while some people may have had a good experience here, i have had a TERRIBLE one. office staff is rude and unhelpful. my appointments are constantly cancelled. they will not allow me to see the doctor, only nurse practitioners. they have sent the WRONG medication to my pharmacy 4 TIMES!! this is truly an awful place if you are looking for a good psychiatrist. save your time and money and go somewhere else.

I am getting TMS. The staff is lovely. Dr. Wassef definitely cares. The procedure takes 18 minutes of brain tapping. I'm in and out in under half an hour on most days.

I happened to find Dr. Wassef out of pure luck during my darkest days. After multiple failed attempts with medications and other therapists that I had tried for my depression and anxiety I called his office to see if I was a candidate for TMS. From my very first phone call and every single visit the staff and environment has been absolutely Amazing! I was willing to give TMS a try because I was running out of options. I did my research and saw that Dr. Wassef is a very educated doctor. After watching videos about TMS I was skeptical but very hopeful! Joanna and Diana made sure to get me the first available appointment, which was the very next day after my first phone call. Dr. Wassef had a consultation with me on his day off on his very own time. Right then I knew he is a doctor that genuinely cares about his patients! Everyone that I talked to about TMS said the same thing, “You will wake up one day and the depression and anxiety will be gone.” I thought this was the craziest thing I ever herd! How can you wake up one day and it be gone? After a few sessions I noticed my anxiety was GONE, but I was still depressed. My husband was able to see a change in me but I was still feeling depressed. I kept going to all of my sessions and I would still ask Joanna and Diana is this going to work I still feel depressed. They reassured me it will to keep coming to my sessions. It was a week later around my 23rd session I woke up one day and felt like a new person! My depression was gone! I am able to laugh again and find interest in all of the things I lost interest in. Life isn’t a struggle anymore! I highly recommend Dr. Wassef office and for anyone suffering like I was to give TMS a try. It is a commitment to go 5 days a week but the staff makes going every day a pleasure rather than a chore. I tell people how it saved my life!

Dr. Wassef is very good but they started a new system I don’t care for. He’s hired several nurse practitioners and if he thinks you’re doing well, you won’t see him but one of them to renew your meds. The last three or four times I was there I saw a different nurse practitioner each time which feels very impersonal.

Unprofessional. They are not therapist! They only manage medication! I have been seeing Dr Wassef or the past 3 months now for psychiatric reasons and I have only been able to have two appointments with him due to several reschedules. When I was able to see him, our appointment were only about 10 minutes because he was late both times and then had to go off to another appointment. The staff is very friendly, but that doesn't excuse the disregard for my care and time. I'm very disappointed in the service I have been given.

I put my trust and faith in Dr. Kazeem and in return he prescribed me something that almost killed me, instead of trying what I told him I've been given in the past and it worked. I have Breast cancer and it's possibly spread into my bones and my mom died to months ago. He's guinea pigging me with various meds, that I refuse to take because all of those are habit forming with bad side affects

Limitations

Johanna and Jerri made the experience a wonderful one, both very knowledgeable and caring. The treatments do work, it takes time and you have to follow the directions.

Dr Wassef, PA’s, and his wonderful office staff - Johanna and Rania - are very friendly, professional, and experienced. Calls are returned very quickly. Appointments have been available pretty quickly if you need it. I believe he accepts a very wide variety of insurance as well. Dr. Wassef has a kind and gentle nature as he explains diagnoses and/or medication very clearly. My husband and I have been seeing Dr Wassef for a few years now regarding stress and the effects it has on anxiety and sleep disorders. He has been extremely helpful. Anyone who sees Dr Wassef will be pleased!!

Diana Rodriguez is the worst office manager ever, she shows no mercy and does not listen to you when you are speaking to her... They require you to see the DR every 3 months so you can get your medicine prescribed, I am only 2 weeks past my 3 months and she is telling me they can't give me any refills! I try to explain to this dr everytime i see them that when this dumb medicine they have me on runs out i feel really funny in my head! I hate this place and the fact that they just prescribe medicine and dont listen to you when you tell them you dont like the way it makes you feel! And NO its not a controlled substance as they ask me every DAMN time i call.. LOOK AT YOUR RECORDS PEOPLE ALL MY MEDICINES IM ON SHOULD BE IN YOUR SYSTEM! Very unorganized organization! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY! UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ON RANDOMN MEDICATIONS THAT DONT MAKE YOU FEEL RIGHT

""Do not recommend this doctor strongly"" Worst place for people who expects a good treatment here and "worst staff ever I have seen in my entire life".first time when they gave me an appointment with Dr Tamer Wassef I drove 40 mins for this appointment and receptionist simply tells me that the doctor is not available for the day he works only Thursday,Friday & Saturday then I questioned why they gave me an appointment on Monday. She says recklessly that somebody did a mistake then I asked why didn't they call me and she says somebody who gave me an appointment forgot to take my number.I was like whatt? But I was like "okay" mistakes happen and I asked them to fix it and not to happen next time and she said Dr wassef is available on Thu,Fri & Sat I thought Saturday is the weekend so it will be convenient and I took the appointment. When I reached there on Saturday the receptionist said firstly the paper work I gave her last time when I went she lost my paperwork and second thing is she gave me my appointment with the nurse practitioner I was like what is this? I was literally shocked how can she do this to me again. I told her again and again I want an appointment with Dr Wassef and said donot repeat it again because I'm traveling 40 mins from my place for this appointment. She did the same thing again. How can she be so stupid to do the same mistake.I was really mad & I questioned her what's wrong with her she said "if I want an appointment with Dr Wassef I have to wait two weeks since she disappointed me first time she wants to give me another earliest appointment with the nurse practitioner" without my permission and when I particularly mentioned I want an appointment with Dr Wassef. I recommend strongly please do not waste your valuable time by going to this place.I did not met Dr Wassef but I can guess what kind of a doctor he can be if he hired the staff who are so irresponsible like this. So again please don't waste your time. They are not worthy!!!!

Dr. Wassef is the most well versed Dr in the field of psychiatry.I have been seeing the Dr in excess of 2 1/2 years and can honestly say he’s not just a pill pusher he’s there to speak to you whenever necessary. The Doctor and his staff have mastered the use of TMS therapy and it’s well worth the time to try TMS Treatment. His assistants Raina and Joanna are the best making sure you’re comfortable during every visit

I experienced one major issue with Dr. Wassef- I specifically chose him because he claimed "medication management" and yet after each 3 month fill of my medication I received, I had issues getting an appointment/ getting my refills in time- to the point where I stopped taking my medication! I left my previous doctor because he retired, Dr. Bishop, who in my ten years of seeing I have never ONCE had to call him for a refill or appointment- he always made sure it was done for me. I think this is really important for mental health patients who don't necessarily have the motivation to ensure this themselves. He's the doctor after all. After twice having issues with getting an appointment/ refills on time, I just stopped trying to work with this doctor, who has never even called to ask why or check in. I find this office really ingenuine, I do not feel that they care for patients. When my last fills were up, I decided not to call (bc I'm not going to have to keep doing that) and decided it's time to just not have to worry about dealing with situations/ Dr's/ finding a new doctor. Really disappointed in Dr. Wassef's office and I do not recommend it.

I had a great experience with TMs at Care First. I’vd been a patient of Dr. Wassef for over 8 years, and I have only experienced caring and compassionate care. When he suggested TMS, I trusted his judgment. It worked for me and I feel a lot better and have more energy. The TMS staff, Joanna and Diana, are equally caring, compassionate and flexible. If I had to reschedule or got caught up in traffic, never experienced a problem. They were knowledgeable about the treatment protocol, and any issue would immediately be referred to Dr. Wassef. I highly recommend getting TMS at Care First Medical.

I found Dr. wassef to be unprofessional and UNETHICAL. He had no concern for my well being. He was difficult to get in touch with. He didn't remember or keep records of the medication i was on. His office staff was extremely rude and incompetent. Please do yourself a favor and do not choose him for a psychiatrist. I wish I could have given him a negative rating.

His staff Janabelle ( I hope I spelled that right) and especially Johanna are wonderful.
