You can only look around outside but it's still worth a look. It's super creepy but I'd still love to go inside.

Adam Delpellaro

Cool to walk around and wonder what's inside, but if you touch any building the guards will come talk to you.

Eric Petriew

Old, creepy, perfect for holding your loved one tight

Eric Fox

We went sight seeing during the day and wanted to check it out at night...security was very tight. Stopped us and told us to leave. Very uneasy feelings here.

Sean Liddle

They really need to work on this overwhelming sense of existential dread that washes over you as you walk by, the ghostly screams and that portal to the ethereal realm in the back alley they never cover up properly with asphalt. Avoid

Keenadawn Lemay

Too cool!!!!

Brian “Bones” Mckavanagh

This building is closed. It will never be open to the public. According to the Kingston trolley tour guide it is closed indefinitely and they even try to sell the building to Queens University and the university would not buy it.

I have been to that place 3 times over the years and I have footage of this time ...and proof of the paranormal.. To bad I can't put the video here ????

My Aunt's brother murdered his parents on a farm on the outskirts of Belleville, Ontario on a farm back in the 1970s. He was criminally insane and spent the rest of his life there until he died in the mid 1980s. I met him once, as my parents and myself were invited for dinner at the farmhouse on Saturday, back in 1970, we lived on the base in Trenton, Ontario. My Aunt Mary and her husband, Bud, was also visiting. My uncle was my dad's brother. Well, when we arrived there, the brother asked if I wanted to go and see the animals in the barn, I was delighted and said yes. I love all animals then, and still do. Well, when I got in the barn he shut the doors, and placed a plank over the hooks, thinking I couldn't get out, he looked at me in a very strange way, I was scared, so I quickly removed the plank, and ran like hell back to the farmhouse. I never did say a word to my parents on what had happened, but did tell my Aunt ten years later. My Aunt passed back in 2003, she was 90 years old.

I pass by, I didn't enter. But I read the comments in the map apps, and apperently it's a place where paranormal things happened. ????????

Marcus Beckett

This is a really creepy place, Mostly a tourist sight now as the asylum is abandoned it is a different sight to see in Kingston. The actual building itself is closed off and surrounded by fencing but the grounds are open to the public during the day. Security is very polite and is willing to be reasonable with you if you are following the rules.

This place made me feel sad, had an eerie feeling. Took my spirit box to give it a try and when I turned it on .. the box said its first part then wouldn't turn back on the rest of the time. I had tears coming at the corner of both eyes. I wasn't even crying. I took pictures l, and one picture showed something. I would go back l, not alone tho.

A cool place to stop in for a visit. Kingston has some beautiful architecture. We liked this too. It is all barricaded off and there was a security guard there. There are other hospital/university buildings close by. It was strange to see this among the hospital and university buildings. Creepy and cool. Worth the stop!

Nice Help sign in the front top window, definitely spooky. Need to go at night!

Ann Thorne

Right on the lake, nice walk.

I did some construction restoration of this building years ago and had to walk through various parts of the building. I still can't shake the feelings 15 years later. If your a thrill seeker, explorer etc my personal suggestion would be to find a different location. Some things are best left in the past. My heart and soul ache for the previous residents. Those who have seen the wall of names know what I mean. You have been warned ... once you walk through the doors of this building, your soul becomes intermingled and irreversibly intertwined with its history.
