Great experience today. I felt like my concerns were heard, a lot of my clinic experiences lately have felt very rushed and disingenuous. I had questions answered and I felt comfortable that I got the help I needed. Friendly and welcoming staff. I feel like I have a good resource for health care now, until I can hopefully get a family doctor.
I called Emerg through another Department. They put me through, l asked about wait time, they wouldn't answer, asked how many people were there. The answer was sorry lm not in the Department! Like what?? Yes you are. Bunch of BS! I drove there, my husband drove, checked Waiting Room, pathetic. I should have rated 2 Stars!
I have had 2 very good experiences with the emergency room. Staff were quick to process both times I visited.
Such a GREAT hospital. I had the best of care beginning with the ER to the end of my hospitalization. The staff, doctors and nurses that attended to me were extremely dedicated to my well-being. I'm thankful I also have this continued care of Dr. Shim and the complete oncology team(s). Thank you!
The staff is the friendliest I have come across in years, they were the only ones to take my situation seriously. Although I am still waiting in pain to get a call for an emergency surgery three days later, the nurses and the doctors have a wonderful bedside manor. I have a severe phobia of needles and they were very kind and great at what they do.
Horrendous experience. Came in with a 4 yr old with a head wound still fresh with blood dripping. Ended up having multiple people (who registered long after us) getting treatment before us. Nurses at the triage need training or valid academic degrees. Mild skin irritation that gets the same urgency as a head laceration: I doubt these people are actual medical professionals. I am speechless, truly at a loss for words.
To the doctor on duty at 7:00pm February 27th in the Green Zone THANK YOU for your understanding and help! After a 9 hour wait, both at a walk-in clinic and then emerg, we walked away knowing that there are those in the medical field who do their best to meet their patient's needs. We would give you 5 stars! Unfortunately, I found the two nurses on at Triage in the afternoon very abrupt, rude and, frankly, not very understanding at all. I strongly feel that the nurses need to put themselves in the patient's shoes, just as many of us try to see what they have to endure during their shifts.
I hate to rate my local hospital so low, but I have to say that signs are very confusing at this place. I can hardly find the main entrance of this hospital! Am I kidding? Absolutely no! This is a true story occurs to anyone who doesn’t work here. I have no idea how they built this hospital. So poorly and unreasonably designed. Anyway, I won’t make any trip to this location at night anymore. Even during the day, I have to be very careful.
I got surgery a at PRHC, anesthesiologist, surgeon, and the nurses were awesome! Only stayed one night, and now we're out!
How can a hospital refuse to see someone who is injured just because they cannot wear a mask due to severe anxiety? Double vaxxed and wearing a shield is not good enough. A mask will put this person in a panic attack, and with high blood pressure that is not helpful
Actually the cable is 180 a month and I don't think it's outrageous. My dad is currently in the hospital and the nurses on whole are quite good. The hospital lay out I believe is set up to allow more space for rooms on the all floors and it seems just the lobby is a bit wide open but there are times when it is packed.
Husband had ice fall and hit his head. He goes in and waits 5 plus hours. People go in ahead of him with less issues. Finds out they wrote down head ache instead of possible concussion from falling ice. Guess what he had. Yup concussion.
I was at PRHC ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO , NOW.Badley sprained my wrist. From the first time I went to check in and was released, it was 6 hours.I cannot say enough for these very hard working emerg family, they worked like clock work, pleasant, compassionate, I was treated with respect since I walked in the doors., Ptbo should be very very proud of this dept, I would not hesitate to go back.3 CHEERS FOR THE EMERGANCY DEPT...HIPHIP HOORAY HIPHIP HOORAY❤❤❤
Need more ER Dr.s
Went here few years back for something, was there for 8+ hours. Seems that things haven't changed. Must be short staffed for the ED to take so long to get to people.
Very efficiant
One of the worst experiences of my life. No help whatsoever just left me there for hours threatening a psych lock up because I begged for a doctor I was in so much pain
Very nice modern hospital.
Still extremely busy place. So there is a bit of a wait. But as far as hospitals go, it is pretty good most of the nurses and doctors are great, but there are a couple of nurses that aren't very nice, there is a Tim hortons inside and also the cafeteria has surprisingly really good food for a hospital cafeteria, sometimes its a bit of a wait I have sat in a room waiting for a doctor to see me really fast and easy for over an hour. And that wasn't a pleasant wait time at all.
Excellent care, and fairly well expedited service in the ER. Given that it is an emergent care facility, you know you have to wait. Their triage system appeared sensible, based on potential life-threatening issues.
Parking pricing is insane, if you can't make it into the hospital what is the use? Just too far for say someone with COPD. Sometime you may have to exercise your rights.
ICU is amazing, the doctors and nurses are one if a kind. They are so helpful and informative not to mention outstanding in what they do.They really deserve the praise....a deep thank you to you all!
Horrible I pretty sure I was drugged doctor didn't tell me there was alcohol in my system. They made a assumption due to my past I was drinking. I don't even drink! That's a sign they missed and they ignored the marks on me. Refused to call Woman's health it took victim services to call. They missed obvious information and symptoms. How is that doing your job? They treat me always like I'm not even a human I'm some kind of animal. They are rude and when I'm hard to handle suicidal they just give me drugs that knock me out and release me. I've even been released and still sorta out of it. Horrible hospital.
This hospital is so bad the staff there wont let me in to see my girl friend that is having my baby so because of them I now have missed the berth of my baby and yes my girl friend has told them that I was coming up and now two times I have not been able to see her or my baby what a great hospital this town has should have stayed in Toronto well after this I will defiantly be moving back. Wow what a hospital!! What a joke!! Thanks a lot P.R.H.C
If I could give this place zero stars I would. If you’re a POC, ur better off finding a different hospital or going to a walk in clinic than going here.
The hospital and staff are great but the parking cost sucks. We should not have to pay Toronto prices for parking. Peterborough is a lower income retirement area. Lower the cost so normal people can afford it.
The manager in the labor and delivery unit is rude.
Every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and professional. I felt like I got great service. I would prefer not to be a repeat customer... but if I was I know I would be in good hands
Been there lots in last 7 years. Wife has been well looked after.
Was born here, would be born here again.
This ED is badly understaffed. Can't blame the staff, but I can sure blame the management team for running things so poorly. Year after year we hear it's because of budget issues. Look, PRHC... EVERY hospital in the country complains about budget issues. Most of them haven't cut staffing to completely demoralizing levels for their team the way you have. Get it together.
Terrible. Just terrible. Miserable and overworked staff. So overworked that it is obvious they can't even care for the people that come in for help. I noticed the washroom I used was filthy. I mentioned this to a staff and was told "Well then clean it yourself as I am busy". Sad that this is where I had to take my Dad after he had had a fall. I could go on but I think you get the idea.
I was booked for a procedure this past Wednesday. I was to be there at 10am and arrived at 945am. Was taken by pre-op nurse at 10am, check lists done, vitals done, very thorough, passed on the a kind person in the change room, then offered warm blanket while waiting in pre-op waiting room, then offered one when moved to stretcher, more checklists, kindness, reassurance and humour from anesthesiologist, recovery nurses were so kind. The whole experience was good from being to end. Well done PRHC!
I noticed a review about shouldn't be paying Toronto Parking Prices. Guess what? you're not. Your parking prices are about a 1/3 of the cost. Parking max's out at $10 per day. In St. Catharines it is about $24.
This is where My dad passed away and they where very polite and understanding they didn't beat around the bush they where honest and very compassionate
Over all it is a great hospital! NICU staff were very knowledgeable, caring and friendly. The care by parent rooms are fantastic and have a fridge, sink, microwave, tv and some cupboards plus a bed and telephone. Labour and delivery staff were all friendly and compassionate. Luckily, I only encountered one unfriendly nurse. The Tim Hortons in the hospital is open 24 hours as well.
Pretty great hospital. Nice and clean, fairly new. Staff is more or less friendly. Doctors are typical snobby doctors but what can you do about that!
I've been in Emergency, had several tests and had surgery a few times and each time I have been treated extremely well! Everyone in each department were courteous, kind and caring! I thank all for their service, especially at this crazy time!
Wow, wow, wow! My most humble thanks and admiration for PRHC! My recent visit to the hospitals cardiology department was one of the most wonderful experiences I have ever had in a hospital. Absolutely every part of my visit, starting in emergency, to CT scan, to emergency, to cardiology depart was amazing from start to finish. Even the after care! I was met every step of the way by kind, compassionate, and courteous PROFESSIONALS! I can't say enough to state how thankful and blessed I was! A BIG THANK YOU to ALL who dealt with ME and to PRHC for making my care and stay, in spite of its nature, a comforting, peaceful, and confident stay!
Whoever they have answering phones at the POP clinic needs a new job. The most unfriendly and rude receptionist I have ever spoken to. Get a job in a field where you don’t talk to people it’s quiet obvious you hate your job. Don’t work somewhere where you’re miserable that involves working with people who have sick children who have enough stress as it is.
Kept bouncing me from clinic to clinic. Offered no help
Emergency is very slow. Checked in at 1am Wednesday morning. I've been the only person in the blue zone for 3.5hrs now. Someone came else came into the blue zone under a half hour ago, they've just been seen and left. Now I'm the only person in the blue zone again, 4:30am Wednesday.
Hospitals are never a fun place and you'll always have the good and the bad nurses, but in my experience, PRHC has been wonderful by in large.
My mother has been In PRHC now for almost 2 months. The staff on D2 have been absolutely wonderful to her. The nurses are always friendly with her they don’t “rush” her and the doctor visits her daily and keeps me up to date with everything. I live out of town and Call frequently to “check up” on her - and even over the phone they are kind and never make me feel like I’m bothering them - although I’m sure I am at times. Thank you Peterborough Regional for making my mother’s last few months a pleasant experience for both her and myself. Please “like” if this was helpful
After multiple negative experiences and countless stories I feel somewhat compelled to say something. Do not go to this hospital unless you have a referred appointment from your family doctor. The ER is almost always slow (except seemingly during covid-19), the mental health crisis centre works on old outdated ideas and will LITERALLY have the cops throw you out. Multiple stories of people being told they're fine at ptbo hospital and then the problem being discovered elsewhere. Some of the staff seem genuinely good. But something is terribly wrong at Peterborough hospital. Probably because no one in Canada can seem to find family doctors. Go to Bancroft, Bowmanville, Toronto, or almost anywhere other than Peterborough hospital in my experience. For now at least.
I sat in the emergency room with 4 others people for 2 hours with a broken collarbone, I had to sit through watching crackheads beg for opioids and people yelling, it’s 2am nurses are rude and ill mannered and the doctors sure do like to take an hour each patient
The best care I've had in my life, treated me so well, bless the nursing staff here ????
Regardless of wait times many of us wont go here and will goto other cities to get proper care. So many of us have had loved ones go in and not get proper diagnoses, not get taken seriously, Poor treatment etc... Many people who have gone with critical issues have died months later. For regular serious injuries I personally have gone in bleeding internally, had serious panic attacks or serious wounds and been left there while the room has already cleared twice over. I went to the hospital with severe abdominal pain which has now properly been diagnosed as a symptom of severe anxiety and stress. Every time I went in they wouldn't even give me pain killers. On the third time the Dr said this to me " Were not gods. Sometimes people just have to live with their pain ".. Those words haunt me. If I was on my death bed Id beg to goto Toronto. Got stuck in psych ward after a car accident.. they barely fed us in there. A single muffin and cup of tea is not a fit breakfast! Goto Cobourg, Port hope.. Avoid prhc & lindsay.. Lindsay wont even set a kids broken arm.. Nearly forgot.. Though the Dr who fixed my leg was amazing. After a Compound fracture of my femur I was left in care at prhc for 1 week. The weekend nurse's were amazing.. Come monday I was in hell.. They left me on a commode for 45 minutes while I literally screamed in agony for them to return me to my bed. What should have been 5 minutes then back to bed turned in to a hellish nightmare. Those nurses involved were only there for a pay cheque. I could tell I was nothing more than a nuisance to them. 1 plate & 9 rods to rebuild my leg and they did that to me.
end up hurting more after
First, the artist's rendering of the hospital and area (currently in use for the hospital's Google Local business listing) looks quite a bit nicer than the real thing: While the new hospital has been open for what must now be nearly a decade, much of the area around it still looks like scrubland - like it has yet to be properly cleaned up and finished after construction finished. I also am not a fan of much of the design of the hospital, nor with some of the poor road/traffic planning around the hospital (which isn't a fault of the hospital). The 4 star rating, however, is related to recent experiences with a relative having various appointments, and outpatient and inpatient surgeries. The doctors (not a hospital issue), hospital staff, treatment and outcome have all been better than we could hope for. While PRHC is not perfect, it certainly can compete and compare on par with most similar community hospitals anywhere in Canada, the U.S., and elsewhere. As well, with experience working in the former Civic Hospital as well as hospitals in Toronto, I have long said - and continue to say - that I would rather be a patient at Peterborough hospital than ANY hospital in Toronto, unless I needed to be in Toronto for a service that is not available in Peterborough. It's also worth noting and pointing out that there are FAR too many patients from the Greater Peterborough Area (GPA) that still need to be transferred to Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa or elsewhere for services that SHOULD be available locally. The GPA feeds in more than enough patients to cardiac and neurosurgery, as only two examples, in other Ontario hospitals to warrant that those services be provided here in Peterborough or, at a minimum, that the services be provided in Oshawa. With 300,000 in the GPA and more than 600,000 in Durham Region (roughly a million people) there is more than sufficient population and demand for additional services closer to home. If Newfoundland & Labrador (population 530,000) can support a medical school, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, major trauma, high risk obstetrics and Level III NICU, and a children's hospital - among other services - then this provides even more evidence to support more of these types of services being available locally, or at least closer to Peterborough. Our recent experiences with PRHC have been excellent. However, food services needs improvement - and that has LONG been something noted by many. On a trip last week to get a sandwich the choices were curried chickpea or curried cream cheese. Both sounded disgusting to the patient. It was also a convoluted and long process to get tv/phone service - resulting in the hospital losing a day of rental money; something hospitals can't afford to be losing out on in this day and age when they are concerned about and looking at every avenue of "revenue generation."
Was very busy, but the staff was very friendly and eager to help you out.
Been dealing with the Peterborough hospital since I was a child suffering from a lung illness. The doctors & nurses I have had the pleasure of working with have been honest, understanding & amazing. I’ve had the best care of my life in this hospital & continue to get.
While the staff and treatment received have been exemplary, the building itself is a huge white elephant, and not the least bit user friendly from a visitor perspective. While waiting to see a doctor in emerg last week, my husband got hungry. Since his health problems have pretty much wiped out his appetite, when he is hungry I need to find him something to eat relatively quickly, before the urge passes. Not in the best of health myself, I was not prepared to make the trek out of emerg, up the stairs, and continue half the length of the building to the main entrance, where I would have to continue to trek the width of the building to get to the cafeteria, in hopes of finding it open (which doesn't happen often). Most likely, my husband's desire for something to eat would have disappeared before I got back with food. I went to the emerg waiting room, where there was a vending machine offering nothing but junk food - chocolate bars, chips, candy. Not the best diet for someone battling cancer, or any other disease for that matter. I settled on a bag of hickory sticks, as it seemed the less evil of the offerings. I would expect a hospital to ensure that healthier options were available to patients. On previous visits, when my husband was a patient in A3, I found it very difficult to get up to his room. When the hospital first opened I could get dropped at the north doors and get on an elevator, which took me right up to where I needed to go. There are two elevators - one was for staff only, the other one was available to patients and visitors. At some point the powers that be, in their wisdom, or lack thereof, made both elevators available to staff only. Not fair! As residents of Peterborough, we contributed enough towards the new building that we should at least be able to get around it without exhausting ourselves in the process. I should point out that the elevators to the right when entering the north doors, are also all designated as staff only. It's just not right to make the hospital such an inhospitable place for visitors, who spend many, many hours caring for their loved ones who are patients. Perhaps some of the money collected from the exorbitant parking fees could be directed to making the hospital more visitor friendly.
Sent home not cared for
unreasonably rude staff
My wife just recently gave birth at the hospital. The Labour and Delivery unit staff, nurses, anesthesiologists, obstetricians and surgeons were extremely skilled and really helped ease us through some scary moments. However, the recovery unit is a mess, there are not nearly enough rooms or beds. Babies are left screaming for hours. SOME staff are dismissive and rude, and few seem to genuinely care. We were forced into a tiny room with a couple of very unhealthy people coughing and not wearing masks. Concerns respectfully brought up with staff were not taken seriously.
Nurses eat junk food in front of nurses station and ignore you
Worse hospital don't go to it
the nicu staff were simply amazing! great care was provided and they made us feel like we we're family and that it was more than a job for these people.
I am so grateful for the Doctors and Nurses in the Emergency department who looked after my elderly Mother-in-law over the past year and a half. They have treated her with great respect, kindness and compassion. She has been sent to the specialists she needed to see and been treated very well. She doesnt have a family Dr so she goes to the ER. Thankyou to Dr. Brian for taking the time to find out my Mother-in-law is very anemic and giving her the iron infusion she really needed and also for the followup appointments. The nurses are angels in disguise! Thankyou so much for your kindness and compassion! I also went to the ER last week because i had fallen and had really bad backpain. I had xrays and a test to find out i had an infection which contributed to my pain. Thankyou Dr. A. Jeffery for your kindness and compassion also. I feel very confident about moving to the Peterborough area knowing there is such a Great Hospital for people to go to if the need arises. Thankyou again!!
Visited the emergency over the weekend and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. My nurse Chris and Dr.Wachsmuth were outstanding in their bedside manners. Thank you we do appreciate you.
My daughter went to the er, on more than a couple occasions with stomach pain and was never fully looked at.
I delivered my first little one here a week ago today and haven't stopped thinking about how wonderful all of the nurses in labour and delivery were. I had an unexpected c section and all of the nurses and doctors were quick to act , very positive , and extremely caring . They made me feel at ease during an unpredictable time. After delivery nurses were also so sweet . We (my husband , baby, and I ) stayed at the hospital for three nights. I have no words to express my gratitude in how much patient they were in taking care of both me, and my baby. As a first time mom I had / have so many questions and required a lot of assistance . They were quick to help and you can tell they genuinely care. Thank you for a wonderful birth experience despite the unpredictable outcome of labour !
I've been to a couple of hospitals and this one has the shortest wait time by far. In Richmond hill there is a hospital were I waited 10 hours in the emergency room and the doctor finally saw me and my father. My dad had a kidney stone and he was in terrible pain and it took forever for them to finally see him and diagnose him. Here in Peterborough it was a few hours wait and we saw a doctor. Wasnt too bad. The parking is the same where ever u go. Expensive for no reason. All in all it's a good hospital, they have a lot of specialists working there so treatment isnt so bad.
Hands down best hospital experience I have had in Canada. The hospital was clean and actually running well! The staff were friendly and considerate. The nurses even remembered my name when I had to have a second surgery shortly after the first. The nurses were very accomodating as I was helpless for a while post surgery and they took excellent care of me. I was very impressed after the chaos I have seen in other hospitals in Ontario.
Watched a girl carried in by her parents who were just in a car accident be treated terribly. Nurse would not speak to the parents but instead had them continuously attempt to wake the girl from unconsciousness so the triage nurse could covid assess her and speak to her herself, then proceeded to have this still unconscious girl wait in the waiting room with her parents. An unconscious girl. In a car accident. Absolutely disgusting. (Happened Nov. 28th 2021).
The doctors are extremely professional and level headed. It's a nice change.
what can i say about the nurses and staff at the birthing and delivery unit at Peterborough Regional health center. They are all truly angels. So helpful and kind, bringing you anything you need and always there when you need them. My Daughter was recently delivered there. Delaire was such a great Obstetrician, very simpathetic. Thank you all for my Daughters and wifes healthy and safe delivery.
Clean and helpful
You just never know if it will be a long wait or not but any time I have gone its been relatively quick . The staff are all very nice..
friendly knowledgeable staff, did not have to wait long for my appointment.
Extensions aren't updated and never gt to right persons. The operator only has what she has! Arrgghh
Solid and caring staff and a well run hospital. They took great care of my family.
The nurse's are hard working most of the time , but when your waiting for a doctor for 2 hours and all you see are doctors and nurse's talking about their trip to god knows where , and how they want to keep their tan but can't afford it. Like come on people don't wanna hear that while waiting in pain
Basically my home away from home Nurses and doctors are super friendly and helpful
I hate this hospital. And the staff. They basically were killing my newborn. He has a heart defect and some other issues; they didn’t treat him for any of his issues just kept force feeding him and making him vomit. I’ve had numerous issues with this hospital starting when I had my first son in 2016. I hate that there isn’t another option closer. From now on I’ll be getting them to transfer my children straight to SickKids or taking them there myself. I will refuse to use this hospital.
Best Hospital I have ever been in. From the moment I entered the Admin to my Post-Op to my Surgery and discharge! Absolutely fabulous caring staff especially in the CC Unit. Environment was so clean, quiet and relaxing. If I could, I would rate my overall stay “10”! Thank you EVERYONE for your sincere care. Especially Dr. Cox and the surgical team on March 27 @ 8am
Exceptional quality..
I have tried to engage the staff in the emergency room at the Peterborough Hospital on numerous occasions to assist my wife with a chronic pain issue. I have found the group, for the most part, trying to assist those they can. But I can say, that I have witnessed poor attitude and behaviours being demonstrated by a charge nurse on more that one occasion. My wife had one nurse be verbally abusive. We followed all of the protocols that they asked us to. Sitting in the waiting room is understandable when busy, yet I have been there myself when it had 3 people and it was mid afternoon. Still sat for hours. I have tried numerous times to reach out and possibly address this situation. It appears as though PRHC has a poor standard and wants to continue it moving forward. How do you advocate for someone when the people who should be supporting are not, and with no support in sight. It is unfortunate that this comment will not be properly addressed. Further supports my initial suspicion.
If you give PRHC a bad review because you had to wait in the ER to be seen then you are not that sick. The staff here are amazing
The staff at this hospital are the nicest nurse I've seen since being back down in this region. They are so helpful cheerful and care about the patient. My son was transferred here from a different hospital and they have been nothing but excellent with him . Explained what they were doing and why and made him feel at ease l. Soo inpressed
best hospital around here doctors nurses and others treated fast and polite female doctors yesterday young tiny thing needs a promotion
The kind staff is very respectful of autonomy and personal boundaries
My 7 mo baby has a head injury. I came to emergency they sent me home with an appointment so we came and no one will see us. This was the 3rd hospital to turn us away! I wanted to make a complaint and they "couldn't find" the right person who takes complaints. If I was a white woman with a white child I would have been treated much differently and we would have been seen no problem. Racism is alive and well at Peterborough hospital. Be cautious natives.
Idk I just felt like giving it a 1, might upgrade to a 5 later if I'm having a good day
The staff there are very friendly and so helpful make your self an appointment call early for best times all medical staff are awesome.
My experience at the Women's Health Care Centre was excellent. Staff were very friendly, the wait was almost non-existent, and nurse practitioner Monica took the time to hear all of my concerns and suggest testing above and beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend booking an appointment here!
It was my first visit in Emergency and I was truly impressed. Especially the security and their professional approach while dealing with so many People, those who were shouting and behaving inappropriately. Doctors to Nurses, all were so friendly and full of passion. Keep up the good work and Thank You.
Within the past week I've made 3 trips to PRHC (plus 2 phone calls) in relation to a friend who has been admitted to psychiatry. Not thrilled with much of the design of the hospital, nor the south entrance short route to get to psychiatry, which is very much like coming in through the loading docks/maintenance area ... in fact, the loading docks are right next to the south entrance, and to the loading docks I first went ... trying to find how I get in ... where this "south entrance" was, as it was dark, and the south entrance sign is NOT lit. Anyway ... the MOST important thing, when it comes right down to it, is the care the patient is receiving. From my limited contact/experience I'm impressed/pleased. Despite his delusional state, I'm pleased and impressed that my friend has had nothing negative, at all, to say about the staff, doctors, hospital. He recognizes he needs to be there, and seems content that he is there. The staff have been VERY friendly. The nurses were delightful -- albeit during my very limited contact / brief visits. It's comforting to leave your friend/loved ones in the care of people who at least appear/act pleasant, happy to be there, caring. It would certainly add to the stress for family members to leave their loved one with a Nurse Ratched type, or even just staff who don't appear to care or want to be there. So this is, actually, a credit both to the staff in inpatient psychiatry and to the hospital, because it isn't the case in EVERY area, from my experience -- particularly Emerg triage could perhaps work on trying to at least LOOK/ACT like they don't resent having to be there.
A few experiences. Had my son there on 2013, I must say, lovely staff there, so kind, caring, empathetic and everything good. Was very happy with the stay, and having my son and myself well taken care of. Staff was on top of things making sure we were ok. Had a couple surgeries there and both times, again staff and doctors were amazing. Making sure I was comfortable and my pain was managed. My last surgery last year, a hysterectomy, I love the night nurse who took care of me for the few days I was there. Not only recovering, but made me feel comfortable there. She, amongst others were amazing. Had to go back with a bit of a serious complication due to my surgery in ther emerg, I was in right away, was there for 8 hrs, which I am not complaining at all regarding the time, all because they did their investigation, ran tests, the IV thing, waited on the on call specialist to conclude their findings and give me a proper diagnose, talked me through all what was wrong with me and my prescription.. left there satisfied and was eager to start this recovery. Thanks for all those involved with my recovery. Lastly, a not so great experience... my son was not doing too good at all, this was 2 years ago. My family dr was on vacation at the time and not only that, was not able to get him in sooner at all. Took my son to the emerg and awhile later met with a rude dr. First thing he asked me was, do you have a family dr ? I replied, yes I do. Then he responded, then why are you here and not visiting your dr. I was a bit taken back, not only with what he said, but his tone was rude. I felt ashamed and that feeling I was doing something wrong like we dont belong/unwelcome there; almost the feeling of being small. He never looked at me when talking, never asked relevant questions to me, basically none at all, which i thought they have to do to be able to figure out what is wrong. He only questioned my three year old...I had lots to say, so I was talking away regarding my son's health, not even acknowledging me. After all said and done he sent me to a specialist for him and as we were wrapping up, I was talking to him regarding another concern due to his sickness and totally ignored me and walked out. I felt stupid as hell. I thought dr were trained, not only to do with health concerns but how to talk to patients and their family, empathetic, kind, caring instead of making them feel ashamed for being there. I wish I could remember this doctor's name to put it out there, but it was a few years ago.
Any time I have had to go to the Emergency Dept, I have been treated efficiently, and can’t say enough about the doctors, nurses, responders, medics. They are concerned, explain my condition the best to their ability and understanding. Same goes for the ICU, the staff are AMAZING. ????????????????????????
I don’t like how i had to give them 1 star they deserve 0 stars because the nurses have no people skills, talk back to you, worst experience ever. and dr L in emerge who was working Dec 22 in the morning, is the rudest dr i have ever dealt with, she just put her opinion out and doesn’t even consider yours even tho you know ur body the best. AND THE WORST THING they were trying to force me to have pain meds when i specifically said to the nurses and the doctor NO PAIN MEDS. all this hospital wants to create addicts.
Hubby had a heart attack ,nurses were awesome .Doctors were very nice and took the time to explain .I would like to thank all the nurse in emerg , ICU and Cardiology ward . Food is not the best but what Hospital does have good food !
Attended the group Eating Disorders program several years back. After the initial interview they called to set up a second appointment. Day of the appointment I drive the 1.5hours to the appointment for a 5 minute conversation to say they would like me to be a part of the group, drove the 1.5hours home in an irked state because literally that could have been done on the phone. Attended 3 of the 4 group meetings, called to cancel the forth due to weather. Never had any follow up after that fact. The program may have changed since my attendance in 2013, but at that point they literally were sticking us in a large room and showing videos from the 1980's with very little clinician support. Honestly I'd received better psychoeducation before the "program" by reading things on the internet.
When the nurses make bets on your weight, it is kind of uncomfortable...snappy emerg nurses, probably over worked, however not an excuse when your dealing with ill public. Called a few days later for blood work results after I was directed back to the hospital from public health. Nurse was rude and cut me off constantly while speaking on the phone. Very frustrating
I so wish I was able to add a photo to this review!!! My 15 years old son has been sitting here for 3.5hrs with a stick stuck 3inches deep in his leg and they haven't even so much as given him a Tylenol????
Very impressed with the efficiency of this hospital. From the initial registration to the cast clinic to x-ray to making my next follow-up appointment, everything was done in a professional, friendly manner. In and out within an hour and a half. I reside in the GTA and have not had this positive experience with their hospital(s). Parking costs very reasonable as well!
I had a surgery at the PRHC. The nursing staff, anesthetist and surgeon were all very professional and comforting. I felt like I was in safe hands and was well cared for. I appreciate the staff for taking care of me as you would for your own family. Thank You, Cortney
Our experience at hosp emergency Ok but The younger doctor in blue zone did not have empathy of my wife’s sever pain. She does not understand why she is so ill for over a year. He did his job. With xray but no empathy. That goes a long way to helping someone cope with an illness or find help. On the the other hand one of nurses was extremely helpful and kind and motivating and had amazing empathy for her and told her not to give up. I gave it 3 stars because of the nurse.
The whole nephrology unit is unfit for treating type 2 diabetics as they push ineffective drugs over proper nutrition and intermittent fasting. Several patients have died under their care with archaic drug therapies and profit driven doctors to blame. Audio/Video recording devices for your personal appointments are highly recommended as they will be your families only recourse once you are medicated to death. I've heard horror stories about the ER department here from staff and patients alike. One can expect to be judged and dismissed on appearance alone. Having said that there are many proper and caring Nurses and Doctors here who do their best with what they've been given. A hidden audio/video recording device is recommended for your protection and only through exposing these bad actors can things change.
Short staffed? Why??
My husband had to make a trip to the emergency room this week and we find out there is a covid outbreak at the hospital and not 1 person, nurse or volunteer was seen cleaning/sanitizing the charis. With the amount of people that pass through there in a day and a new variant on the lose you would think that as a first line of defense they would be cleaning the seats where many people sit. Sad to say that restaurants keep the tables and chairs safer than the hospital who should know better. SHAME ON YOU!!
While the staff is friendly. This clinic is kind of shady. They gave me two apt dates that where totally the wrong dates!!! They also didn't listen to my concerns about my period pain. I finally got a diagnoses two years latter. All they suggested was birth control to "fix my problems" when blood work and a pelvic ultrasound was need and it ended up that I donm't need birth control at all. I could be cautious going to them. I think they need to be review by some authorities outside the hospital. Something just feels weird about this clinic. I wonder if they have many complaints file against them?
During these unsettling times - and I am sure there is a shortage of workers here like every other place. The staff made my visit as easy as possible, it is understandable they are stressed and a bit “short” with some people, that’s the way it’s going to be for a long time. And we should do our best to respect our health care workers and give them the chance to help us, and not be rude to them
I brought my 18 year old daughter to the PRHC for an IUD insertion in Aug/20. The nurse practitioner that tended to my daughter did not have a great beside manner when dealing with a young lady. The procedure left my daughter in excruciating pain for a great deal of time afterward. The procedure was over in literally 40 seconds, the nurse practitioner was unsuccessful the first time, therefore subjected her to a second episode. Having had this procedure myself, I had promised my daughter that it did not hurt and "she wont even know it was in there". My daughter continued to have cramping and pain for two days later. I do not recommend this clinic for such procedure. I recommend an OB\GYN to conduct this procedure.
The Manager on 5A spoke to me like I was an idiot! I was asking about the discharge plan for my partner when he comes home tomorrow (knee replacement). You would have thought I was asking for the moon. I wasn't sure if I needed to rent a bed (all of our bedrooms on the second floor with lots of stairs) before my husband's discharge tomorrow. We only have a small powder room on the first floor and it will be impossible for my husband to empty his illiostomy bag in (oh yes, he had C-Diff his last hospital stay and had emergency surgery to take out his colon -- a used rectal tube was left on the floor on a towel in his room over night). The feces was dumped in the toilet and rinsed out in the patient sink!!!! Obviously, the Manager's lack of empathy triggered something from the trauma of my husband's last hospital stay ???? Anyways, my one star is for the Manager of 5A and not the other hospital staff on that floor. As managerial staff I would have hoped this woman would have been more sensitive to patient and family concerns.
My girlfriend had an appointment at 10:30, it’s been over an hour and the doctor has not seen her yet. Just be prepared to wait.
If you are in need of care in the Peterborough area, please go to Lindsay or Oshawa if you can. There is no organization more poorly run than this place. Noone knows what's going on, they make up answers when they don't know them and there is absolutely no oversight or accountability. People have died after being judged and not treated here. A girl went in because of a drugging, they released her because "she was partying" and she went home and died in her bed because she actually was drugged. Patient procedures are not carried out properly, often to the severe detriment to the patient, causing more complications. Please, please go to another hospital if you can.
My wife has terminal cancer and fell and broke her arm. Requires surgery . Nurses were amazing,BUT my wife broke her arm last Tuesday at 1:30 in the morning. And she is STILL waiting for that surgery. Are they pushing her to the back of the line because she is terminal and doesn't whine about her condition? Let me be clear, this is not about the nurses. If it wasn't for them, I'd be contacting a lawyer. Still might
My previous review of PRHC Emergency department was a single star. For years my daughter has been going to the ER with severe abdominal pain due to cyclic vomiting syndrome. Often staff would be cold, unsympathetic and even rude, believing her to be a drug seeker. Recently, she was fortunate enough to be seen by Dr. Vince Arcieri, who not only took the time to listen to her about her experiences over the last decade with this illness, and did some research of his own , but he also arranged for her to be referred to a neurologist. Today, she received a phone call at home from Dr. Arcieri who was interested in following up with her. ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!!! I can't even express my gratitude to this doctor for taking the time to actually care about my daughter. We have some work ahead to get things on a more manageable level, but thanks to Dr. Arcieri, she has the medical support we've been looking for!!! Infinite stars!
Dr. Preston is Fantastic and all the staff were more than helpful. He did an amazing job of repairing my shattered ankle.
Absolutely rediculous What’s the point of having an emerg department when you still wait hours and hours. Patients puking, staff laughing about it. Nurses walking around dragging their feet like they hate their jobs. Sour looks on their faces. Being forgotten about completely. The volunteers are excellent and kind. The staff in the blue zone a god dam joke.
When you saw through your finger bone and all, then get out in a waiting room for over two hours and still waiting. Likely going to lose my finger now. Thanks
In January of 2017 my husband was diagnosed with cancer. The PRHC cancer care unit was great. Appointments were taken on time. Nurses doctors and all other care staff very good. Whenever we had to go there for emergency treatment we have received prompt timely care. To me if your illness is truly serious the triage unit acts accordingly. As far as parking goes. Go to any major hospital and you will find that PRHC is not out line.
Amazing hospital never have had any issues what so ever!! Friendly staff on all floors! A huge thanks goes out to the pop clinic for yesterday for making my 9 month old feel better if it wasn't for you all my son would still be having fevers!! I greatly appreciate all of what you all do on a daily basis and for getting him looked at so quickly
The staff was surprisingly very friendly. I would of gave a five star but the parking was expensive.
I think in general, there will always be wait in any healthcare facility. Having said that, I had significant chest pain and breathing difficulties at work and was rushed to the ER at PRHC. There was a line waiting to register, but they pushed me through and right to Triage. After a consultation with a Dr, chest-xrays and a follow up with the Cardiology Clinic the next day. I was in and out of the hospital less than 4 hours. The care was amazing.
Nothing but excellence from emergency staff to palliative care ICU and Psychiatric unit . My daughter received so much kindness and care as well as my brother who died of cancer there. I cannot thank this hospital enough. It made me believe that there are still caring compassionate professionals even when under pressure the care never changed. The Psychiatric unit should be a role model to several other hospitals that need to see how professionals should act and care for their patients.
My mother was in here on a vent and passed away under their care, they called her boyfriend and just went "Sorry she passed we did what we could" and HUNG UP with nothing else said, they refuse to let us get her stuff and are telling us things that are simply not true. Its disgustingly disrispecful and i will NOT deal with it much longer
Our family has had to visit this hospital a few times in the last few years and I can say that everytime they have been wonderful. The staff have been as efficient as can be expected in the moment, friendly, and helpful. We are fortunate to have this hospital close to us.
Typical abysmal waiting times as well as extremely callous medical "professionals" who won't take your mental health needs seriously. My son was sent here during a suicidal episode and was told he shouldn't have been at the hospital. Who the hell runs this place?
2 months ago my grandson was born. The nurses were great and the doctors are very well mannered. I couldn't believe they check up on the mother after and visit her at her home. I can see why this Hospital wants to be one of the best. Thank you for treating are whole family like family.
Top notch staff !
Great help. Cancer center chemo treatments are excellent. They saved my life.
Whatever you do, stay out of their psych ward if you have a mental health crisis. It will likely make you worse, not better. A very few compassionate younger nurses were a bright light in this nightmare. But overall, the treatment of people in crisis there was absolutely appalling and dehumanizing. The level of indifference, ignorance and humiliation from psychiatrists and older nurses was horrifying. If you are looking for an emotionally and physically supportive place, please stay away from this psych ward. All they do is force lots of different pills down people's throats without any proper examination and then leave them locked up alone in a cold corner for days. There were also threats and intimidation. This is not a place of healing, this is a place of psychiatric and pharmaceutical tyranny.
Been in this hospital many times for my health issues as well as other relatives. The Drs need to come off their high horses. Most nurses are ignorant or if you ask a question it's like your bothering them. Today I asked a nurse a question and another nurse interrupted and was talking with the nurse I asked the question to about them both being off on Valentine's day. Wow. Parking costs are atrocious and cable is even worse ( $213 mth) That's just greedy. I would guve PRHC ZERO STARS. There is so much wasted space in this hospital and it takes you 20 mins just to get across the hospital cause the hallways are so long. Not a great design for anyone with physical needs or our seniors. No wonder families don't visit more. I avoid this hospital at all costs unless I absolutely have to go.
Two weeks ago I had a full knee replacement. The nurses and staff were wonderful and so attentive, my surgeon Dr. Lever, such good bedside manner and wonderful surgeon. Why only three stars? They were for the previously mentioned, the two remaining non stars were for the management or whoever makes the cost saving decisions. On the day before I was discharged one of the nurses came in and told me a man was going to be in the bed that had just been unoccupied. I couldn't believe it. That would mean a complete stranger would be privy to what went on in my side of the room, going past me to use the washroom. I don't imply anything sexual would have taken place, just my lack of privacy lying there so helpless. I wasn't even asked if I minded, the nurse was just told to tell me. The nurses on duty made sure the curtains were drawn at all times, thank goodness for them. How much money do they save by doing this, not enough to make up for the anger I feel.I have never heard of this happenning before. It should remain same gender rooms. We are not cattle.
The security is absolutely appalling after receiving treatment for MY FOOT i was threatened and harassed to walk off the property for an un lit cigarette when I tried to explain i was doing nothing wrong i was then harassed and threatened further with illegal tickets for supposedly "giving attitude". This is absolutely un exeptable especially at a hospital?!?! I sincerely hope this is not how the security treats the elderly and unwell.
Came here to get stitches quickly and spent two hours here sure hope all of ON isn’t like this!
Went to the Emergency Room and had to wait for more than 4 hours for the doctor to com. There is a reason that we come to the Emergency rather going to the regular clinic. We needed immediate assistance. The patient was in pain. They knew that. Still ignored it.
My dad was in the ICU for a few days and I was terrified. The nurses were AMAZING! All of them! They were all very friendly and extremely attentive! I have been to multiple hospitals where the staff were rude and grumpy which never helps the situation. But this is the first time going to a hospital where every single person went above and beyond while being kind and keeping a smile on their face. It truly made all the difference during this difficult time, and I am so grateful for everyone who was working!
Provides great medical services.
The people at the pop clinic are always so rude. Blows my mind. The lady that answers the phone and checks you into appointments should just not be dealing with people. Ignorant and inconsiderate every single time I speak to her.
After having my husband in for a little over 2 weeks I have to say from the emergency room to the nurses on 6B he received excellent care. Special thanks to Dr. Vajid and Dr. Talik for their thorough care. Friendly, caring and accommodating, I am so glad we went to PRHC!
Been to the hospital twice. Once I needed stitches and was in got the stitches and out within 2 hrs. And when I went in with pain they ran tests right away and were great at explaining their methods and conclusions. Love this hospital
Wonderful wonderful hospital when you need help thank you so much
The Peterborough Hospital Have people that don't know what they're doing They can't put in IVs they don't know how to read x-rays And the staff thinks everybody's drug addicts
Our family will forever be traumatized by the actions of a pediatrician at this hospital. Going to this hospital was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. If you have no other choice, at least know your rights and never stop fighting for them
On Friday May 28th, I needed to be rushed to emergency from our lake house and I really feel that I need to share my experience. Even though I was anxious, scared and unsure of what to expect going to a hospital during the pandemic - it was just such a POSITIVE experience thanks to the staff that took me into their care that weekend. Firstly, I would like to send out many thanks to the wonderful paramedics that carefully navigated a narrow private unpaved road to come to my aid and transport me to Peterborough Hospital in the ambulance. Maya and Sarah kept me at ease and comfortable on our journey. After I arrived, the nurses, doctors, and support staff in the emergency department were all kind, caring, and friendly which made me feel (almost) right at home. My surgeon, Dr. Banks, and her team were AMAZING! They treated me promptly and carefully. Special mentions for Nurse Emma and Nurse Dorothy on floor A5, who took such special care of me and laughed at all my bad jokes! Being in your care was an absolute blessing! I am forever grateful to each and every one of you! Many blessings to you all! Irena (and family)
As per ALWAYS with this "hospital", HORRIBLE. I once again left to go to a different hospital & was in, diagnosed, treated & out in less than half the time. My doc sent me over for a possible appendix issue & I was literally forgotten about. After 4 hrs no one had even touched my stomach or offered me a Tylenol to help with the pain. Your nurse stated she had multiple ppl complain about the BP cuff she was using & no doubt! I had to take the cuff off myself, the machine was malfunctioning & now I have a ring around my arm from blood vessels popping. Then I was taken into some gross room with an uncovered bed, sat me down & took my blood with no where to put my arm. Now my vein is black, blue & blown. The staff needs to be educated on privacy. I repeatedly let staff know I knew two other ppl in the ER. Because no nurses knew how to be quiet or discreet, I now know all of their medical histories! How humiliating for them! Whoever is in charge of the ER needs to ensure there's at least ONE medical staff member in the triage entrance. For 25 minutes there was not one staff member to be seen ANYWHERE.
Efficient, kind medical staff.
i was diagnosed with leukemia this past july and the doctors, nurses and all staff were excellent - attentive, caring, and kind...after 6 weeks in kgh i was very happy to be back here and am always treated with respect and dignity...
For the exception of one very nurse, it's the worst hospital I've ever been to. The treatment of their patients was horrible. The triage yelled at people. They ignored people and scared the elderly. Most terrible experience, I just left and I can't believe they're allowed to stay open.
I know my brother walked into the hospital. 3 weeks later he was dead. seems strange, i believe they killed him. As a christian I'm trying not to let this get me bitter. i believe it was his time to go, because God could save even if the doctors are terrible.
Worst hospital on the planet. They don't have doctors or nurses. Short staffed and corrupt management. Average time before triage is 7 hrs. The volunteers tell you it''s going to be a long day so try driving to other city to get treatment. They say they know they are super ineffective but they don't have money for doctors and nurses.
I felt comfortable throughout my experience at the clinic, from start to finish these women were accommodating and kind and supportive. I felt like I was in such good hands, very knowledgable and discreet. They made sure I was aware of all my options without pushing me one way or another and made me feel extremely safe and cared for.
What good fortune to happen upon Dr. Fuoco. My brother was diagnosed quickly, and we were sent on a path to other brilliant surgeons and radiologists, only because Dr. Fuoco has tremendous knowledge, and wonderful connections. Thank you.
I waited in a room from 1:30am - 6:30am and without seeing ANYONE! The doctor was too busy God knows where doing absolutely nothing. I waited for 5 hours for my test results and still nothing! After waiting for 5 hours, I was exhausted and in pain with no help so I left.
I am truly amazed at my experience at this hospital! The friendliness of every member of the teams and their genuine concern for their patients. Words cannot express my gratitude ????
The Peterborough Hospital is wonderful, clean, friendly and staff is excellent. you couldn't ask for a better hospital. Thank you
I'm shocked this hospital is allowed to function the way it does. It could be used to make a horror movie and it could be based on actual events. Most of the staff truly incapable of caring for anyone. They're really scary people, the triage admin staff are like a bunch of Annie Wilkes'. They won't help you, you'll only die faster if you go there.
Intake nurses in emergency are curt and rude. Accused me of being under the influence which I was not. Came in to get stitches, got accused of being high. Crappy hospital with costly parking and rude nurses. Waiting room is freezing.
28 weeks with a righ risk pregnancy. I went in with extreme vomiting. Was treated good the first night. The 3rd day I was there I was straight ignored. They didn't hook my iv back up stopped giving me anti-nausea meds and kept trying to feed me food that was against my diet. I had to ask to be discharged so I could take better care of myself.
24 hours after receiving a blood product I became violently sick. I spiked a fever overnight, and went into the emergency dept with vomiting, light sensitivity, extreme headache 12+++ and I could hardly move my neck. Shivering, sweating, and bawling my eyes out I threw up in their emergency department for over 8 hours. Once I was into a room, I asked my nurse to stop poking around at my one vein, which she assured me “was in” … I’ve never in my life been so horrified. Does consent not exist anymore? Stop means stop. The only way I’d go back is if I was unconscious and on a stretcher.
Had a knee replacement January 6, 2021. Cannot say enough about the staff on A5. A very patient and caring group in these trying times. Thank you for making my short stay as good as possible.
I have had two horrendous experiences at the Peterborough Hospital. The staff doesn’t care and does nothing to help. There is no empathy and no sense of urgency. Very disappointed both times I have been here. It’s worth the drive to anywhere else.
My name is Stephen brown.l have been going to this hospital for several years.l have two hips that needs replacement.l had one hip replace 10 weeks ago.l can walk well.l also walk with a Cain.everytime l have gone to this hosiptal several times and have gone to emergency dept and the staff has called a volunteer to take me in a wheel chair to the depth l need to go to.today the staff decided to make there own rules.l asked for the staffs name .he would give me his name.l paid parking twice today.once at emergency and one at the main parking lot.the staff made me walk a quarter of a mile.this hosiptal and the staff doesn't deserve a job.lm righting a letter to the ceo of this hosiptal.l found who this .the person behind the desk should not be working in this hosiptal.
Doc never sent the referral that they said they would send.
The nurses cared for my husband really well
The care we have received from Dr Hanson has been excellent. He is a very caring Doctor. He has an amazing staff and answers any questions we have.
Worst hospital, nurses are disrespectful. They never seem to have enough doctors. You have to wait 4 hours easily if not 8 before one can get seen, severity of your state doesnt matter.
Always clean and welcoming. The Women's Health Clinic is excellent. I've had wonderful and timely care in the ER - it can be busy, but every ER is busy. Had a surgery and an MRI in this hospital and all went smoothly with great care provided by all staff.
God help you. There's no reason to wait hours in a triage.
What I witnessed last night at the PRHC is very disgusting on all parts - the Crisis dept / Security dept / and two follow Police Officers - I was there parked at Main Door Parking lot and watched a Security guard escort someone clearly not the right frame of mind off the property - once he was, I guess far enough the Security guard turned and walked back to his office. Then I proceed to go down to ER entrance and watch 2 police officer escort another person not in right frame of mind (judging by actions of him) off property --------- THIS IS OUR HEALTH SYSTEM? AND PEOPLE THAT ARE SUPPOSE TO PROTECT AND SERVICE THE PUBLIC ??? Mental health help starts from these people and what i witnessed was 'these' people just saying ' nothing i can do for you so be on your way' go somewhere else.
Dr Jeffries in the emergency department has the worst bedside manner, lacks empathy and seems to have a total disregard for human decency. The ER was empty. There was no one waiting in line, no one waiting to be admitted for a bed. A ghost town. Being over run was not the reason for the unprofessional behavior. Patient history and input from the primary caregiver were completely ignored. He outright said he did not believe what his fellow care provider was telling him. What he said he would do he did not If you are looking for care and medical service don't count on prhc to provide it. Dr Jeffries needs to find a new line of work. I'd bet money he graduated near the bottom of his class. There may be a doctor shortage but prhc can and should do better. Until they do take your loved ones elsewhere. It is now 2 days after our visit to prhc. Have just found out the test Dr Jefferies was to requested to perform was not done. The care giver who ordered the test is making arrangements to get done. Prhc has also requested that they see my mom in case the hurried?? ER missed something. As previously stated the ER was virtually empty.
The mental health services at PRHC are absolutely disgusting. I've been there many times for my issues, and while waiting to be seen, I've witnessed security escorting a gentleman out because his manic behavior was "too intense" for the crisis nurse to handle. Well, I'd like to say, that if you can't handle manic behavior, perhaps you're not qualified to work in health care, specifically mental health. People can't help how they feel when they have mental illness. I've been dismissed several times, and it doesnt seem to matter what your issue is, they just don't seem to care. Very professional!
This place is AWFUL. I joined my friend on one of the hardest days of her life to get an abortion they made her sit with a IV in her arm for 2 and half hours with Nothing pumping through it then had the audacity to complain she was bleeding..the whole process that they said would take 15 min, took us 5, almost 6 hours. After the surgery she finds out they didn't check the results of her testing BEFORE the surgery which in return caused complications and she has to go back in AGAIN and have surgery. This carelessness has traumatized my best friend, this review isn't enough.
I want to thank, in particular, the anesthesiologist who did the first orthopedic surgery Monday morning, Jan 10, 8a.m. She put my mind at ease and was so sunny it made everything go so much better for me. Thank you so much! You are my sunshine!????
Wonderful Hospital great caring nurses and doctors and staff
The parking is robbery. Some people can't afford it and therefore cannot go to see their loved ones. Where I live not one cent to park at the hospitals. Absolutely a terrible blight on the citizens.
Great service in pediatrics. Super helpful, super informative. They took the time to make sure we understand what we need to do.
