The first year of my son's life I spent a lot of time barefoot at home. As I was nearing the end of my maternity leave my ankle was swollen and my feet were always sore. I went to my doctor and he attributed my sore feet to wear and tear and he said there wasn't much I could do for it. I wasn't satisfied with this answer so I decided to go into Health Walks to have a foot assessment done. Carrie was awesome and she explained to me that I needed better arch support. She recommended I wear Birks around the house. This saved me feet! I now live in my Birks at home and I make sure to buy footwear that support my flat feet. Thanks Health Walks!

As a retail worker, my feet know the importance of a quality shoe. Long hours on concrete floors are enough to make any foot cry. I've made my last two purchases for work footwear at HealthWalks in New Glasgow and they are always happy to help! Their product knowledge is second to none and even though I usually have a difficult time finding a shoe that works (Size 11, Triple E width), they always have a shoe that works for me! They have a wonderful selection and I would highly, highly recommend.

I can not say enough good stuff about Karey and the HealthWalks team. I saw the Podiatrist, Marcus, and he was very helpful, knowledgeable and I know exactly what treatment I need for my toe. I would highly recommend him! I also bought a pair of Canada Toe Warmer winter boots last year and I absolutely love them. Warm, comfortable, supportive and they go with everything. The only thing I was sad about was having to put them away for the summer!

I was at NG clinic for foot orthotics fitting on Weds. While I was there a gentleman arrived who did not have an appointment. He was treated respectfully and with such grace by the front staff even though he could have been turned away and was definitely having difficulty following the covid -19 protocol that he was gently asked to follow. Challenging times handled very professionally. Well done.

I have been a server for 42 yrs , 3 yrs ago I was having problems with my feet . I went to healthwalks and they suggested birkinstock insoles . Well let me say I have not had sore feet since , they are a godsend , I also told some coworkes and friends and they went and bought as a matter one girl I work with bought 3 for all her shoes lol . would recommend highly

Typical Pictou County Independent Business - Useless/Garbage/Crooks. Don't waste your money going to them. I went in, with a prescription, for insole orthotics. Carrie tried to offload nothing but her garbage on me, and then turned around and charged $95 for her "consulting fee", and most likely also collected another fee from Nova Scotia Health Care. Complete bullsh!t. I then went down to Soles in Motion and have now ordered my orthotics. They are much more professional at Soles In Motion in Dartmouth. Another Pictou County business lost out on a $400 sale. No sympathy for them whatsoever.
