Have seen Mark for Physio here for over a year for various issues. Clinic is clean and professional. A bit small in size, but location is excellent. Mark is fantastic, always takes the time to ensure a good complete treatment. Front staff is friendly and efficient. Great place for physio. Also recently saw a sports doc there (Dr. Tam) - she was thorough and helpful explaining all the symptoms in lamens terms.
I've been coming to Athlete's Care for a few months now. Working with physiotherapist, Endri, has been a great experience! He is very perceptive, patient, attentive and, along with Dr. Presvelos, finally figured out what was going with me and put me on an effective treatment plan. The entire staff at the clinic is super friendly and helpful and make my appointments much nicer than previous experiences elsewhere.
Hard to say enough about how excellent the staff are. From the front staff to the therapists, I can't recommend them enough.
Endri is a great physiotherapist! He really knows what he's doing. I had some neck and back issues. He made me feel alot better and was very kind and professional. I would Highly recommend him. Thanks Endri :)
Dr Hood has been a stand out for me for my treatment and education related to chronic back pain. She is never rushed or dismissive of any details, concerns, or questions. She is extremely competent and caring. A very valuable combination!
Visited to do physio, therapist never sent me my exercises even after I called and reminded. Had to go through two doctors to get to physio and this flake wastes my time. I also noticed the front staff and a therapists disrespecting a patient simply because they were running late and she was worried she couldn't stay late.
I have been going to see Endri at Athletes Care for over a year now. He provides top of the line service and has always been open to show me the best exercises to stabilize my shoulder. While Endri is a relatable individual and I really enjoy my monthly appointment, his professionalism and knowledge is what stands out. Would definitely recommend Endri for anyone that has shoulder issues! Aside from Endri - the staff at Athletes Care are amazing! The front desk check-in is quick and easy and the email receipts so it's easy for me to submit insurance claims and is better for the environment.
I have been going through physiotherapy with Endri at King & Yonge for a month and already noticed a lot of improvement with my movement. He takes time to understand the injury, explain the details of what affects it, and provide complex treatment. The front staff is also nice and friendly.
I will recommend Anhlete's Care Sports Medicine Centre without a blink. Endri Ulaj is outstanding. You will be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable and skilled physiotherapist anywhere near Toronto. He helped me immensely with my shoulder and back pain after crashing from a heli snowboarding. He is very knowledgable and he goes extra mile to take care of his costumers. The facility is first rate and immaculate and the staff is flawless. A totally positive experience. Thank YOU Endri. Now I am fully recovered and ready to continue doing what I love most #kiteboarding.
Great spot with great professionals. Frances Leung is a bundle of positive energy and encouragement that really helps shift mind and body to heal whatever injury you have.
First time at Athlete's Care for my thumb and foot injury and Haider Tirmizey was excellent. He provided the right treatments and exercises that worked for me. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend him as well as this location - great staff!
I went to see Dr. Chen after a year long back pain, I was really worried that I will have to live with the pain for the rest of my life as I am only 27, Ive been to chiropractors and numerous of physiotherapist and xray which always shows normal. I never knew what was wrong, Got misdiagnosed by physiotherapy that even aggravated my condition. After seeing him, my injury was actually in my knee which causing a pelvic imbalance that results to back pain. He truly knowledgeable, and he is good at what he does, very impressive to actually see that he found out the source of my pain. Been two weeks, followed his taping order and prescribed me exercises to bring to physiotherapist this time with the right diagnosis. Anytime I will have any injury related to sports or muscular, I wont even bother going to family doctor or PT or Chiros. This appointment didn't even cause me anything since it covered with OHIP.
Great experiences at Athletes Care. I had some ankle and calf injuries which were diligently treated to get me back on the field playing asap. Very happy with my therapists, good location, and convenient early morning hours.
Still in the midst of recovery, so far the classes here are amazing. I took the foot & ankle - The place is really nice and clean and I felt like I was really cared about in my recovery process.
After five month of unsuccessful physiotherapy, I was referred to Athlete’s Care where I was assessed and treated by Endri. In a month he was able to help me recover mobility of my wrist with proper guidance and understanding of the injury. He took the time to explain in detail what was happening and explored different techniques to try and solve the problem.
I had to see a physiotherapist last week and was booked with Frances. Thank god I was. She worked magic on my lower back and hips. After only one session, I could walk with no pain. She is so caring and personable as well. Thank you Frances!
Very knowledgeable, very efficient. Therapist's (Mark) goal is to make me feel well and pain free. No unnecessary appointments. Therapist is working only with me.
I cannot say enough about the best Sports Medicine Doctor in the city—Dr. Chen—who is all ease and friendliness, as well knowledgeable and comprehensive. I come out of every appointment knowing more about my body and how to future-proof it in all athletic activity. Dr. Costa also has an excellent bedside manner. I've been to more than a few Sports clinics in my day and this is the best one with the best staff, top to bottom.
I’ve been working with Endri for about 6 weeks now and he’s been a fantastic physiotherapist. This is my first time going to physio and he always takes the time to explain everything, make sure I understand it, and that I’m comfortable with each step. We’ve made a lot of progress on my issues and I would absolutely recommend him. The clinic itself is really conveniently located on the PATH and their online booking system plus digital receipts make things easy for me.
Haider was very knowledgeable about my shoulder injury and provided excellent care that had my shoulder feeling better within a few weeks (very quick!).
Very convenient location and great staff. My physiotherapist, Endri is very professional, skilled and knowledgeable. He makes sure I understand why and how his techniques will work which really helps. I had a bad experience with physio at a different clinic where my problem was never resolved. I am glad I decided to give physio a second chance, and my leg pain has been a lot better.
I visited a sports medicine doctor at the King & Yonge location about 3 weeks ago. The doctor was very knowledgeable and recommended several options regarding a plantar fasciitis ailment. He was very knowledgeable and seemed very competent.
I visited Athlete's Care for help with my lower back that had been agravating me for months. I received treatment from Endri and he was able to recommend me excersizes. That helped. Today, my problem is gone. Thanks Athelete's Care!
Physiotherapists I have seen are top-notched and dedicated professionals. Two things that could be improved: not enough privacy for patients when it’s crowded; direct billing to insurance would help too:
I had a great experience here. The receptionists are very friendly and my physiotherapist, Lindsey, is awesome. She cares about her patients and is very pleasant to work with. She gives me very effective exercise routines, stretches etc that really help me heal fast. And she is so much fun to talk to!
I highly rate Haider Tirmizey's work. Professional, knowledgable and thorough. He will take the time to work through your symptoms and ailments and break it down for you in a way that will allow you to take home the information so that you can progress on your road to recovery.
I have been getting treatment for my shoulder injury from the best physiotherapist that you can imagine. Endri has extensive knowledge of the human body, and his approach is using the most effective techniques for your status. I feel that I am getting better and better after every single session. Besides his professionalism, he is one of the most friendly person that I have ever met. I highly recommend both the Doctors and Physiotherapist of Athlete's Care.
Dr. Alice Tam - not the best as far as bedside manner or clarity of diagnosis, and tends to run *very* late with her patients. The front desk staff even mentioned they have consistent problems with her. Would recommend going elsewhere if you are looking for quick, caring, compassionate service.
I went here for 6 months and their staffs were very knowledgeable & friendly. My physiotherapist was Endri and he was both professional and caring. Each session he would carefully assess the situation and would provide treatment based on that. also meanwhile he was very good at explaining the issue so you could really understand what is going on in your body which in long run would help you much better to cope with your issues. I really recommend here and their staffs!
Dr. Ho is super. When you play sports, sooner or later you may get injured. Dr. Ho has been fixing me for the past 3-4 years. Very professional, knowledgeable and honest. Strongly recommend.
Dr. Davor Cepo is one of the best Chiropractors ever! Thorough, knowledgeable and SO on point! He should be teaching at every university in the city! Love Athletes Care!
Knowledgeable physiotherapists that are honest, open to feedback, and able to utilize a wide variety of tools to troubleshoot complex issues. Staff are friendly and easy to work with in scheduling / rescheduling appointments.
Dr. Tam is great, as is Jessi, my physiotherapist. Even the office staff are fun and helpful. Excellent service all around. I have recommended this place to everyone I know.
I’ve always had a positive experience with everyone at Athlete’s Care. Endri Ulaj is my physiotherapist. He is very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation of the treatment of my ankle injury. He follows up before and after every session and answers any questions that I may have. Endri has made me feel confident with the progression of my recovery. I’m very pleased with the physiotherapy I have received at Athlete’s Care.
Insanely disappointed at the lack of organization and customer care. I called at 2pm the day before a 10:30 am appointment to confirm the time as I had not heard from the clinic. When I called, the man who answered the phone said "oh ya, your appointment is cancelled, unless you want to do a virtual one". I was stunned. If I hadn't called, I would have showed up from out of town for my appointment. I have been waiting to find out if a surgeon thinks I need knee surgery and have been counting down the days to be consulted. The excuses given to me as to why I wasn't called were pathetic. I do not recommend this clinic to anyone; if they can't even figure out scheduling appointments, I wouldn't want to trust them with anything more.
I was referred to AC for physio/ orthopedic surgery consulting after struggling with Plantar Fasciitis in both feet for almost a year, and going through every other suggestion that other referrals had made (Orthotics, passive therapies, etc...). I couldn't be happier with how things have gone over the last several months with Endri! I had figured that surgery was the only option left, but he took a more active and multi-faceted approach, and we worked hard on the multitude of causes that can lead to PF. The improvements were almost immediate, and we gradually moved from multiple visits per week down to one, and I'm happy to be back to where I was before.
The Staff at this location are kind, patient and helpful. I worked with Haider, who was an excellent Physiotherapist. I had excruciating pain in my lower back for years which limited my capacity to participate in physical activities, such as running, weight lifting and playing basketball. I tried many other therapies and nothing seemed to do it. But after working with Haider for just 6 weeks, my pains slowly began to decipate and today I can fully participate in the aforementioned activities. Haider was extraordinarly comprehensive and methodical with my routines and training, it is his understanding of my personal injury that allowed me to be physically active once again. Many thanks to Haider for all his patience and for his geniune care of my health and well being. All the best, Jonathan
I've been to this clinic before and satisfied customers always return. Endri was my physiotherapist and helped resolve my knee issues. I recommend him/the clinic to all my co-workers that need. Endri is very knowledgeable, insightful and added bonus, very pleasant to be with. He offered great advise and had some great tips and tricks which have really come in handy.
The manager is a scammer. My aged mother with arthritis was regularly over-charged for the services she recieved. By claiming that the insurance company covered only partial cost, when in reality, the insurance company covered full cost, the admins would compell my mother to pay $12 extra during each visit. Worst of all, we have reason to believe that the admin would create fraudulent documents as proof of the partial coverage. Avoid these shady characters.
I’ve had a great experience at this location. I saw a sports medicine specialist, Dr. Chen, and he was able to offer some very accurate insights and treatment for my problem. I since, have been seeking physio treatment at the same location. My physio practitioner, Endri, is quite knowledgeable, skilled, and efficient. He’s been able to help me greatly. I’ve had many mediocre and okay experiences in the past in some other clinics but my experience at this location has been sensational and I highly recommend it.
It's such a convenient location at King and Yonge... and their facilities seem adequate. They also seem to have a very diverse staff that are able to assist. The only complaint I'd have is their receptionists seem generally kind of unhappy people.... which is surprising because they should ideally be the "face" of the location. Although things seem to run smoothly and such, nobody seems to smile or laugh or seem even remotely happy to be there. It's a little disappointing since they are in effect, offering a service... but maybe they're just like the medical professional who think that just because health is a basic need, they can act however they want since "you need them".
Great professionals here and the clinic has an online systems that allow you to book your appointments online. Michelle is an amazing massage therapist that doesn’t keep chatting during the whole session and she can identify where your pains come from and give you stretching instructions. Jim is a great chiro as he’s been able to fix some of the pains I’ve felt for so long.
Endri is hands-down one of the best health professionals that has treated me. I came to Athlete's care with a meniscus tear. Endri explained the Dr's diagnosis, put together a comprehensive treatment plan, and gave me exercises for home. He is clear, concise, caring, and very knowledgeable. Most important, he is focused on you and your health goals. And the staff at the front are fantastic. I feel fully supported and taken care of by Endri and Athlete's Care. 5+ stars all around.
Excellent physio- highly knowledgeable and helpful. Haider managed to actually fix an issue I’d been having for more than 9 months. I would highly recommend!!!!
Top notch rehabilitative services. I have been a client of Athlete's Care for years and will continue to patronize their clinics in the future. I suffered a herniated disc in my lumbar region 11 years ago, I recently suffered a bad relapse of my old injury and was unable to walk and function normally. My physiotherapist, Endri is a miracle worker. His assessment of my problem and rehabilitative exercises got me up and running again in no time. Cannot believe the rate at which I am recuperating. I would highly recommend Endri to anyone suffering a debilitating injury. He can fix you!
I had the misfortune of being referred to Dr. Ho. It was a terrible experience. He does not see patients in person and forces you to install and use an awful app. Avoid at all cost. They also wanted to charge me for having my records transferred to a proper doctor. The one star is for the receptionist.
Great experience I would recommended this clinic to everyone ! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I met with Endri who has helped me immensely. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about human mechanics and functioning and takes the time to understand the injury so he can provide the best treatment. Thank you so much!!
I had been dealing with tennis elbow for about a year and a half. I had tried physio but it did not seem to work. In June 2021 I started PRP treatments. I did three in total, one month apart. The first treatment was very painful but each month the pain was easier to deal with. Phenominal results! I can now squeeze a shampoo bottle, pull up my socks, open a can. AND I am back to lifting small weights. Thank you Dr. Presvelos for choosing the right treatment and helping me overcome my pain!
Visited chiropractor for initial assessment He didn't ask or try to find out root cause and just started acupuncture left room for 15 mins comes back does stretches, tells me few exercises and appointment was done. Final bill $120. It was barely 10 mins of efforts for 45 mins appointment.
I had a rough time transitioning from being a doctor to being a patient. But the good folks at athlete's care - the admins, physio, doctors, massage therapists, and many other specialists were all wonderful in helping me recover. Despite having many different specialists, they all communicated with each other to ensure that your priorities as a patient are put first! Whether it is re: rescheduling your appointment last minute or having them all on one day so that you don't have to come many times in a week; whatever small request you have - they would have an easy solution for you!
Super group of professionals!! In just a few days I am feeling relief from a chronic nerve pain in my leg. Endrit has been treating me and his easy personality and communication skills are helping me both physically ... and mentally.
No complaints about the treatment. The treatment has been great! It's so frustrating to book appointments though. I rarely get through to a receptionist when I call the Yonge & King location. I have given this feedback to them a number of times as well which is why I'm now posting this. I just tried calling to book an appointment and the phone rang a few times and went to voice mail. Reception only picks up about 10% of the time. It doesn't make sense for me to leave a voice message and have someone call me back since I'm typically in back to back meetings all day. I usually have to try calling 5 times to book an appointment before I'll get through to someone (I'll call whenever I have an extra minute between meetings at work). Very frustrating! Why does no one pick up?! I have had to book appointments elsewhere at times after not being able to get through to someone.
Endri is amazing! I came to Endri not being able to move my shoulder or neck with extreme pain in my back and he fixed me up in a matter of days. He has a lot of knowledge about the body and talks you through all of his treatment steps throughout the session so you can really understand what he is doing and why. He's also very accommodating to coordinate with. Would highly recommend and I know I'll see him for ongoing maintenance.
When to multiple doctors to determine what was wrong with my knees but no one really understood the problem. It wasn’t until I went or athletes care that I got a proper diagnosis and started working with a physio that understood what the problem was. They also have the best service.
Gopika is amazing! Very personable and professional. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a physiotherapist. The facility is very clean and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.
I’ve been to Athlete’s Care and worked with physiotherapist Gita for a few years now for several different issues, some of them fairly severe. She has always been great to work with and helped to get me back on my feet as soon as is possible. I highly recommend both Gita and Athletes Care.
The clinic was conveniently located by the subway and it was quick to get a consultation. Dr. Ho made the process clear and ensured that I got setup with the rehabilitation care that I needed. My physiotherapist Endri was truly wonderful. He was so professional, explained the care that I needed and checked in to ensure that I was recovering well along the way. He was very knowledgeable and helped me to recover to a point where I can continue to strength train and get back to the physical activities I love with no pain or irritation. He not only provided me with the information I needed to care for my injury week to week, but he gave me useful information on how to modify strength training/activities to ensure good joint health for years to come. I can’t thank him enough!
When I initially came in to see Endri Ulaj, a physiotherapist at Athlete's Care at King and Yonge, I had difficulty walking and was dealing with pain and chronic injuries. Endri, methodologically, dealt with each of the issues with various forms of treatment, and made himself available via e-mail if I needed to check with him between appointments. After years of not being able to run due to pain, I am back running again! Endri has also been a significant source of knowledge, explaining exactly what is being done, and how my body would react, including models, and diagrams to illustrate. This is information I can use for the rest of my active life. Thanks again for all your help, Endri!
The King St. location has great hours and is conducive to living and working downtown. I recovered well after physiotherapy at Athletes Care and have recommended them to friends. The therapists used several different modalities which worked really well for me.
I have been going to this location of Athlete's Care for several years for various issues and have been treated by several physiotherapists and chiropractors there. All the professionals there are excellent. I am currently seeing physiotherapist Endri Ulaj and he is great! In addition to being very friendly and easy-going, he knows his stuff and is very good at what he does. I started seeing very good results for my issues after just a few sessions with him. He is always on time, which I appreciate. He is also available via email to answer any questions in between sessions. I whole-heartedly recommend him. Usha
Amazing care and work from Victoria DiSabatino. Very knowledgeable and efficient in her work, would highly recommend.
I recently began treatment at Athlete’s Care Sports Medicine. I’ve been seen by two different practitioners and both were excellent. They clearly have a high level of expertise. They are kind, thoughtful and able to offer insight and support. I would highly recommend this practice!
Great experience with Athletes Care. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I met with Endri for my injury, he was extremely helpful and committed to my recovery. He was very attentive and supportive throughout the process, offering helpful exercises and techniques. I would definitely recommend to any new patients.
After re-injuring, what I thought was my back from a fall last year, and spending several weeks down-and-out, I decided to see a Dr. X-ray came back clean and referred me to physio. Between the time of scheduling the initial assessment and day of appointment, I started to feel a little better and was very close to cancelling, but I’m so glad I didn’t! Endri is my physiotherapist and is so knowledgeable and kind. He listened and knew exactly what my issue was. With 3 weeks of treatment, coupled with at-home exercises, I am starting to feel better to run and be active again. I can’t thank Endri enough for helping me get back to normal…whatever that is. ; )
It was my first time working with physiotherapist and I worked with Endri Ulaj. He is a really good specialist, definitely a master in his field. He took a good care of me and after all the procedures it felt like I was never injured.
Got to say it - these people are awesome; from the assistance with the bookings and the Doc. who has been on the ball with "reading" my symptoms to my physio - Gopika and Joelle and Craig - these three wonderful people are part of my Team that help me with physical "maintenance" and improvements for triathlon races. Thank each one of them very much. Marinela
I’ve been a client of the Athlete’s Care Sports Centre for about 5-6 months. After suffering with flat feet for years, if not decades - I was about to give up on any hope of ever being able to correct and fix this issue. I’ve tried multiple types of treatments and orthotic devices - with very little success. It wasn’t until my Athlete’s Care Sport therapist Endri Ulaj intervened and started to address the direct cause of a lot of the pain and discomfort I’ve been experiencing over the years. His innovative and effective treatments, and really targeted diagnostic skills - resulted in almost instantaneous improvement, both in terms of pain reduction, as well as the rebuilding of the arches in my feet. The results are truly impressive, and I would quickly refer anyone to the centre and Endri. The Athlete’s Care centre offers a central location for anyone working in the downtown core, and they use a lot of state of the art equipment and diagnostic technology. It’s great seeing the use of tablets and other visual modelling to show patients exactly what is causing their specific pain or challenge. I highly recommend Endri Ulaj - and would gladly refer him to anyone looking for a talented and well trained physiotherapist.
Endri is the man. Done ACL reconstruction recently, he is very freindly and knowledgeable. He knows what he is doing. I'm confident that he will get me where I want. I will update my comment once I'm back to soccer
I've been doing physio for my shoulder (rotator cuff tear) and SI joint with Haider Tirmizey and have noticed a huge difference in a short time. I've worked with many physiotherapists over the years and find Haider has made an incredible difference. His integrated approach to acupuncture, ART, and physio is a great way to get fast results!
I was being seen at another physio for my torn ACL and meniscus and not getting results. I switched to Athletes Care and within my first month, I have seen tremendous results. Dr Presvelos and Endri have helped me so much. They are both attentive and extremely knowledgeable. My pain has decreased and my range of motion is so much better than we expected. With Endri's physio help, I will hopefully be avoiding surgery altogether. Highly recommend.
Linda is the best Physio Therapist I’ve ever had. She’s friendly, nice, and most importantly, knows her stuff. I love everything about this clinic, the service is phenomenal, they’re always on time. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone I know.
I’ve been here for treatments on my knee (torn ACL and miniscus) and separately for back issues. The physiotherapists have been professional, caring & patient with me everytime I’ve been here over the years. The front desk staff are cheerful, professional and so pleasant to deal with every visit.
Endri, my physiotherapist, was very knowledgeable and professional over the course of my treatment. I would recommend him and Athlete's Care to anyone who wants an accurate diagnosis from a team of professionals who genuinely care. Thanks Endri for helping me recover from my summer injury!
The Yonge and King clinic is conveniently located. Victoria DiSabatino provided excellent treatment for my sciatica. She patiently listens to my concerns and understands my issues and renders acupuncture treatments and effective exercises. The acupuncture relieves my pain and speeds up my recovery. The exercises, which I fervently performed, strengthened my muscles and resolved my conditions to a great extent. I am now on my way to full recovery. Victoria is a true professional and I strongly recommend her for your pain management needs.
I was lucky enough to matched with Haider. He was a great physiotherapist. He took time to understand my injury and designed and effective plan to get me back to tip-top form. Haider applied various techniques (stretching, strength training and acupuncture) to ensure j get the results I need. I would highly recommend his services and the stages at Athletes Care.
On Wednesday October 10 I had an appointment to see Dr. Costa at 1:00 pm. However, at 1:40 I was still sitting waiting for Dr. Costa. Nobody had come to me to say that he will be coming soon or something, anything. I was just left to sit. It was then that I realized that Dr. Costa was obviously too busy to see patients and that I might be sitting there until 2:00 pm so I left. Now I know that doctor's appointments don't always work on time.To be late 10 minutes is understandable , 15 to 20 minutes is acceptable, but half an hour or more is arrogance. It is as if the waiting patient had nothing else to do but wait for the doctor to decide to see him or her. If it is taking longer to deal with patients than leave yourself more time. It's no use trying to squeeze patients in when one does not have the time to deal with them properly. As I was leaving one of the receptionists went rushing of to find Dr. Costa I presume, but I was out the door before she could find him. And then there was no certainty that I would not have to wait some more. I had similar problems with Dr. Hiller who kept rescheduling appointments and kept me waiting, but never more than half an hour. On the other hand when I first started having problems with my knee I came to Athletes Care and saw Kate Hood. I had two groups of sessions with her. Unfortunately she was not able to help me, but she was very professional and I have nothing, but good things to say about her. Miro Klement ( you must have my particulars on file)
I have been going to Athletes Care @ King and Yonge for a few months now and have nothing but good things to say about them! All the staff at the front desk are very kind and friendly. My physiotherapist (Endri) is very professional, patient and systematic with his treatment and has helped me with a wide range of injuries I have come in with. I have also seen Dr. Chen (a sports medicine doctor ) who was very thorough and efficient with his assessments to infer an initial diagnosis. Overall, I am very happy with all the services I have received from Athletes Care and will continue to go back and recommend this company to all my friends and family! : )
Endri’s my physical therapist at Athlete’s Care and he has been absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend their services.
Gita Lakra is by far the best Physiotherapist! She takes such pride in her patients. She is a great listener. She made me feel comfortable, she addressed my problem after doing much work and came with a great action plan! I can’t say enough good words about the facility and her.
I’ve had plantar fasciitis for more than two years. They’ve taken me from outright shooting pain in both feet to running again for the first time in years in less than three months. I would recommend Melissa or Gita any day of the week.
