I inquired about her services and was informed her board only allows for video or phone due to covid. I had expressed I am only interested in in person visits as that is what I feel most comfortable with when seeking therapy. She became extremely rude to me and basically told me “good luck” because we are in a lockdown. I ended up calling the CRPO and was told that is not the case and psychotherapists are in fact allowed to practice in person. If this is a personal choice I completely understand as a lot of people are doing what they can to protect themselves but to lie and possibly prevent me from finding a therapist to help me was not right. A lie is not a great start in a therapist/patient relationship! She could have referred me out but I did end up finding someone else who sees patients at their office on my own.

I have had the privilege of working with Amanda from many years. Amanda has a wonderful knowledge of the most up to date evidence based therapies all while having the ability to sincerely convey and believe in her clients self-worth and their dignity. I find in this field, a therapist might have the skills but inability to establish a good solid therapeutic rapport that is meaningful is often difficult to teach. I feel this is where Amanda excels. She is very personable and easy to establish rapport all while nurturing the best in her clientele. I highly recommend her as a therapist.
