We have all the information of real people who are buying the products and services of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (Psychiatrist) in the area of Niagara Falls (Canada).
To this day this firm has a score of 2.4 stars over 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is scarce, and it's founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the assessment is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they are satisfied with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to place feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Psychiatrist is classified in the category of General hospital.
Absolute WORST ER EVER!!!! I have been sitting here for over 4 hours. This place is a complete joke!!!
Warning: I'm going to sound boogie when I tell this story. Yes it is long, I need you to visualize this ????????♀️ Over the weekend we took a trip to Niagra Falls, NY. It was one of the worse experience I've had. Some how we ended up at this hospital. This was the most nastiest place I've been in as far as somewhere to treat patients. We were in the EROne and the nurse was rude to me and dismissive. The facility was full of spider webs and build up dust. So much dust that something like a light fixture that was suppose to be white was damn near black. The rugs and carpet had crumbs, spills and blood on it. I witness 3 crack heads/bums enter while one use the front desk phone and all I can do is hold on to my kids tighter. Chairs in the waiting room were all ripped up. No one was at the welcome desk when we got there and security was non existence if there was a brawl. It was like a horror movie I've seen before and never wanted to be in ????♀️ First sign of something wrong was when there were only employee cars on the parking deck. If you were not sick going in there you sure to leave with something. I made the executive decision to just get out of there and at the site of the first bathtub I had all my kids in there one by one. I was forced to give a 1 star so I can write this review. They deserve no stars in reality.
Amazing care
I took my Sister here for a check-up/possible Ear infection and these bastards made her wait for over 2 hours to be seen. This hospital can be very sloppy with their check-in process and ESPECIALLY Billing. We get bills almost every week all over 2 Visits!!! Some staff here i.e Christina Hansen are quite nice...however, don't expect them all to be like that. ;)
My OBGYN worked out of this hospital. He lied to me and told me my son had to be delivered by C-section because he was going to be 9 pounds and too big for me. I was told I had no choice that I had to deliver at 38 weeks to prevent uterine rupture and that he had to do the surgery because there was no one else. I wanted to deliver naturally at 40 weeks at Women And Children's Hospital Of Buffalo. I was told they would not do it and to not waste my time going there, that they wouldn't do it for me and would just send me back to him. You are supposed to be able trust you doctor so I believed him. Well come to find out when they did the c-section, they handed him to my husband and we were in shock. My son was only 5 pounds and 18" long and had blood sugar problems!!! I was so pissed. They said if he lost more than a few ounces during the "Honeymoon Period" as they put it, he would have to be transferred to the NICU at Women and Children's Hospital. I was told by the doctor and his nurses the reason why he delivered my baby so early was because he was going for knee surgery and wanted to make sure I was taken care of before he left. Bull crap!!! He wanted the money! He didn't even tell me that I had gestational diabetes and that's what caused my sons low birth weight and blood sugar problems. I only found out when I requested my records. This place only cares about money and not quality care. It's completely appalling. I was so upset that I asked to talk to the doctor about this issue, Guess what his response was, He said," Just be glad your baby was born healthy and that he didn't want to discuss this further because he had to go home." That's really disgusting. He didn't want to accept any responsibility for lying about my son's size or not telling me about my gestational diabetes. I was supposed to have my son delivered at 8:30 AM. I waited until 2:30 before they prepared me for surgery and my son wasn't delivered until 2:51 PM on 11/29/13. Later I found out from a nurse the reason why it took so long was because the Dr. lied and never had me scheduled for surgery. He just made up a story to the OR team that my water had broken. Apparently he does this all the time. I was there for 4 days, constantly worried about my baby's condition and wanted to keep him with me at all times. He was so tiny and I wanted to bond with him. They kept taking my son from me to pump him with glucose. Even the Lactation Consultant kept asking them to stop doing that. She said he needed to nurse and he was having difficulty latching because they kept bottle feeding him every hour. If I had been allowed to nurse him and keep him with me, his glucose would stabilize. The only supporters I had were the lactation consultant and my old pediatrician who I was so happy to see I wept and hugged her. She told the nurses to stop taking the baby from me and let me nurse him. Finally after the 2nd day they listened but it earned me some nasty remarks and rude treatment from the nurses. My mother in law and my husband called them out on the 3rd day after a nurse said I was over reacting. When you have a baby, it is an emotional time and difficult enough without incompetence and snide remarks. My husband's cousin, who is an OBGYN who could not treat me because I was considered family, told me I was right. I had every right to keep my baby with me, and I was right to be upset and speak up about it. I don't care how much money they put into that labor and delivery ward. They had just finished renovating it and I was told how lucky I was to have a BRAND NEW room. They need brand new staff. They kept on forgetting my menu and I didn't get a meal until the last day. They brought me sandwiches that were old. Thankfully my son was delivered the day after Thanksgiving so my husband brought me left overs and my mother in law brought me breakfast every morning. STAY AWAY!!!
By far the most competent Emergency Room I've ever been to! Very welcoming and polite staff. Quick service! In and out within an hour!
Reception is horrible. The lab is supposed to be open at 7:00 and they don’t start registering people until well after that. I try to stop in here first thing so I can do my blood work without having to miss any work. I understand the one offs but every single time!! Not good, please try to do better, my time is as valuable as yours
If I could give this hospital no stars I would I've been here since 12:52 . I have yet to see a Dr and it's 2:56 . There are patients who have been here long the I have and still haven't seen a Dr .!
I regret the service the nurse who took blood from my hateful son and that my son the disabled and her treatment was horrible
We are vacationing from Michigan. 5 month year old daughter had breathing issues. This place was fantastic! Quick check in, very friendly reception staff. The attendee and nurse were extremely supportive and helpful. The Dr. (Joe) was amazing. I was in and out of the hospital in 2 hours and that included xrays. I appreciate the staff and really want to say thank you. Brooklyn's dad
Worst experience ever at this hospital. As a tech going to this hospital is unprofessional answering the phone with bad attitude. Nurses left messed up a vein did it wrong in one of my arms and had to take alot more blood from the other arm which was worse. Kept saying I shouldn't be in pain but I was because they kept putting needles in me so many times the wrong way in both arms thinking I was just saying it just to say it and one of the nurses laughing smiling . And now my arms look like this black and purple bruses. Left me with blood all down my one arm and blood on my hand dripping on the floor and my dad came in the back and cleaned me up .keeps Spreading non stop both arms very bruised puffed up and I never got brused when my regular doctors take my blood. Pictures will be posted on my profile, click on my name a google user and you will see the pictures posted of my arms
Was in the emergency on the weekend and the staff was so rude. People need to get another job. Was told to stop coming in after having chest pains 2 times in 2 months. Was told if you come in again no one will treat you.OMG
Me and my 1 year old son waited over 4 hours and watched everyone be called but us they even had us sit in the covid section while i was severely in pain and even vomited in the lobby
Good care provided as long as you're anywhere in this hospital EXCEPT the mental health ward. And it's brilliant, because if you're a mental health patient, no one on earth will believe anything you say. I was abused in this hospital by staff. The female ward was full and I was placed in the men's ward the first few days. When I saw what I was going to be subjected to, I demanded to be released, as I had checked myself in. That request was refused. I was given a shot for no reason whatsoever. I suffer from severe depression. I need to be back in the hospital, but there's nowhere to go. Patients in these wards at this hospital are routinely berated and abused. Routinely. There is NO help whatsoever. You eat, sleep, and take pills. That's not any kind of treatment. You can get that with outpatient counseling. Try Horizon or Spectrum. A hospital stay is a waste of time, and at this hospital, you'll come out worse than you were when you went in.
If I could give no stars I would! This place is a DUMP, and it is absolutely filthy and disgusting! Why and how this place is still in operation is beyond me.????
We went here for the first time for a CAT scan. We were treated well and the receptionist was kind and caring. My husband was taken in a timely manner. I guess it was a little different in the back, where he went. But he just said it was slow moving. Our only issue today was, we parked in the ramp, not knowing where to go. We were never told that there was parking right by the correct building. Therefore we had a long, long trek. There's a reason why a CAT scan was ordered. Not feeling well and difficulty walking, it wasn't a great experience.
I just wanted to thank the staff, especially Dr. Chaudhari who took such good care of my mother yesterday. It's a difficult time when your mom is seriously ill and the care and understanding that my mom received was very much appreciated. I understand that one of the nurses stayed with my my mom during a procedure she had yesterday. I don't know her name but she was "wonderful"
Usually I️ don’t write reviews this hospital is a joke, a place for most of the workers to come and get on phones so they can kill their time. There are really good workers who really work like they work in hospital not all are same but majority of the workers shouldn’t be here. It’s not one day experience I️ am talking months of watching how system works. Honestly request to workers if you get a job in health care please be loyal to your work. you might have many patients someone might only have one father or mother who is suffering in hospital and your one mistake could make things worse forever.
Best hospital around. Great care and very clean!
All ways gets my order wrong an today my son didn't get his timbits ... Spend almost $20 an never get it right
Wish I could give it a negative one
They took very good care of me when I came in pregnant and dehydrated
How can you call the er an emergency room when your waiting over three hours to get looked at thats terrible
Dealt with Tim, Joe and Kristin. Very professional people tending to an injury and infection. Great attitudes, only problem is the wait between seeing each person. Though considering the area and number of patients/new admissions, it's pretty reasonable.
Waited for 2+ hours, doctor kept interrupting me and then they just told me to wear my brace and take ibuprofen. I told them the brace didn't help in the past and they said there was nothing they can do unless it's actually broken. Have to go see an orthopedic doctor tomorrow. So excited for the bill that comes in for literally not helping at all.
Hospital... what are they? Well let me answer that for you. This is a place to go if you want to go bankrupt. In the U.S., hospital simply means, bank. Except this is the kind of bank that takes the last dollar out of sick peoples pocket. Regular banks mostly specialize in healthy people with deep pockets. We wouldn't be the u.s. if we didn't actively take every dollar from a sick person then kill them off by denying them medicine. This is how our country works because why live a happy life when we can live a life full of anexiety and turmoil so we can pay $5 less in taxes. ????
We were visiting from Ohio. My grandson fell and needed stitches on his forehead. Everyone was very attentive and caring. Paramedics/ firefighters were wonderful and the police officer even escorted us to the hospital. The plastic surgeon and his nurse were excellent.
I can't thank the doctors and nurses enough who helped my friend. They went above and beyond in the er and on the floor for her stay.
I've been in pain for 3 hours on this bed at the hospital and haven't seen one doctor or nurse. Well I see them look at me and pass me by. I try to speak to a nurse she ignores me. This is a horrible hospital
I have to say not only was I surprised but I was also impressed with how quickly they got me to triage and to a bed in the back in the section they called fast track. The entire time I spent here was damn near astronomical. But in the end, it was worth the wait. The emergency room staff was very attentive and helpful. I understand the experience of the emergency room of Niagara falls medical memorial center is not the same for everybody. I would still recommend this place to everyone. I want to extend a thank you to the emergency room staff and in particular the nurse and doctor that took care of me.
I would like to thank the nurses and the Drs, they took good care of my mother and were very friendly and generous. Definitely recommend this hospital.
horrible
I only come for blood work and stress testing for work. The staff has always done a great job. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Would rather die than end up in the emergency room here ever again!! They actually put me in more pain than when I came in! I ended up at Millard Fillmore a couple days later to ACTUALLY fix the problems that memorial caused! And they also let a student perform a procedure (which caused the pain) without telling me she wasn't a doctor!!
Shady place. They like to hide the truth. Director refuses to return phone calls. However, they will eventually have to answer my questions in court. Horrible place.... obviously from all the other negative reviews. They are use to the bad reviews..
Alexander Collochio, the CEO, fired staff who refused the covid vaccine. Regardless if they had adverse reactions in the past. Regardless if they had prior infection. Regardless if they had a religious exemption. He defended his decision by saying “It is proven that the vaccine reduces transmission of the vaccine” [sic] Assuming he meant transmission of the *virus*, I wrote respectfully to ask what the proof was. Surely they’d be happy to share the “proof” he referenced to make such a drastic decision. They never responded. Just ignored my inquiry. Since then, I’ve seen reports of staffing issues as reported in the Lockport journal. This medical center is obviously guided by narrative, not truth, and they will ignore even mere questions. Hope I never end up here.
Took more then 1 hours without reasons for just 5 min work. Rude staff. Worst staff in emergency room
They do not care what happen to you would rather let you be in pain than to help you and will make you feel like a brunden for them doing they job avoid this hell hole at all cost
2 hours and twenty minutes and counting sitting in the ER waiting to be seen
I only dealt with a few people when I was there, but two of the three were very rude. Liz Stom, whom I believe works in Rehab department, was one of the rudest people I have ever met. She should not be working in any position that requires her to have any contact with other human beings. That is the nicest way I can put it. My experience with the hospital as a whole was limited, but her attitude was just so bad that it justifies giving the hospital a poor rating as a whole. If they hire people like that, I'm sure there are many other issues as well.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. Was there tonight 7/23/21 for about 3 hours and never got past the 3 uneducated kids running the ER. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the security guard was even speaking to me or why I had to discuss my personal health with him. Then I realized that as unintelligent as he was, the 2 people were not only scared to death but had no idea what they were doing. My Grandmother, Aunt and Mom all worked at Memorial when it actually resembled at hospital, what a shame. I dont need a generic response from the "OWNER" because you clearly dont care anyway or you would splurge for a medical receptionist to run the RECEPTION DESK AT YOUR MEDICAL CENTER instead of some kids that should be working fast food AT BEST. The security guard was a total waste. He has no medical training so he should just shut up and finish his solitaire game.
I Love NY! NFMH saved my life ❤
(Translated) I like it (Original) Me gusta
I gave birth here a week ago, I have never been treated so badly the staff is unbelievably rude. I had a nurse take blood from me with out any gloves on and got my blood everywhere, there was a couple of good ones but only like 2. Everyday got worse and worse by the end of my stay there was a nurse that was sick sneezing coughing all over the place she coughed in her hand and proceeded to open a door with out washing them spreading her germs around new born babies. When it came time for me to leave they never even checked me to make sure everything was ok usually they push on my belly to check whatever's but memorial... nope they were just like when are you ready to leave I told them and they were like ok let me get the paper work I was out in 15 mins. This place doesn't give a crap about anyone... do not go to memorial hospital to have your baby unless you want the worst experience ever!!!
My aunt went to memorial for surgery. She had to stay in the hospital for a few days to recover. The nurses and cnas on the floor were really great. So much love in the care they provide and how gracious they were making sure our family got to communicate with her,.
(Translated) This is the worst service that one can give as a hospital they do not have a doctor and the service is very bad And that I went with my child with a broken arm and I had to leave because I had to wait 4 hours after I had already been 2 and a half hours is ridiculous an emergency is there (Original) Este es el peor servicio que uno pueden dar como hospital no tienen médico y el servicio es muy malo Y eso que fui con mi niño con un brazo roto y tube que irme por qué tenía que esperar 4 horas después que ya llevaba s 2 horas y medias es asta ridículo una emergencias hay
Was there January 10 in the er for cheat pain got treated like i was not there sometimes. also i got a covid test that day too was told that i will get the results in 15 to 20 mins. Here it is the 30th and got nothing back from it
I sadly have to come here monthly for blood work and appointments. I try to get there right at 7(when the lab is supposed to open) so I do not miss a bunch of work. The registration lady, that had a plaque saying she has had 28 years of service, does not even acknowledge that I or anyone else is waiting. 11 times out of 10 I have to go up to her little window and ask her what time she opens. Even thought I know its 7am and it's well after at this point. It should not take double or three times the time to register as it does to do a lab. If my insurance gave me any other option.. I would take it for sure.
Called to find out about paperwork and I spoke with a woman name Sharon from the occupational health and she transferred me to someone else who was EXTREMELY RUDE on the phone and then hung up. They didn’t bother asking where to send paperwork and the attitudes was just unnecessary as I was polite to them. Need to work on your customer service skills before you lose more patients because it was totally uncalled for.
Nice hospital. Nice doctors
I see my OBGYN at NF Memorial & I love them. The doctors, nurses & staff are super nice, friendly & polite. I was nervous bc I'm pregnant with my 1st child & they've made the whole experience very pleasurable & made me feel secure & confident with my pregnancy.
My dad had the monochromial antibody treatment...highly recommend!! Please look into this treatment if you get covid! Great treatment and facility!!
You have to sign in to enter the hospital, they could put up a sign saying that every one has to sign for accountability, now I know why this hospital has a Google review of 2.6, they had shotty services. The hospital should be shut down during this time of they are worried about the occupied space it's it's waynover that 500 people at any given time including staff,
Not a good hospital at all, the waiting time is ridiculous. A lot of people do not respect this place in the Community. Not all but most staff are rude to the patients that are coming here to be seen. It’s time to bring this place to the light asap
When you have your therapist tell you that you don't need to be there, it's a volunteer program and then they #DoubleTeam you to make It like you don't want to be there. they are #Judgemental and be weary of how you talk #Sensisitive regarding therapists LIz and Sheana #ShouldBeLetGo
????????
Have a UTI that’s set into my kidneys and THEY were the ones who called me and told me about it. They said if the pain didn’t subside I could come back for help. The ER Dr told me I have no reason to be crying like I am in this pain nothing is causing it and he’s discharging me. Well ummm why did you guys call and tell me there’s something but now it’s nothing and I’m still in HORRIBLE pain?! I’ll be taking this to a higher up as he’s clearly aggravated and doesn’t want to be bothered with patients tonight 5/19/2020 2am. If your job is that hard for you find another! Oh and he told me there’s nothing going on that has me in pain I’m not in pain and he needs a urine sample (that i already gave them!) Yes definitely reporting this! What a joke!!!!
All my Drs in one building has been like a second home to me the last three years offers soppout groups for different things has a Tim Hortons and a cafe can get blood work done there x-rays .
nice modern facilities.
Some of the nurses are rude, but overall the nurses have been nice and respectful. It usually takes awhile to be seen when having to visit the ER compared to other local hospitals. The doctors I have encountered in the ER have always been nice, even for the short amount of time they spend with each patient. Parking is sometimes hard to find here.
The improvements in extended services is what Niagara Falls needed and has made a difference in the community.
Really I call to see if my husband is there they tell me no. Then i get transferred and i am told it is there policy to neither confirm or deny that he is there-I was told this twice. I wanted to know if he was even at that hospital and if he was ok. Then I find out his sister calls and she is given the information she asked for. Well its not ending here because i will talk to the hospital administrator. I had to call the Sheriff's dept. to even find out if he was there. UPDATE: called hospital again hasn't even been an hour since i called. Husband has been waiting for 3 hours to pick him up. Now why in the heck wasn't this information passed on to me? I am livid.
I have a loved one there right now and has been there for several days at this point. They spent 2 days in the ER and now in a room that unacceptable in so many ways. They've not been given food this entire time (they're allergic to certain foods) and since they got there, has eaten only 2 bananas in a 3 day time period. Seriously? This is a hospital? No fluids, no electrolites, NOTHING! My loved one is in worse shape now than when they went in. If you have a choice at all - DO NOT GO HERE. If anyone knows how to get this to change, I'm open (and desperate) for ideas.
Nothing
They are rude as hell don't come here they make excuses for everything my Aunt's experience was terrible as well they tried to keep her baby in the hospital for no reason... They don't care for the patients properly either
Absolute dump. 4 hour wait in the ER to be turned away by the miserable triage nurses. Numerous homeless people (unmasked) walking right by security into the lobby and consuming the ample trash drinks and food littering the lobby and hanging out for hours. Avoid this impromptu homeless shelter masquerading as a Hospital.
I have been a patient for a few days, will be for a few more and i could not be more impressed with the entire hospital staff. From the nurses to surgeons i am so grateful i was sent here as they all have gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and do everything to figure out what is happening . It truly is an overall great hospital
Great people but dirty facilities. Emergency Room (ER): Intake was fast and care was provided in a timely matter. Staff was well educated and informed. They communicated clearly with patient. The level of care provided was fantastic and they do a great job of prioritizing cases and making sure you are being cared for even if you are a lower priority due to severity of injury/illness. On the other hand, the place is dirty. On multiple occasions, I've noticed that the patient rooms in the ER have filthy floors. I would expect them to be much better cleaned. Some floors look like they haven't been cared for in weeks. Other hospitals in the area are immaculate. NFMMC is not. It's gross. Hospital: The staff are caring and communicate well with patients and their families. They seem to care and I feel that the care is above average. Again, the cleanliness of the facility leaves much to be desired. Also, it is in dire need of updating. Rooms have 15+ year old wallpaper. Why not spend a little and give them a fresh coat of paint and get rid of the time warp? Also, the floors are dirty. Not as bad as the ER but they definitely leave a bit to be desired. If I'm in a hospital, I expect cleanliness to prevent the spread of infection and disease. That includes the floors.
THE WORSE ER DEPARTMENT EVER
Took good care of my 92 year old mom.she would definately not be alive without thier quick intervention.
Very hard to get ahold of office and refused to fill my depression medication so now I have to find a new doctor. Dont waste your time with this office, it's definitely not worth it. -5 star
Horrible hospital. Slow service. A man was having cardiac issues and they had him sitting in the waiting room for over four hours. They are very disorganized and the facility is filthy. I wouldn't take my dog here let alone myself.
@Privateo Privy Same thing happened to me. People need jobs and a grown woman wants to play games with them, smh. People like Vicki Landes are a representation of how once a person has become successful they think they're better than other people and no longer care about others. What they don't realize is that whatever success they have today, it can all disappear tomorrow. Never EVER make the mistake of thinking you're above anyone because the same people you p!ssed on on your way to the top are the same people who will be crapping on you on your way to the bottom.
My husband was sent here from urgent care. They said he was having a heart attack. Spent 24 hrs there and released with no diagnosis and no discharge papers. Had several tests even a stress test. 6 hours later still waiting for results!!Called to see about the papers. Said they were in his room. Asked if they could be mailed. The girl said she didn’t know. 5 days later still haven’t received them. They called a script in and when I went to get it the pharmacy said it was cancelled. 8 hours after his release the pain was worse. Went to a different ER and had a diagnosis in 5 hours!
Many offerings for public health care such as inpatient, outpatient, ICU, Surgical services, Radiology, Laboratory testing, Cardiology services, Cardiac rehabilitation, Stress testing, Cardiac sonography, Cardiac Catheterization lab, Mental health, substance abuse, Wound Center, OB/GYN, Gastroenterology Lab, Davita Dialysis, Mammography, Ct scan, MRI,......
My mother have been in this emergency room since 9:42 this morning, it is now 8:32pm & we are still here! This is the most outrageous experience ever
I had surgery today, and I know the anxiety that goes up to the procedure being done is through the roof. But I have to say that the staff that worked today were so professional. I was pleasantly surprised. They made me feel comfortable, calmed my nerves, and am delighted to say that one of nurses even went out of his way to get me a Tim Horton’s coffee when I woke up after the anesthesia. They called my ride and told her to just pull up to the door and wheeled me for door to door service, which was very convenient for her as well. They deserve this excellent review, as they were nothing but kind, caring, and everything you’d want for your day of surgery to be, even though you don’t truly want it. Excellent!!!!
Worst People on help desk at gynecology department .Very Rude very Unprofessional .
The last time my husband was there they discharged him too soon. He is elderly and disabled
The slowest ER I have ever been to. I went for chest pain and have been sitting in the waiting area to over 3 hours. I will never visit this hospital again. This is ridiculous, no one knows anything and no one seems to care. The worst hospital ever, doesn’t even deserve 1 star.
Great care saved my life
I actually think this hospital is very excellent I prefer this hospital over mount st merry's there very welcoming and polite here they give you the right treatment and everything I love this hospital
Husband went in with a racing heart. They told him to take a seat and did not take stats at all so hubby walked out so i called 911 from the parking lot and ambulance wouldn't do stats or take him either and one emt says "come on guys this is inappropriate!" So i took him to a different hospital and low and behold he was mid heart attack so this place has no respect for Veterans or people with cardiac issues! Only care about money or something other!
Terrible!! I was just there for a little over 3 hrs and 1 nurse and x-ray tec noticed how swollen my injury was and the worst part is in the 3 hrs I was there the 2 I just mentioned was the only 2 I seen. I'm sure they are under staffed at least I hope that's the case and I told the nurse that I was in a great deal of pain 9 out of 10 and these uncompassionate staff didn't even offer me a motrin... Just terrible I'd rather die then go there to die. I will be going to a higher up to voice the service or lack of service. I will not be going there again
Well when it comes to "Psychiatric Treatment" you are better off going to some place else like "E.C.M.C." , and that is mainly due to the fact that they don't release you from the hospital with the medication that they are administering to you while you are there , they would rather you come back there instead of trying to keep a person stable upon release
The very best experience. Great nurses, fast service and amazingly compassionate doctors. I'm grateful for the whole staff during my visit. Thank you!
This hospital amongst our community could do better. Parking is a major detractor from this medical facilitie's rating. Employees get first choice at parking e. g. Doctors, Nurses,Hospital workers in general. I don't mind that. They offer a very important service. If you have an appointment you have to get there an hour before hand just to find a place to park.In other words it wasn't a very well thought out plan when when NMMC decided to expand.
I would recommend any other hospital. There are nice workers here but I give their care a zero. Was prescribed a medication that made me very very ill. Went back several times trying to find answers, but they won’t seem to admit that something they gave me could possibly make me sick. Please do your research on a medication before they prescribe it to you so you do not go through the weeks of torment that I went through.
Family member was in emergency room. When I got there the front desk was very rude and ignored me . I actually asked if I was talking to a wall and still was ignored .when I was able to see family member I asked to speak to emergency room doctor I was told he would talk with us. That never happened . Instead a third person came in and said what the nurse told her after asking four times to speak with the emergency room doctor. Isn't this against Hipa laws. Last I checked nurses could not speak about the patient not alone a third person relaying information. Niagara Falls Memorial needs to be investigated .
Every time I come into ER I end up waiting 6 to 8HoursThis is ridiculous
Mostly good experience being treated there. Lady nurses were nice. Middle aged man on duty in ER at night was not personable and had little bedside manner. He was about 5' 11 and Caucasian. He was acting as a supervisor type.
After 5 years, I've had it. ER staff is consistently rude, if I can't make it to a better hospital I bring a witness. Complaint to the CEO Mr. Ruffolo didn't improve that, it got worse. Primary care is impossible to reach by phone and rarely return calls. It took 5 voicemail messages over 2 weeks to get a refill for crucial diabetic medicine. The staff doesn't listen to patients in person and are sometimes argumentative about simple issues and either lack communication with each other or pretend not to know what is happening by not documenting messages. I should have gone elsewhere to begin with after the PCP prescribed a drug that I can't tolerate and am probably allergic to. After I pleaded to try an alternative, she insisted on a pill that I couldn't take and was of no use for 6-12 months before it was corrected, putting my health at risk. Currently I have waited a week for a necessary insurance authorization that is preventing treatment with a specialist because the physician assistant either doesn't grasp the issue or simply refuses to lift a finger to resolve it. The reception staff has also wasted a lot of time trying to justify their inefficiency. Negative experiences with this hospital far outweigh the few positive ones. I can't recommend them to anyone in good conscience. A family member had a horrible experience with their maternity ward when a nurse with obvious mental or emotional problems threatened all of the new mothers on the floor that she would report them to CPS for mundane requests to hold their own babies. This hospital has a reputation for treating patients like trash and think they can get away with it because many of their clients are low income.
My daughter went to NFMMC to seek help for herself...her depression hit hard and she tried to end her life. Why am i stating all this...cause the nurses in the mental health department caused my daughter more harm than good. They riduculed how she dresses because it is INAPPROPRIATE to them. My daughter...yes she dresses gothic and no...the way she dresses doesn't make a difference that she is still my daughter and she has feelings to...which by the way...this place took all the dignity she had and really turned her world UP-SIDE-DOWN!! If you truly need help for you or a loved one...NFMMC is NOT...at least in my opinion...the place to go
Absoutly Ridiculous policy. My 7 month month pregnant wife CANNOT park near the entrance to her apointment, but MUST walk around entire hospital to get her appointment in the Hodge building LD is a staff only enterance. It sounds like the same goes when she has the baby. ????
The nurse had know idea what she was doing !!! I would never go there again !!
Omg! Went to emergency tonght told us it would be over a 3 hour wait only one doctor on . A poor man was bleeding in the waiting room.
My friend got admitted for wound infection on big toe of foot.his toe was amputated in view of his diabetes.but was discharged from hospital even though he has fever.no medication was given.and he died a day later. A great loss for family. A big question mark on clinical experience of doctors?
Always have been satisfied with their care
Usually don't post reviews on anything, but this was ridiculous. I asked about volunteering opportunities and the guy at the front desk very rudely said "call between 8-4" I proceeded to ask him who I would speak to and he mumbled something so I tried to ask if he could repeat what he said and he just goes "call between 8-4" clearly annoyed that I couldn't understand him and hangs up in my face while I try to ask another question. Honestly just this experience alone makes me not even want to call back tomorrow to offer any help. If that's how some of the staff talk to the actual patients that need help then this is just ridiculous. Hopefully if I call back tomorrow I won't be met with such rudeness.
I applied for a job here and I received an email from Vicki Landes telling me about the job. It was written like a computer-generated form letter with my full name written out, that was the first red flag. At the end, it asked me to contact her if I was interested and I would have an interview. I contacted her with interest and never heard another word. Very unprofessional. Niagara Falls isn't exactly overflowing with qualified candidates, so one would think a person in a position to hire would actually call a candidate rather than send an email in the first place. Nevertheless, the entire process showed me this wouldn't be a good fit for me. After all, if one doesn't even think enough of applicants to call them or even respond to a message, I can only imagine what it would be like working for someone who operates that way.
Was seen right away. Receptionist, nurse assistant, nurse, and Doctor where very professional, pleasant overall great experience.
By far the most competent Emergency Room I've ever been to
This review is for the P3 program. I applied for the program months before I gave birth Karen said she was going to help me with baby stuff and carseat. She never call me, I call her when I was at the hospital she said she was going to bring me a carseat she never did. If can't help someone don't make empty promises now I'm stock at the hospital with no carseat. Shame on them. She's really a karen???????????? P3 used to be better when Sarah was the director, the new director is so rude and doesn't care about women like me. I wished I could give zero star.
I just had surgery as an out patient on 8/28/18. The staff in every department were professional and very kind ,caring and compassionate. Dr. Robert Perry was my doctor . He is an excellent doctor and an amazing surgern. Everyone made my stay as a patient there a positive experience. I felt safe and cared for . I highly recommend Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital. Waits are a little long. But no hospital staff in the world is your family and loved ones so when and/or if you go among strangers this happens.
It's dirty and the staff tend to be rude. God forbid you need information from the information desk, they obviously have better things to do than answer your questions. I haven't had problems with the doctors or nurses, but based on my limited experience here, I completely believe the horror stories in some of the other reviews.
Today is July 16th, 2019 and I just like everyone to be aware that this hospital has kids working at the front desk and have no clue on what their doing! I wish this place would be more professional, this is a hospital, not a high school fundraiser event, when you ask a question to these kids, all you hear is “I don’t know!”
A friend of mine had an emergency while we were visiting Niagara Falls NY. Being in a strange place we choose Niagara Falls emergency. The personal at the hospital are efficient, kind and made our scarey situation much easier. Thanks to all that helped us.
I left after 2 hours of waiting with out being seen worst hospital ever dont go hear
If something is wrong with your body and it burst the Emergency Room don't care at all
This is the worst hospital ever. If you want to live go some where else...
Oh My God everyone was wonderful except one aide she was so rude! She was talking very rude because she had to push me in a wheelchair after surgery when i was going home! So she pushed me downstairs and left me there so i almost passed out having to try to walk out of there to my ride
My experience with Memorial Hospital was the worst experience of any hospital I've ever been too. The wait was 3 hours in the ER, after urgent care sent me with a referral that said potentially life threatening condition. The nurse collapsed my vein as she couldn't find my vein. She was also not wearing GLOVES as she took my blood or inserted an IV. Appalling. Is this hospital policy that nurses do not wear gloves while working with bodily fluids????? The workers at the front desk of the ER had their masked pulled down to their chin and were not properly wearing them. This is healthcare, a hospital!!! These workers of all work forces should be setting an example. I am actually pondering calling channel 2 news after this experience in your hospital. Never Again.
Worst hospital I’ve ever heard of in my life and very unprofessional employees have attitudes nurses don’t relay messages to patients very disorganized I would rather go to ecmc I cannot believe u guys worked so hard as a hospital to get a bad rep would not recommend at all
I didn’t like having to be admitted into the mental ward, but it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been. They don’t overfill the ward (I was on the bottom floor, not top. I guess the top one is worse) but the staff was very caring and extremely friendly. The social workers like to take their time discharging you but it gets done before 4pm when you are told you’re getting discharged. You can’t keep your door closed in your room, but it’s understandable. Just sucks since the hall light shines into your room all night and makes it hard to sleep. Not many things to keep you busy other than talk to other patients, color/watch tv and go to groups.
i was not feed when I was in that hospital.
Worst hospital ever!!! Dirty rude staff dirty people all around horrible care
I waited 4 hours before I even had my vitals taken....absolutely awful
Worst hospital I've ever been in i they mistreated me and abuse their authority they need to close them down!!
The emergency room is not that great, but phyc. E.R. is pretty good out of experience.
The mental health ward sucks the nurses do not care they have a Doctor by the name of doctor rhododendron who puts everyone on medications that you have to depend on. I had better treatment at the BryLin Hospital
I am sending a complaint against their practice we had an apt on Thursday of last week my daughter has a tenor the size of a socker ball. We were 5 min late for her apt. Due to the bad parking situation there. They sent her away
Absolutely horrible it’s amazing how that dump is still running I’d walk to another hospital before I would ever go back there the staff act like there mad because your in pain or ring your call button so I asked them to remove my IV and went to another hospital where I was admitted and treated within 30 mins
I would recommend a different hospital!!!! They do have some nice staff don’t me wrong. They just worried about getting people out that’s ALL they seem to care about I came few days ago tried to it was because of my anxiety how but yet I been throwing up for past 5 days still didn’t that was was my anxiety keep having hot flashes I had call my aunt nurse out buffalo just get her opinion disappointed this is really a hospital would like to talk to some one about that !!!!! Would give zero stars If that was possible
I came into the hospital (07/05/19) for a drug test and physical for a job I'm starting(07/15/19). I went to the secretary who had an attitude and didn't seem to want to be there. I was told where occupational health was and when I went upstairs the entire floor was closed for an emergency. I understand things happen, but dont you have anyone else that can do it?Shouldn't you have told the secretary? Or did she just not care to tell anyone. Would zero star if possible
Currently on 3 hours of waiting on the doctor...3 hours.... There is nobody else in here so what is taking so long?!
