I love my psychiatrist, Theresa, she is very willing to work with you. However, I can never get through to anyone on the phone when it comes to my medication. They do call back within a day but when you haven’t been able to get your meds in 16 days there’s a problem. My insurance is the problem however if their was better communication this could have been resolved in a few days.

Never billed insurance. Put me into collections. I was seventeen and supposed have insurance cover it. Not to mention was no help to my mental illness just saw me for 5 mins and said take some pills. Those pills made me suicidal. Real bad psychiatrist. Real money oriented. Well I was doing better mentally till I found out about my 525 credit score. Kinda scatter brained now. I want to kill myself because I don't make enough money to stay alive. Cool.

Helios Psychiatry is a Game changer as far as there incredible Staff, especially Greg Napolitano, PA-C, MSW...Since I've been there, sorry Since my referral to this clinic which was coming up on a year now I have been treated and medically treated with the utmost, unconditional and professional respect I have ever known. Their patronage is truly effective and without bias opinions of who, what, where your life was like before. If I was to compare Helios Psychiatry and these other private practice Psychiatry; Helios Psychiatry is the only therapy that I have actually seen altruistic and true miracles by true mental health and treatment. There is not a patronizing or any word of that meaning in the words that I am posting......."I thought, when I first started it was going to be like the 5 other Dr's that totally made me feel inferior and almost ashamed cause I was trying to tell them what I was going through and some personal issues that most Dr's were judgmental and would not see past some defects of character and substance abuse". "Well after about 10 minutes with Dr. Gregg, I was able to earn trust and a chance to prove my devoted promise to Dr.Gregg and was able to take medication that actually works beautifully for my ADD and depression issues". Well after a few weeks I was enrolled in my Adult Education program, I have been able to focus and develop a healthy lifestyle and routine in which helped me to see hope for my future". I am social, have a wonderful band and I love me today more than ever". I know that there are lots of words here and I only hope that they will find there way in to the soul of a woman or man that is ready to change the unfortunate mental ailments that sometimes need attention. "Be humble and listen, we have one life and thank God that I made the decision and followed through, had I not....let's just say that I would never have discovered the gratitude, respect for my life and everything in it. If you want real help from real Dr's that actually uphold there oath(s) and truly care about your life and well-being before you do.....I would not wait until your worse. My first appointment with the Doctor was mentally rough for me. I was not in a good place and had never been on medication in my life and was terrified. When I explained my concerns I was instantly relieved and looking forward to a new adventure. I took a break from medications and did well for years thanks to Dr.Patel's support. I then had a rough patch and decided to go back. Although I was nervous, the office staff are some of the most welcoming and kind people and are always willing to work with me. I always feel safe and at home at this place. I also see Ashley who is a therapist here and she is equally as wonderful. It is always a pleasant experience and a breath of fresh air. I have been to many therapists, but I am very glad I am finally in the right place. Everyone is very supportive and kind hearted here. I have received some of the best advice, goals and good habits to start here. If you are struggling mentally, big or small, I strongly urge you to visit this place.

I saw Teresa Kelly to manage my psychiatric medications from Nov 2019-Late 2020. I had been on various antidepressants over several years, none of them ever improving my health very much. Near the end of my care, I reported that I don't feel much better, and have not had any increase in motivation or ability to function. First, she told me that I was wrong and that I actually did feel better, and then became frustrated saying "I don't know what you want me to do." Months later, while seeing more skilled professionals, I received evaluation for and a diagnosis of ADHD. Teresa dismissed my suffering and got annoyed at me when what she was trying didn't work. If you aren't responding to first-line medications, don't bother coming here. You will only leave feeling belittled and hopeless. Seeing her for those months delayed accurate diagnosis and treatment for me.

Office staff is terrible. They billed me incorrectly, said I owe $1700 in a matter of a few months, then said I can no longer be seen after many failed attempted of asking them to fix the error and refusing to pay it. Office staff don't care about anything but money.

I've been going to see Dr. Patel and the counselor Ashley. I've been so pleased with my experience with all of his staff and with Dr. Patel himself. He is a great doctor and really cares for his patients.Ashley is great too! I wouldn't go anywhere else! I started going to his New Baltimore location up until he opened up a location in Troy. Troy is much closer to me, but both locations are great quality.

Not a fan honestly. Getting appointments with this business is impossible, they are terrible at answering the phones, or following up. There’s a line of respect a doctor SHOULD have with their patients, sadly my doctor did not show that respect today therefore that was my last straw with Helios.

I unfortunately had an AWFUL experience here. My concerns with medication given to me were ignored and I was treated like a guinea pig without the intellect or credibility to express how I was feeling during treatment. I DO NOT recommend seeing anyone at this center if you are a young woman of color struggling with adhd or a mood disorder as the associate I worked with was clearly not educated about how symptoms of said disorders manifest differently in women, and particularly black people. I imagine one would get better care as a young white man with wealthy parents. The lack of visibility of Black women’s reality when it comes to mental health and mental health treatment truly proved to be a problem here. SHAME.

Had an appt scheduled for Early February and I got a voicemail saying it had to be cancelled because the doctor wasn’t going to be in. I called today to reschedule my appt and get a refill on my medication. She stated since I had not seen the doctor since November I could not get a refill without seeing him I let her know I did have an appt in early February but the office had called me and cancelled it. That’s why I was calling to reschedule. She said the rx cannot be refilled until I saw the doctor. I said I understood I needed to see the doctor to continue to manage my medications, that’s why I was calling to schedule an appt. However, I only have a couple pills left and it would be unsafe for me to stop my SSRI cold turkey. She responded again, I would have to wait to see the doctor because I had not gotten my rx refilled since November To which I responded yes I got it refilled on November 20, 2019 with a 90 day supply and I still had 10 days left from my previous rx when I refilled it. (Simple math-December, January, February- 3 months would take me to February 20th + 10 pills =March 1 I would be out) She stated she could put the refill in but she doubted that he would refill it for me because I needed to see him first. I told her not to worry about it because I would no longer be seeking his services and that I would be going elsewhere. As a nurse pursing her doctorate in psych, this interaction was incredibly disappointing. The psychiatrist needs to educate their staff about the side effects of stopping these medications abruptly and to not make insinuations before understanding the facts. For patients who have no medical background, please be cautious when seeking care at this office. Any office that would rather you stop your medications cold turkey until you see a provider does not have your best interest at heart. I was not requesting a refill on a scheduled medication that required a MAPs, just my maintenance dose of my SSRI Prozac. I called my primary care provider and explained the situation and they had no problem putting in the rx for me and referred me to another provider for my continue management.

Never billed insurance, and now is trying me into collections. I had state set up before I got out of the hospital, and I had to follow up here as after care. Now their telling me well you had no insurance, yes I did. Funny how my other bills were billed to my insurance but yours. Also asked for my address months ago for bills, and I sent it never once have they sent a bill just randomly started texting me about one.

Although I am getting ok treatment, getting a hold of this place is horrible. I called all day for no call back when I was in serious need of help w my medications and needed to reschedule ASAP. There is no voicemail, and one person on the phone who is extremely rude. This is a medical building- start treating your patients w care & respect ; Start actually answering your phones and be concerned. Get more professional Receptionists or fire the current one. Absolutely disgusted w how I was treated when I am the one who needed help.

Called to set appointment, explained that I probably needed medication. First time appointment, met with therapist, poured out my soul, only to find that that therapist does not give medications, and I should find a hobby. Had to make another appointment, wait another couple of weeks to hopefully see correct therapist. I am grieving the loss of my son, haven’t slept in I don’t know how long. Tried meditation, herbal teas and melatonin. All have not worked. Am not seeking pills, but do need advice and perhaps medications to help me. Hopefully next appointment will go better than the first. Will update.

I see a therapist and medication manager and my son just receives his meds. Their always prompt and on top of their game, I never have to wait for refills or calls back. Julia at the front is an absolute god sent. I was in a very bad spot in life and I can truly say she's made a huge impact and my road to getting back to me. I have been coming to Helios for almost 5 months and this has been the best experience I have ever had. My therapist Kim has helped me through some rough patches in my life. I have never missed an appointment and feel myself getting better everyday. Unfortunately, my insurance stopped paying for my telehealth appointments and I was no longer able to cover the cost. I have been in the care of Dr Hetal Patel since late 2016. He is rated as one of the top psychiatrists in metro Detroit for a reason. He was able to comfort me and move me forward in my treatment for bipolar in a very confusing and painful time in my life. He is a straightforward man and you can see the gears turning in his mind as he asks you strategic questions about your symptoms and history. He may seem a bit brusque if you’re unfamiliar with him at those times, but he knows what he’s doing. He’s putting the pieces together and is trying to make the best of his limited time to help you. He’s a rare person in the field—he listens to his patients about how they feel about their medications, what they truly can and cannot cope with in side effects, and whether they feel the meds are a good fit. Under his care I have gone from a lifelong suicidal and self mutilating person to someone who is truly happy and has plans and hopes and ambition in life. I feel like a human for the first time in my life and I consider him a blessing and one of the main reasons why I am alive to this day.

Started out great. But as a parent with a newborn and going through other things I Admittedly missed a few appointments BUT I contacted them each time and explained. But then I didn't get any calls back I had to keep calling finally after 4 days of no meds, they said they'd see what they could do. I don't think missing some appointments should result in not getting prescribed meds.

We took our Daughter here over a year ago and left because they don't follow up are return phone calls. Now they are the only place in the area that sees kids,so trying to give them another try said would email the paper work and never did called 4 times over the past two weeks leaving messages and they apparently still don't return calls or follow up.

We have been receiving services for a couple years now. Between my husband and I it has been nothing but the best. We have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Greg is an awesome provider and always smiling and willing to help and listen. In December we experienced some issues with our pharmacy. Shelby went extremely above and beyond getting us taken care of. I felt horrible because she had to put so much work into it. She assured me that it was her pleasure and I was no bother. She resolved our issues as well as changed our pharmacy. I could not have asked for a more understanding, professional, outgoing and kind individual to assist me. Disappointed I have been coming to this clinic for years and today my family all decided to change clinics. My poor little brother with diagnosed OCD and ADHD got kicked from their clinic for noncompliance for not logging in to his appointments they never sent my mother any reminders the day before like they do feel r me therefore she was never able to remind him about these appointments this poor kid who liked his counselor there and struggles hard with change was stripped of his counselor and resources when he is diagnosed ADHD and shouldn’t be expected to keep up with his own appointments anyway…. Especially when you’re not sending his guardian a reminder to help him out.
