Inquired about making an appointment for local transportation, this guy named Amer Al-Arami, was rude and unhelpful.

Had to wait in line outside for covid screening. One side of entrance is enter and other side is exit due to covid but signage for entrance was not clear if you are a first time visitor. Very slow to get through screening. Eating and consuming beverages as a visitor is currently only allowed in the cafe. Accessibility is good, including washrooms. Ambulatory care was quiet on one visit and busy on another. Didn't wait long for check in but a bit rude and dismissive.

My father has been hospitalized for a total of 4.5 months with liver chirross and acute kidney failure, and started dailysis. My dad was transferred to Bridgepoint once he was medically stable since he needed a lot of work with physiotherapy before coming home. The staff and the physio team are very pleasant. I was very confident that my dad would do well here the first day i went to visit him. The atmosphere and the view amazed me. Im glad he is home now considering he was under a 72 hour timeline as per Markham stoufville hospital back March.

I just called Bridgepoint Family Health Team - Prenatal Clinic following the instructions on the website as it states "Open to all patients at BFHT, as well as outside referrals". A woman answered with a very aggressive attitude from the start, providing an answer even before I could speak and share what I was looking for "We are not taking new patients", then challenging what was stated in the website. Finally, she continued to reply with an increasingly fighting attitude when I asked if there was any other family doctor that could help me. I had to tell her that I was having a terrible experience with her - to which she answered " I am not having a good experience with you either, OK?!" It is not usual to find angry people spreading hate in medical centers and certainly does not feel encouraging especially when you are in need of a doctor. This deserves a review so people can learn that Bridgepoint Family Health TEam - Prenatal clinic is not a safe place to go. Imagen if this woman is in charge of your info and appointments? Still feel astonished minutes after this experience.

I wanted to share my experience regarding my stay at Bridge Point. Excellent care, since I had a hip revision surgery done at Mount Sianai Toronto and was transported for phsyio. The physio staff are very efficient, caring and work hard to help a patient reach their acquired results. The nursing care was excellent as well. Thank you.

The best rehab I have ever experienced right from the front door with the ambulance staff! I will forever be indebted to everyone there. They are the best!

Very good. Spent just over a month there for a broken hip Physio was great and very well graduated. Offered me more outpatient physio when I was done. Was the best hospital food I've ever had. The only down, and id was slight, was often calling nurse to reming her that it was time for pain killers. The best hospital experience I've ever had. ** Update** I was in again, this time for M.S. complications. It has gone downhill. Used to be 5 star and is now 3 - at best. The food was pretty bad - often inedible. The Tim Horton's on the second floor is not an option on bad food days. They have very limited selection, don't make sandwiches or have soups. If it ain't brown, they don't have it ;).

Bridgepoint may be fine as a medical facility-- I have no way of knowing. They are not a good neighbour however. They have an HVAC system which is always noisy -- sort of like being on the apron of an airfield -- and often can be heard as far as three blocks away.

Palliative Care Unit - It has taken me several weeks to write this review to ensure my emotions were settled and be able to provide a proper review.. Our experience with the Palliative Care Unit at Bridgepoint was horrible! My father was admitted to this unit as a case of emergency and we were transferred here from our local hospital. We came into these premises with the hope we could get help with his care; especially my mother. My father was quickly deteriorating due to his cancer and the horrible side effects of the only medication that could control his pain, Hydromophone. When you first come into this building you are truly taken away by the "new" structure and the attention you get the 1st day you arrive. By the time you have reached two weeks, reality starts to kick in and you can't help to notice all the alarming things going on, especially when speaking about some of the nurses. To site just a few examples, after two weeks of being at this place - which incidentally is the time period they will constantly tell you your love one has - they stop making the bed/changing the sheets, assisting with bathing your loved ones, cleaning the room, delivering the wrong food (diet requirements), providing utensils that are broken (bent forks), advise on symptoms to look for in your patients, and the WORST, the midnight nurse. I cannot say all the nurses that took care of my father were this awful because I will admit, some of those nurses are doing their job, but there was one who was incredibly rude and who was sited here in other reviews - a complete monster. As my father was "agonizing" during his last few days, this woman "fought" me in the middle of the night (1 a.m.) denying a medication for my father. I even video taped her as I had seen how incredibly rude she was: she would suck her teeth at me when I would ask her questions, ignore me, and among her colleagues she is described as lazy and rude. To make matters worst, she took 4 hours (5 a.m.) to provide the medication to my father and when she injected him, it was as she was injecting a horse. All to which my mother and I cried out alarmed and her answer was: "what? do you see him screaming of pain?" My father passed 2 days after. These same midnight nurses, we caught them sleeping at the station in the middle of the night while bed alarms were going off like crazy. I caught several patients in the middle of the night wondering the hallways, some crying for a nurse- my mother and I NEVER left my father's side a single day - and these poor souls would be half naked, completely confused and dazed out (all due to the massive narcotics they are on) and the nurses missing in action. Again, I am speaking about "two" specific nurses, one which THANK GOD retired, but believe the other monster is still there. As if this is not bad enough, majority of the day nurses are "students" which there is nothing wrong with that, but when dealing with such delicate cases - border line dying patients - is unacceptable. Another reason why my mother and I NEVER left my father's side a single day....day or night. Because of us doing majority of the work for some of these nurses, they deprived us of focusing on the most important thing you want during this time, time with your loved one!. At the end my poor mother and I were so sleep deprived, and tired, we were exhausted! It is sad that such poor staff puts a dim light on those good nurses who do a good job. I even have pictures of how they put a port on my father's calve and left him with this "huge" bubble - where the medicine was accumulated and never circulated - causing him even more pain than his own disease. This happened under the supervision of "every doctor" and registered nurse. To sum up, I HIGHLY discourage ANYONE to go here. Our total stay at this place was 2 and a half months, but have my mother and I have not been watching over my father as we did, I am pretty sure he would have died a lot sooner from lack of proper attention. This is our opinion based on pictures, and videos we have .

This place is a absolute discrace. My Mother was a patient and was discharged and sent home. Once getting my mum home she couldn't sit up, stand, or even do a simple task like lean forward to wipe herself on the toilet. All of these she could do before her "rehabilitation" at Bridgepoint. The doctors, administrators, and everyone involved with my mothers care should be ashamed of themselves. That being said my mum speaks highly of the majority of the nursing staff, and I thank them for the care they showed her. To those who helped my mum I offer my most sincere thanks. To those who decided to discharge her in this condition I hope you rot in the pits of hell.

My Grandmother has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The cancer is spreading rather slowly. She was admitted here back in December 2016 and she's still there. My family including my cousins aunts and uncles all takes shifts to ensure someone is there at all times. Now there's good reason for this, the care there is just horrible. So just to give you a few examples, my grandmother rooms with another patient who has difficult moving and seeing. When she calls for the nurse because she's in pain, they tell her that they'll be there immediately, but does not attend to her until an hour later. Since she has a tough time seeing and moving, she request to be fed. When she requested that the nurse ignored here and walked away. When she buzzed the nurse again the nurse came in and removed her food. Unfortunately she has no visitors and therefore we are unable to let her family know about this situation. Because my grandmother has been there for a while she had a few room mates who has came and gone. Another room mate was moaning in pain, so one of my family members requested a nurse to attend to her. The nurse response was like "oh that's just how she is, she's just restless". So my family member decided to just check in herself. The poor lady was shivering and was basically naked. So my family member had to quickly put the blanket over her and let the nurse know. I eventually told that lady's family member but she passed away shortly. A lot of this is occurring during the evening and over night. The overnight nurses just don't care. We even caught them sleeping at their work station. When we requested them to assist my grandmother to the washroom, they said they'll be there in a moment...a few minutes passed so we walked over to their station...they were just sitting there socializing and you bet we let them know how concerning that is. They have poor communication there. They messed up my grandmother's amount of food intake, they reused some of the items when they are supposed to replace. I can go on and on, but long story short, if you planning on admitting a love one there, be prepared to be there for them, because more than half the time, you'll be doing the nurses job because they just don't give a f@c# for a lack of a better word. I've read other reviews, and it can be different in other parts of the hospital. But i'm pretty sure most people doesn't have someone there 24/7 to see the actual care received.

I was very impressed at the level of compassion and customer service my mother received at BridgePoint after suffering a Stroke. I was there on a daily basis and from day one I could see and feel the warmth and genuine concern for my mother's welfare. Great job BridgePoint! Your great staff training is being executed perfectly!

Palliative Care Floor After having to make a very difficult decision as my dad's health was deteriorating. We were given the advice that Bridgepoint Palliative Care was a great place. So we trusted that unfortunate advice. You will not notice it at first because you are exhausted and dealing with so much. I mean the care! My dad kept asking when he was going to come home?? We knew in our hearts that he wasn't and tried to make him as comfortable as possible. Of course we relyed on the nurses to treat my dad well. After a week or so we saw that some of the nurses were rather rough and cold. My dad was just a number to some. You would think that at this stage of life a person is entitled to a compassionate manner? Some of the nurses were in school/training. I realize it is there everyday job but they chose it and should know better. My dad was told off and had to apologize and was very upset. I do believe that one of the caregiver/nurses that I am talking about has retired? Thank God!! As we watched all this unfold it was to late to move my dad. I was so horrified. At the end we asked to be called. We never got the call. My dad passed away ALONE!! I will never ever forget this. I will never ever recommend Bridgepoint Palliateve Care!! Please be aware and research your options before you make a decision. Make sure it is a good fit.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and all staff at BridgePoint Acive Healthcare, who were associated with the care of my father. The care, professional, attention was exemplary and truly amazing. The food was nutritious, well presented and flavourful. The rooms and premises were very clean. The facilities and programs organized to keep the patients engaged and welcome were commendable. The computer room, TV facility and bright lunch area was a great way to break the monotony of the daily routine if any !! My special thanks to Dr. Tammy, Dr. Heather, Heather and Jennifer who enabled my father to make full recovery. The nurses and staff were always available and able to assist if there was any concerns. I feel truly blessed to have access to such excellent level of health care and rehab. This recovery would not have happened without the support, encouragement and facilities of your institution. Please accept my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the amazing work that your staff do for the community.

Speaking as an outsider, the palliative care unit at Bridgepoint is the bomb. There are reasons as to why nurses don't attend certain patients. From experience, patients reach a certain point where they stop feeling uncomfortable, therefore it is reasonable not to attend to their needs immediately. A colleague of mine has received complaints of her attitude, though from what I heard, she did her responsibilities as a nurse. Good for those nurses who do more than what the job requires, but they are only setting expectations too high for the rest of us nurses. There is no reason we should get the dirty look from those families that show no gratitude.
