Having Fibromyalgia means I’ve avoided Registered Massage Therapy for nearly 10 years & full body massage for close to 20 years! If you have FM or similar pain syndromes then it’s likely you’ve also steered clear of the touch therapies. Probably I would have continued this avoidance tactic had it not been for an intense episode of pain on my entire right side including a throbbing head. It was just too much for me to manage alone so I took the risk and booked with Tessa. She wasn’t a complete stranger to me as I’d been following her loving and inspirational Instagram posts for a long while so I felt ready to take that risk. The Massage...not like anything I’ve ever experienced. Full Body, deliberate & safe. You can feel the intentional movements as Tessa is 100% engaged and present. Tessa asks you to participate by setting intentions & using visualization before and during the massage experience. I found this incredibly useful as it kept me present and focused during the entire massage, except for those brief moments where I completely zoned out...Which has Never happened before! 24hours later...I don’t feel that usual beaten-up-body like I have always felt with other massage therapists. My body feels a bit heavy with some tender spots all very very manageable. It’s a complete surprise not to feel totally crippled up today and I can even go out and do errands. Truly Incredible! I have had monthly massages for many years due to Complex Regional Pain disorder and they have allowed me to have some quality of life. Thus, I am very familiar with this form of treatment. Tessa's massages are unlike any I have ever had and my quality of life has improved dramatically. I have a much greater degree of flexibility, energy, and I have been able to enjoy the physical work of gardening for the first time in a number of years. It sounds trite to say I feel younger, but I do. My pain level has decreased and I have regained the use of my nerve damaged hand because of her ability to free up the ligaments and muscles in that arm. I would highly recommend Tessa's massages.

Tessa is an incredible RMT! I have seen Tessa for years and she has helped me maintain my overall health and wellbeing as well as recover from injuries when they’ve occurred (including a broken hand and injuries from a motor vehicle accident). I’ve also received abdominal massages from Tessa which have helped immensely with decreasing menstrual cramps and relaxing scar tissue from a cholecystectomy to prevent issues later in my life. Tessa has an incredible wealth of knowledge about the body and has a holistic approach in her practice, I always learn something from Tessa and feel relaxed and less tense after appointments.
