You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is really positive, and it is founded on a very high number of opinions, so we can conclude that the valuation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Psychiatrist is included in the category of Mental health clinic.
What a waste of time and effort. Based on surveys from a public school teacher, my child’s previously diagnosed ADHD problem is being ignored with the possibilities clinic because she isn’t rude enough for attention and her teacher didn’t fully agree that she has a problem. Why bother with the surveys if your going to base the outcome on the teachers opinion who had 30 students to attend to and who Is NOT a psychiatrist! - Nice people though
Can you imagine paying nearly 2000 dollars just for a diagnostic assessment?
Dr. Michelle Pierce at the possibilities clinic is very result oriented. Premies especially can be a difficult puzzle but I am confident with a result oriented clinic like this, this puzzle can be solved fast, efficiently and open up unlimited possibilities for my child’s future immediately. I feel as if clarity is just around the corner, especially after reading the other wonderful reviews. This year my son age 13, all of the sudden had 2 altercations in the school yard within a 30 day time frame in September 2019. My son is a likeable kid who seems to be adored by many of his peers and teachers, so this was alarming. My son was a premie born at 26 weeks gestation and had been diagnosed by his previous family doctor Heather Foster with ADHD. My son has been getting extra help at school for the past 5 years with Math & English, and he always passes and sometimes fares well with an A here and there, but this year seems to be his worst academically and socially. As with most premies, they are a puzzle that must be put together. Here at the tender age of 13, his new family doctor Ipp Mosche and doctor Michelle Pierce are continuing this challenging puzzle. My sons school advised me to seek a specialist’s diagnosis as the family doctor diagnosis of ADHD will not merit any additional assistance in high school. Doctor Ipp was quick to recommend the possibilities clinic, and the clinic itself was quick to respond to my urgent matter. The clinic is conveniently located in a safe Central Toronto neighborhood. The office is clean, kid friendly and spacious with lots of seating in the waiting area and many hooks for your coats etc. The secretary was very friendly and we did not wait very long for Dr. Pierce. The first visit was extremely theroux, it was about 1 hour and the doctor listened attentively and asked many pertinent questions. I knew we were in good hands and a lot of my anxiety about my son and this big puzzle began to dissipate. She took a few pages she requested from his student records and requested to see us for our follow up in the new year, in which she would talk to my son more. She requested we follow up with Dr. Ipp to have my son do a new sleep clinic test, as sleep apnea could be one variable that is affecting his studies. I really appreciated her immediate direction even though the assessment period was not completed. From our first meeting, Dr. Pierce was very result oriented. We are excited about all the possibilities my son will have after his assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Cheers to 2020 being full of many more possibilities! Thank you very much, Georgia Vasilios Kavouras Munroe
Thank you to Possibilities Clinic and the wonderful staff here for your care, and efforts. Finding you is a blessing in my life.
I've not had the pleasure to meet any of the doctors or therapists who work here and I'm sure they're excellent at what they do. In late 2019 I was diagnosed with ADHD by a clinical psychologist, after a couple hours of in-person interviews, doing tests on a computer, forms filled out and by my close relatives. My physician told me that getting a creative hobby will treat ADHD. One later appointment with him by phone, it sounded like he was driving his car at the time, so I realized I was on my own with this. I've already been to a psychotherapist, who said I was using appropriate coping strategies. Eight months ago, I contacted The Possibilities Clinic to check if they were accepting new patients, and my physician agreed to make the referral. I spent about 90 mins filling out online forms from The Possibilities Clinic, then later I located all my old report cards and found a day when I could actually focus enough and scan all of them and upload the scans to the Clinic. This took about 6 hours. I waited.... and waited.... nothing from the Clinic. I emailed them, asking if they had received the report cards and the diagnosis of ADHD by a psychologist, and eventually got a reply saying they'd received report cards for gr 1-6. I'd sent JK-university. Again I waited and waited, and nothing for a month. I emailed the clinic asking what's going on and how long the wait list was. Eventually I got a reply saying they were unable to continue with my file due too a missing consent form. They didn't tell me which consent form, nor offer to send it to me to fill out. I replied 14 days ago asking which consent form, and if they could be more specific. As of today, 2021 Dec 9th,... nothing from them. (edit: blood test last week showed everything normal) Dear Possiblities Clinic: Is your goal to be in the business of advertising mental health treatment, then stringing people along, giving false hope? Do you feel this is conducive to promoting mental health? It would be helpful, and honest, if you were to post a notice on your website "We are sorry, but due to overwhelming demand we cannot take on new patients" or something to that effect. thanks
We did not have a good experience with this clinic. The social worker seems extremely uncaring when we expressed misgivings about a therapy group. No refund and no understanding or accommodation. For a business in the caring profession, not a whole lot of caring going on. More of a business. Very disheartening. ????
Unfortunately, possibility clinic misdiagnosed my child. Interestingly, Dr. Algamor diagnosed in 15 minute appointment. Later I learnt that you cannot measure or assess someone complex behavioral traits quickly. Do your child a favor by finding a good behavioral pediatrician who can look at your child's condition holistically.
It's an amazing clinic I did my assessment here and the doctors were great nice and friendly people dr amlgor is a great phsycatric dr markin was a great pediatrician if you're kids need an assessment come here but you need a referral from doctor I got referd to this cilnc by my doctor and I feel thankful thanks a lot possibilities cinlc your the best team and doctors it's also a good clinic for autistic people
Dr. Schmidt is one the most outstanding doctors I have ever had. Caring, concerned, communicates on an understanding level. Finding a new doctor is one of the hardest things a person has to do. I was so fortunate to have found him. Thank you
Dr. Pearce is the coolest and best. We’ve followed her from Toronto Western Tourette Clinic and she is the best Tourette and Tic Doctor in Toronto. In Ontario. In the World!!!!!!!! My son loves her.
Dr. Schmidt empathy and insightful questions were profoundly helpful to me during a difficult time. He uses the time well to help create real change and movement in one's life. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs support, a good listener, and who is willing to do the work - if only they could figure out what it is that needs to be done.
I felt kind of silly walking into the clinic but after having trouble concentrating and finishing pretty much everything all my life, I was ready to give it a chance. I thought ADHD was something that affected kids but Dr. Young went through my symptoms carefully and it was pretty obvious ADHD was the problem. I’ve been easily distracted and found it hard to finish things I start. I knew it was a problem when I was in school and it remained a problem when I started working as a computer programmer. I just couldn’t sit still and concentrate on my work. I can’t believe it took 30 years for someone to finally diagnose my ADHD and help me.
My son was referred twice to this clinic by our family doctor.During the first referral after almost over a month of waiting to hear back from them,I've got a phone call from our family doctor's office saying they tried to reach me over the phone but they could not. This is complete nonsense as I was never contacted by them .Second time we got referred because my son's behaviour did not improve when he started grade 1.This time they sent me two questionnaires, one to be filled out by a parent and another for my son's teacher. After completing all that, I NEVER EVER heard from them.I am startled with this level of unprofessionalism.Save yourself some time and book assessment somewhere else.We did ours within 2 months at Bloorview Holland and I wholeheartedly recommend them.
They didn't in the end treat me and made suggestions for other places because it wasn't what they were specializations in but I appreciate they tried and were honest on what they couldn't do.
Amazing clinic. I did my due research and looked closely at all the options that were available and I decided on this one. Angel is a gem and was amazingly helpful. Kathleen kept us on time. I would say that the traffic around the area is bad but reasonably central. A special shout out to Dr. Schmidt was so helpful in giving us just the right advice and was amazingly calming.
We have been coming here for nearly 2 months and are happy with the services thus far. Very nice and helpful staff. Knowledgeable counselor with great resource for your family.
When we found out the school board has a six month waiting list for psychoeducational testing, we looked around and found the Possibilities Clinic. We were also able to get our daughter a Learning Disabilities assessment quickly and her dyslexia was finally caught. Possibilities did a great job and made recommendations to the school. She started treatment right away and didn’t fall further behind in her reading. Everyone there is so nice. My daughter wasn’t intimidated at all. It’s a friendly place where the staff is professional and efficient. I recommend Possibilities Clinic.
I am very very picky. It's been very hard to find good help for my son who has Attention Deficit Disorder and mild Aspergers Disorder and Tourette's. Dr. Pierce was the only one who was able to make an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan for him. Now, don't get me started on the Ontario Government and getting him the help he needs.
I figured my daughter was just a daydreamer but her teacher thought she may have ADHD. I googled girls and ADHD and kept getting articles by Dr. Doran Almagor. When I found out he was right here in Toronto, I got my DD a referral. It’s hard to find a lot of information about girls and ADHD online since their symptoms are often so different from boys. We spent lots of time with the psychologist and got her the help she need, exploring options for helping DD succeed. We have managed to boost her concentration and emotional regulation through the workshops and cognitive behavioural therapy. I was really pleased that these options were presented to me and everything we’ve needed so far has been under one roof.
At first I was very hesitant to visit a mental health center for my anxiety and panic disorder, but without any doubt Dr. Magor has been very helpful and helped me cope up with my stress and anxiety problems. Thank You so much Dr. Magor and Sarah.
Best physicians and professional staff. nobody knows their medications and therapies better. They treat my ADHD and my kids. Everybody! But the office needs some better furniture and lights and the physical space is NOT inviting. Bathrooms and the building in general bad too.
Went right to source of problem without wasting time. Our son goes to UCC and they suggested this and it worked well for doing things as we expected and to a very high level.
Dr. Al Magor was a through professional and the assessment very complete. I was very happy with the fact I was able to obtain the best medication support but also a coach that helped me with strategies for beating ADD. All good. I did though have to try several medications to find the right one. The first one caused way too much weight loss, the second one didn’t work, but the third one was like a charm. I think though that that is just the process of trying to find the right medication and there doesn’t seem to be a way to know which one will work in advance although that would be good.
Can’t say enough good things. The coaching for ADD has really helped me. I don’t want medication though.
We found everything great here. The staff are very kind, gave us lots of options and helped resolved the issues.
Best place for Attention Deficit Disorder
I am an adult with ADHD and very involved in the ADHD community both in Toronto and also in the United States where I was a long time resident (involved with CHADD both nationally and the local chapter). During my lifetime I have had to overcome hurdles in accessing good care. This clinic is the best I've found in Canada. Dr. Doron Almagor is the Chair of the national association of ADHD standards and is very scientific in his approach and very nice and approachable. I was also able to get very helpful coaching from Dr. Debora Levine.
Exactly what I was looking for! Supposed to be the best.
I found it hard to make appointment but in the end it was worth it as I compared the ADHD assessment and treatment to people that went at other places and mine was much better. I don’t understand why they make getting in hard and screen you and don’t seem eager to book you in a hurry. Love the Dog!!! Friendly tip try the Japanese Dessert place downstairs in the building it’s hidden and great.
I LOVE Dr. Edwards who has helped my son overcome his OCD so well. She is so organized and passionate and loves to help. She was able to let the psychiatrists the clinic know how to adjust the medication so the two worked really well together one was not enough it was the combined work that saved his life. We went to another psychologist who blabbed and blabbed but didn’t help and she and the psychiatrist were just amazing together. May G-d bless her and her family for all the help she returned our family to normal. Yevarchecha Hashem!
For treatment of severe Tourettes Dr. Edwards and Pierce were like a godsend from heaven. I am NOT kidding. Gone to many places but did not get results. They focused right on the problem. It did cost for but worth every penny. I do hope the LRT gets built soon as the construction in the area is unpredictable. They were always very punctual. Pierce is very funny. I liked the fact that they are extremely knowledgable about medications but have an integrated service in place.
I don't usually fill in these reviews but this clinic is dealing with the needs of children and family. I put in the referral which asks for a lot of confidential information before even speaking to a professional - hence I blindly trusted this group of professionals. More than 3 weeks went by and I didn't hear from anyone so I called in. I explained the situation and was directed to another person. Our conversation ended with the need to consult with another professional and either the person I spoke to or this other professional would get back to me. Almost another three weeks has gone by and still no word. Even if they couldn't or wouldn't offer service, out of respect, they should be calling back to inform of this status. I, as a professional who has worked in the service field, find this very unprofessional, not to say inconsiderate and insulting towards potential clients. I am thinking of calling the professional associations of the lead people to make formal complaints. While this review speaks to the intake process, not the assessment/intervention phase, it might give a heads up for some persons who have specific and unique inquiries as to how other services could be carried out.
If you have Tourette's Syndrome, Michelle Pearce is the only Doctor in Ontario that I would trust. We have seen other Doctors but they know little about the gift of Tourette's syndrome and what to do to deal with it and Michelle is very solid and no-BS. I give her name out to anybody in support groups looking for help as its so hard to find ANYBODY who knows anything about Tourette's and she is VERY knowledgable
Dr. Levine is a wonderful ADHD coach who got me organized but more important she is a genuine soul who listened to my story.
It's impressive that they have all the systems together in one place. The psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker and everybody. Really needed this as situation was complicated. The reports and documentation that were provided were terrific. I am trying to think of something negative but couldn’t find anything. It took a while to set up and lots of info is collected.
This place is so perfect. Angel and Kristine and Kathleen run it really and are SOOOOOO NICEEEEE to someone who WAS VERY nervous. They made me feel at home and took time to explain the process. It took me a long time to decide what to do but they were very patient. THANK YOU GUYS!! XOXO.
This is the best place for psychoeducationals in Toronto. They are very detailed and thorough. Won't go into details, but our family has had to go through a number of psychoeducationals and some every 3 years. This is the best place. I found them by accident after a teacher told us about them. They are not well known from what I understand but seem to be the best.
All the psychologists and social workers here were very nice and dedicated and helped my husband with Adult ADD. We liked how open they were and gave us practical tips in our marriage with ADD
This place is completely unresponsive and unprofessional! We began the process with the Possibilities Clinic in August 2021 and were told they were booking in late fall. We chose this clinic as we had heard good things, but also because they had availability. We completed all the intake forms and then received an email saying they were booking early 2022. I tried to get in touch to finalize dates and when I managed to get in touch with someone, they said they would send them. Nothing. A month later, I followed up again - calling several times and emailing several times as no one ever picked up at reception. I finally got an emails from them with dates - 5 months out. I understand that everyone is busy and things can happen to delay, but the complete lack of communication and professionalism means my daughter will go the entire year without being able to put an IEP in place and mean she has not had the access to the proper schooling for the entire year. I have been trying to get a hold of them to transfer our files as we have found other clinics that have been MUCH more professional and responsive, but after several more calls and emails - I have still not been able to get a response. Go anywhere else BUT this place.
I saw Dr. Almagor at conferences and realized he’s set all the guidelines in Canada for treatment for ADHD. Since then I’ve spoken to my ADHD friends and realized they all go to him. I thought the treatment was right on and not random like my other experiences!
Maybe they should try to get more people so waiting lists are not so long as services are good. Mrs. Levine was very helpful in school planning.
Our family was referred to this clinic because of our sons behavior issues, we felt like it was a waste of time. After 2 meetings we are being referred to other institutions that our child's pediatrician had already recommended so no progress really and no feeling of making progress with my sons behavior problems, and they did not disclose that they would be contacting child protective services (because I spanked him) until we had pried the info out of them, so the level of trust I have with this group is zero. We as parents felt shamed and judged by the staff here and they offered no actual solutions to our issues. My advice is to ask your pediatrician for a clinic that may offer more assistance to your family as a whole.
I found their waiting list long but overall I am happy. Some suggestions for them: get your waiting list shorter, move away from that location and offer snacks and coffee and maybe some entertainment because some of the testing takes a long time and there is nothing to do but go to Starbucks. Also, the phone usually goes to voicemail and I have to call again or email. The actual service is very good but this would make it even better.
Cool. Needed to get retested. Pretty intense procedure to get all the tests done but worth it in the end. Everyone there really good.
Really wanted to give a special thank you to Sarah from everyone in our family for your exceptional dedication and careful attention to detail. You made things whole again. Your efforts and your work made all the difference and put everything back on track.
Very practical, down-to-earth, help. 10/10.
Professional. A+++ service.
Dr. Edwards exhibits a very caring and gentle manner, while, at the same time, provides great insights into the motivations which underlie one's behavior. Her sessions are both interesting and challenging. She is extremely knowledgeable and professional in her approach and makes you feel very comfortable right away. Very compassionate, patient, understanding, and is open to working with other providers to create a well-balanced, comprehensive approach to treatment. Highly recommended.
As a minority and as a person with pronounced anxiety challenges I am glad that I chose The Possibilities Clinic to pursue my Adult ADHD testing . I was nervous about entrusting such a vulnerable process to a group of complete strangers, let alone potentially being talked down to by arrogant professionals, knowing that their own dispositions would potentially have a positive or negative impact on how openly I'd be able to engage. This Clinic exceeded my hopes by far in quality of service, timeliness and professionalism. I'm truly grateful to Dr. Almagor and Dr. Gold for their receptiveness, insight and composure. A large part of the process required focused self-reflection and they were perfect at holding space while also stepping in to help navigate when necessary. Very special thanks to Marilia who was so kind and patient with me during the extensive Psychometric evaluations. I've had appointments with so -called "professionals" that would become snappy after 5 minutes, compare that to 4 hours without the slightest sense of annoyance or hastiness. The follow-up appointments to discuss the summary report and potential course of action left the process feeling complete and satisfactory. If you are an Adult looking to get tested for ADHD, I wholeheartedly recommend this Clinic.
I just want to share how much we appreciate you guys. Your place has been a real blessing to our family. We have a loved one that has struggled for many years, and no one has been more attentive, patient, and persistent in her care... and we've tried many, I can assure you. Thank you very much. I literally do not know what we would have done without you.
Worst phone directory I’ve ever experienced. None of the Ext. Go anywhere. They do not call within 48 hrs. How can you expect them to help anyone if they can’t figure out how to answer a phone. Edit. They called me immediately but they chose to respond to this review before calling me. Gave them 2 more stars for promptly returning my call. Hopefully it doesn’t take months to hear from them.
Great and understanding group of professionals! Extremely impressed with the different sensitivities of discussion, as well as the scheduling. Amazing job!
I can't remember the names of the doctor I saw there about 4 years ago, but the meds have been working and doing well so they must have done a good job (laff)
It was hard to get an appointment but very happy with the service. My private insurance also is not so good and only paid for part of the assessment costs for the psychologists. But the results were there and the doctors were great. Very happy with the service. I’m continuing with their coaching and therapy services and medications as well and have been very happy with the results.
I think this place is a gem and lifesaver for 3 of my children. One with ADHD. The others with Dyslexia and ADHD. The treatments really worked although I‘m sorry I delayed them because i was afraid of medications at first. They have therapies without medications but for us putting that together with medication was a real lifesaver.
We signed up for the complete psychoeducational at the clinic after recommendations from teachers. After comparing to reports from other places they are the best. They seem to provide themselves on accuracy and amount of testing and it really showed. The reports were also very clear. When shown to other people they were also impressed. Found this to be the best! Dr. Miles is incredible!
Amazing staff who were so helpful when it was truly the only place in the city I could go due to timeline. Thank you Angel and Kristine!
This was my third time getting a psychoeducational for my child and this was by far the best one. It was much more detailed and they were able to find things that the other ones ignored. Dr Miles got us help at school too.
