september 2020 i went to brylin hospital, a few girls had been here before going to brylin and had awful experiences, they had no pillow and were laying on a towel, they had no privacy and the staff wouldn't knock while you could be changing, and the doctors/staff were little help, it sounded horrible, glad I didn't have to go here:/

Terrible experience. I was supposed to receive emdr therapy for chronic ptsd, instead, I was talked down to and my problems were belittled by my counselor, Michael Stark,, in our first in person meeting after almost a year of seemingly pointless teleconferences. When I reached out to try and get a new counselor I was told they were to short staffed. So they made me go in to meet with him to try to "reconcile". He didn't offer and explanation or defense. Just sat across the table silently like a coward while his supervisor belittled me in the same way he did and eventually just told me to seek help elsewhere. Go literally anywhere else if you're suffering from anything remotely serious.

Was literally the worst experience of my entire life, I got in at about 9pm on Tuesday and got seen at like 10pm the next day, when they told me I would be seen that day. When I finally did see the doctor they didn’t help at all and pretty much invalidated my feelings and threw meds in my face

The people that work here really care, from the doctors to the counselors to the staff. Treating mental health crisis is not easy but they try their best. I see this place as a center for healing.

I wouldn't suggest this place to anybody who needs help. The worst services I have ever got in my life. It took them a month to even call me to give me an appointment which eventually I had to remind them and after that just no professional counselors over there. It seems they do not care about keeping their patients happy at all. Dirty and just stepping in there is like going to a homeless shelter. I am so sorry for WNY to let agencies like this keep their business.

They are treating my girlfriend horribly she is still in there she's been in there for six days and we've had no contact with the doctor or social worker letting us know how she is what the plan is or how long she will be there when you ask you just get to run around from everybody what a joke

Multiple times my partner has been invalidated by Dr Elberg and others working here. They told my partner with diagnosed adhd that he would not be allowed to get medication for it, and that all of his symptoms were "just depression", and then made it about his weight. I truly do not know how these people go to sleep at night talking to mental health patients this way. Do not go here if you want to be treated like a person.

Appalling levels of care. I was assigned a case worker that was more concerned about telling me about his life than listening to mine. Sessions with him were incredibly unproductive. I did meet with a psych that was there, but he was equally useless. I could tell that the caseworker and psych did not communicate well together, so I'm not entirely sure why they make it mandatory that you must meet with a social worker if you'd like to see a psych. To anyone that is in charge of managing the mental health rehabilitation program: you're doing a disservice to anyone needing treatment.
