She had a bad one two nights ago. It was so hard on her that she volunteered to go and talk to someone professionally. Very rare for her as she is very private and independent. I researched places for her and chose Meghan because of how friendly and comforting her write ups seemed online. She contacted them first thing in the morning and the response she got was downright cold and clinical. They didn't say a single word of comfort to her, no friendliness. They just told her how busy they were and how Meghan wouldn't be able to see her until Friday at 7pm. When you have explained to a THERAPIST office that you are heavily suicidal they should know Friday is a long time away. She told them she didn't think she would even make it to Friday.... they said they were very busy and already doing everything they can to help her. This is on a Tuesday at 7am. She can try a different therapy office that might be "better suited" for her though. They haven't even met her and they were already saying they didn't want her. These people shouldn't be allowed to deal with the mentally ill. I truly cannot believe how unempathetic they are. They should be ashamed if this is how they treat the mentally ill. Also, this session with Meghan was going to cost 120$ plus hst.... you are paying these people so much and they aren't even going to be kind to you. She would have had to fight to pay them over 120$. The mental health system is truly terrible. I find booking my dentist appointments far friendlier than this place. They were so unkind and only cemented her idea that no one will help her. Thank to you guys she said she would never try to reach out to someone again - the experience was too unpleasant and cold for someone already feeling so alone and stressed. You need to fix your customer service or get out of the business because for a group of therapists you are doing more harm then good... at least from our end of people who are mentally ill and actually need help. These people don't know what we need.
