Right now this business gets a rating of 3.9 stars out of 5 and this score has been based on 85 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings that it reaches is very positive, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the rating is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

I love this location. All the therapists I've had here are amazing. I always feel so relaxed when I leave. I've gone to a couple other of their locations and I never will again. I'll stick to this one as I've never been let down here
Relaxing atmosphere and very attentive customer service.
I have always felt welcome and been accommodated at Massage Heights in Mayfield. From the moment I walk in until I leave, they treat me with courtesy, respect and a smile. I have found them very responsive to any questions or concerns that I may have as well. Thanks to everyone there.
A wonderful experience! My therapist was Alex. He is very knowledgeable and conscientious of his techniques. All staff are welcoming and the place very clean. I am glad to be a member!!!
My girlfriend decided to surprise me with a couples massage from Massage Heights. It was fantastic. They have a very detailed questionnaire so that their massage therapists know exactly what you like and what you need. They have everything at their studio including aroma therapy, and hot stone massage. Their prices for a membership or introductory massage are also fantastic. 70$/month gets you a massage every single month. All in all... Great MASSAGE. Very Relaxing.
Very friendly reception staff, the RMT's are great. Location is easy to get to and well let if you are leaving a later appointment. You won't find massage treatments for less with their membership pricing, if you go even somewhat regularly it's totally worth it.
I've been going to Massage Heights Mayfield Common for over a year now. I've stuck with the same massage therapist since my first appointment as she is really good at what she does. The rooms and beds and business as a whole are clean and very welcoming, as are the front staff. I am also very happy with the price as part of the monthly membership. Don't know why I did not start going monthly years ago.
Guy Carrier is wonderful at what he does, I highly recommend him as an RMT. I was suffering quite badly with back pain, within 2 treatments I felt immense relief. I also enjoy that I can text the reception desk with questions, appointment bookings and confirmations. They text back in a timely manner.
The massage by Sumu was great. Not relaxing, but he really knows how to work out issues in the muscles. Though I paid for a 60 minute massage, the treatment time on the table was a lot more like 45 minutes, even though I came early for my appointment, and my forms were filled out before my appointment time. I mentioned it to the front desk staff when i was paying, and they told me that was typical for a first treatment, because the therapist needs time to go over your intake form (2-3 minutes), and time getting undressed and onto the table (2-3 minutes) is counted as part of your treatment time. (Does the therapist not go over your intake form and do you not have to get undressed for every session? So does that mean the typical session time is 15 minutes less than what you're paying for? This is not standard practice for the massage facilities I have visited.) I suggested this should have been mentioned before the session, and they told me they would make a note on my file so that it wouldn't happen in the future... I believe every client should be informed that they'll be getting less time that what they pay for when they visit Massage Heights. The atmosphere at the spa is very nice, everyone is friendly and professional, and for me, the location can't be beat. Unfortunately, I won't be back - unless you subscribe to a membership there for $70/month which includes one massage per month, an hourly session is $120! Not really an incentive to visit, if you're not a member.
Good cozy place.
Great staff, a fav for me.
I WOULD NEVER GO HERE AGAIN, HORRIBLE SERVICE, WORSE PLACE EVER
Not the best for deep tissue, but decently priced. In response to massage heights response: I used to get massages from Robert Brown when he was there. He was great at deep tissue. Since then I've tried the recommended deep tissue masseuses not only at your location but at a couple others. When I was getting the gift card deals and your prices were lower I felt i was getting my money's worth. But you haven't had the gift card deals in like 2 years now and your prices went up. I'd rather pay the extra $5-10 an hour more to get a really deep massage.
Wonderful facility - clean, welcoming - Alicia gave me the best massage for my neck, shoulders and hands
Great Experience, very friendly staff. Massage was one of better ones I got. Will recommend
Great staff very well informed and take every precautions necessary towards our epidemic
Great massage therapists.
Great place and staff. Booking for a massage is easy. I wish I had a longer massage time. It feels so good to just relax. Their massage therapists are really good.
Excellent staff with superb service.
Get place to get a a massage
Very fancy place, feels like a spa. The staff listen and care.
HORRIBLE PLACE
Kathy Ann is amazing! I have been to many massage therapists over the years and she by far is my favorite. Great personality and excellent at what she does. Very professional front desk staff.
I have recently move to Calgary and am looking a trying a new massage heights location. I am a bit worried that one will not compare to the amazing experience that I had at Mayfeild. I was never pressured to take a membership, in fact when I canceled they were really good about it. realizing that it was stupid of me to have canceled my plan I got a got a new one and was even more impressed! I have had two significant injuries to my neck head and upper back, which has caused nerve damage causing numbness in my face arms and shoulders. working with Adam, the deep pressure master!!! has done me wonders. in one situation I only booked an hour (that was the only spot they had) but I really wanted 90. after getting in and having Adam looked/ go over my back and said, " oh no, can we do hot stone and 90 min? if you can, I will miss my lunch." I damn near cried! I had been in pain for two days and could hardly open my right eye. And he did it, I was so much better when I left, I booked another appointment for later in the week. for another 90. ( this is normal if I don't go to acupuncture or don't follow my exercises properly for a while) and I was as good as new! I can't express how happy I was with this location and will miss Adam terribly!!!
I went there had a awesome massage by Sirina then went to book with her again and was told she is was able to do my massage because she was too new and I was stuck with some girl!! Call again and was told the same thing!! This time when I came in I saw sirina just sitting there I asked for her and was told that's not who I was booked and she wasn't doing massages so left this time!! If I want the same girl to do my massages I think it's fair I am booked with her and not someone I didn't ask for
My wife and I went to Massage Heights several times and we both agree that it wasn't for us. The facility is nice and the people are friendly but we didn't like that they try to lock you into a contract and we felt a lot of pressure to leave tips at the end of all appointments. As well, at least 20 minutes of a 1 hour massage is taken up by their prep time and maintaining their records (talking to you about the issues you want worked on, etc). I have gone to a lot of RMTs and as a general rule your time starts once you are on the table. Massage Heights has cheaper prices and I admit that schedule availability was good, but I still don't think I was getting my money's worth there.
She is really good
I had read earlier reviews and had seen comments about this but I thought people must be exaggerating, it seems as though they were right on point. I found the sales pitch at the end ruined the entire experience. I don't want to be up-sold after I have a massage, I get massages to relax not to contemplate spending a boat load of money and when I said I couldn't afford to do the first option another was given, then another then another. I don't like being pressured to join a membership for massages. I will not be returning simply because of this. Also the "tip guide" in the washrooms and on the back of the door in the massage room was off putting and very unprofessional in my opinion. I have been getting massages for years and while I know that tips are appreciated I do not like being bombarded with the recommended guide. The studio was clean, the massage therapist I saw phenomenal, but because of the way this clinic is managed at a higher level, as I assume the staff has been instructed to up sell the membership whenever they can,I will not be returning.
I would like to be one of your team, someday if given me a chance, thank you:-)
I initially had a bad experience with them, but one of the managers (Jackie) really went over and above to fix the problem. She did it extremely well, so I had a second visit, which was awesome. Thank you!
I went for a prenatal massage. Friendly staff and lovely aromatherapies. Unfortunately, my experience was lack lustre. Not enough pressure and too much time spend arranging sheets and pillows throughout the massage. Limited time spent on my back, which was my specified focus. I felt pressure to leave a tip (especially with the expected tip pricing guide in the washrooms). The savings hardly seem worth while to get locked into a contract. I’ll be venturing elsewhere.
First time here was really rushed 60min massage turned to only a 30min yet they still wanted $136 from me. Staff had no clue I was there for the introductory massage even though I told them over the phone which by the way is significantly cheaper only $63.00 but I never even got my free elevation with it. Very disorganized and to top it off the receptionist is trying to push a contract on you. The massage itself was good but sore after going home. First and last time going here.
Unprecedented service and amazing manager!
Been going to massage heights for a few years now they have some very good people.
I have found another massage therapist that does cupping. Melanie has now given me 2 massages with cupping She not only listens to me on how I am feeling before we begin but is asking questions while giving me my massage to ensure she has hit my specific areas. If you haven't ever tried cupping with your massage I would strongly recommend trying it. Melanie is perfect at her job and there is another lady that also does cupping but why try someone else when you already have something great. Thanks Melanie for joining the massage heights team I look forward to seeing you every 2 weeks
Love this place. Always great service.
Worst customer service ever.
If you are smart enough to get regular massages then you know when there is a place designed to fill your needs. MH does this pretty well. It has a yoga studio feel and the therapist I had was talented. I love the "breathe" essential oil with my massage. The operation is downsizing due to the economy and I believe there will be three locations instead of 6(?). I love the extra cost got stone massage. This will loosen those nasty tight muscles everytime. I signed up for the program where I pay a set monthly amount and I get my massage cheaper by 15 bucks compared to the usual place I went to. I can share 2 of those 12 massages with my mate if I want.
Exxellent place to get your massages i go 2 times a month
Such a bad massage service and worst customer service. I had went first time for massage therapy at massage heights and disappointed with there service. I pay the invoice with my credit card and next month they charge me automatically on my credit card without taking my permission. Still I am waiting for my refund and there is no respond from there manager. Never go again and going to take a necessary legal steps.
My husband was super sweet and surprised me with a couples massage (which was booked in separate rooms) as I was having a rough week at work. This was our first time there and we were offered complementary add ons which was nice. It was a long time since we both had massages, which we both needed. The place is really clean in the entry, washrooms and the room itself. It's a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. My husband had an awesome experience he said his therapist has given him the best massage he has ever received. Since he liked her so much and because of his experience he decided to sign up for a contract (I declined). It is $70/month or more for a single massage monthly, additional massages come at a different fee. As this is a 12 month commitment and you cannot get out of the contract very easily. The exceptions to cancel within the 12 months is a doctors note, death or moving 25+ km away from any massage heights location. Keep this in mind if you don't really want to commit for a year and paying the $80-95 at most other locations will be better in the long run. I had a bad experience with the therapist I was assigned. I went in excited and hoping to elevate some stress in my upper back, but I left with the stress and pain from what they call a massage. I've had massages in the past, and this was by far the worst one I ever had. The massage techniques felt more like pinching, and they continually tried to adjust the neck piece which resulted in me leaving with a headache and neck pain. I didn't even feel like I had a massage when I left, I felt like we wasted time and money. When we got home, he ended up massaging my neck which helped a little. The next day he took me back to make a formal complaint since I didn't sleep well and I was now taking Advil for the pain. The staff seemed really sincere and apologetic for my experience and the manager has scheduled a complimentary massage for this week with the therapist my husband had to make up for my negative experience. It was definitely worth going back as I received a great massage and they redeemed themselves.
Great massage very professional.
I had a bad experience here in 2017, and the company handled it in an appalling way. It would appear there is new management /owners. Hopefully it's better now, unfortunately I still won't be back.
The massage was great. The staff was nice. However, their pricing system is out to lunch. If you are not a member a 30 minute massage is 59.99- 10.00 above everyone else out there. A 60 minute is 40.00 above everyone else at 119.99. This is done so you will join their club to get the best prices (29.00 for 30 and 59.00 for 60). This forces you to make monthly payments - so you are forced to go for a massage every month whether you want to or not because your paying for it. Clever - but unfortunate. I will go elsewhere.
Love the staff. Good prices for members too
Guy is the best! I've never had a therapist work me so deep and be able to put me to sleep at the same time. Hands of absolute magic!
Went for a 90 mins massage today and had Jessica Viguie. She was really good, I really enjoyed my time with her. My first time there and loved the atmosphere, staff was very friendly, beautiful space & clean. Thank you Jessica ???? The only one thing was the face cradle was really uncomfortable, but honestly it was a really good experience overall. ❤️
I suffer from a car wreck on top of multiple sclerosis, my first visit an Asian man who spoke very poor English and actually made me feel worse, the second visit was better but when it was over I was left in a dark room I could not see, my right side of my body is weak from multiple sclerosis I damn near fell off the table This place guilted me into leaving a tip tried to pan handle the salts and roama scents, lastly my wife and I were sick from flu vaccines, then at u of a getting set for surgery on me they sent a message to her cell phone and instead of compassion they charged us and added on the bill these people are crooked and unprofessional DO NOT GO hERE!!! FYI there are much better places that give your money worth and are honest
Front reception extremely friendly. Unfortunately, the few times I've gone to get my massages they haven't given me the full 60mins. Today my therapist only gave me a 45 minute massage and it felt rushed and techniques were scattered. I choose not to purchase a package especially since this experience and also having to commit to 6months to a year is not flexible for myself or other people. Today would be my last visit there.
Great service and very clean environment! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for those needing therapy on the regular.
Service is excellent, staff is friendly, but the business is stressful to engage with. They charge normal rates that other therapists charge in the beginning, but pressure you to join their membership to keep prices normal. If you don't use all your time by the end of the calendar year, you have to subscribe to another year of direct withdrawls to access the time you already paid for. If you don't go on their waiting list to cancel service, they renew automatically. This is the first massage place I went to where I left more stressed out than when I came. Also, their beds make you stuffy. Its not just you, its the beds. The place I go now doesn't give me that problem.
I have to say that I have had great experiences. My therapeutic massages with hot stones have been wonderful. The customer service has been great and they have all of the paperwork that I need for my insurance company waiting when I am done. Everything has been smooth.
Very subpar massage, unprofessional massage therapist
Guy gives great massages. He has super strong hands and can get all of the kinks and knots out of my back and feet. I wish I could visit every day!
I have seen Guy Carrier twice for a deep tissue massage. I experienced back pain for 2 years without any relief. I noticed a significant difference in one 90 minute session and after my second 90 minute session I am basically pain free. I am confident after my third 90 minute session that I will no longer have any back issues. His passion for "fixing" issues is obvious and you can tell he is very knowledgeable. I have already recommended several people to book with him because he is truly a magician!
Wow are they pushy about selling their massage packages. The sales girl appeared angry and gave attitude when I didn't sign up for one of their packages. Avoid at all costs
Went to Massage Heights since I was having back problems. My therapist Mr Guy Carrier did an excellent job and adviced me on some stretching techniques, which helped me loosen up my muscles. MR Carrier is an excellent therapist, so if you need a massage,go and see Mr Guy Carrier
Reading through some of the reviews, I can relate to some of the comments. I, too, am not fond of having less than a 60 min massage when I am paying for 60 minutes. I put it into perspective though. The average price in Edmonton is $85 ($1.42/minute). As a member, you pay $70 a month for a 60 min massage. I typically receive 54 minutes @ Massage Heights. That’s $1.30/minute = $7.20 less per “hour” in comparison to other places. As a customer, it is in my control to allocate the appropriate gratuity based on the quality of my massage and time I was provided. I would like to point out that Massage Heights is not the only business out there that includes bed sheet changing and intake discussion in the session time and those competitors have no qualms charging $80 and over. Just saying….. The better deal is to get a 90 minute massage. It’s only $100; their competitors charge $120 and over! I go for that once every two months or so to spoil myself. Other than being discontented about receiving 54 minutes or less when I get a massage, I still feel you get your money’s worth. • The ambiance is great and CLEAN. (I have horror stories that would make your skin crawl.) • The beds and blankets are heated. • They use lotion instead of oil. I never have to worry about leaving with oily hair and I can go back to work without feeling disgusting. Most other places, I schedule the massage before heading home so that I may shower afterwards. • The lotions are scented. Some places charge for aromatherapy. Some places don't offer it. • They are open seven days a week and late on weeknights. I have two jobs and am diligent about taking care of myself and massage is part of my health and wellness care. I book an average of four massage appointments a month (at Massage Heights and two other wellness centres) which amounts to over $3,800 annually. I only get $500 coverage. Where I spend my money is considered very carefully. As for pressure, just ask for someone that can apply deep tissue. Ask for Stefan….I thought I was going to leave with scars but I sucked it up like a big girl because I got what I asked for: pressure. I am very specific about what I want worked on for each session. VERY specific and bordering on dictating (in a nice way, of course!) to the RMT. It is my money and I know how I want it spent. If you receive massages regularly, this IS the place for you. I've received services from many different therapists there and have only been unhappy twice. Considering how many times I frequent there (average twice/month),those aren't bad odds. REALLY. Not every therapist is going to fit your needs/likes. It’s all about preferences and the communication between you and your therapist.
